Went to store today. Needed key made and certain type of screw for home project. Gentleman who helped me was very patient and well informed.

Great that it’s close to me and I can find almost everything but select items are overpriced. Gloves, paint misc. Buy here for convenience but of bargain is huge travel a bit more.

These guys are the reincarnation of the old fashioned hardware store. They have just about everything you would want to find in a hardware store and their prices are fair. Their locksmithing and key making talents are excellent and they can duplicate just about any key you come up with. I would recommend this place to both the novice and experienced handyman.

This place most likely has what you need, they have TONS of stuff. The guys in there were very helpful. I needed two keys copied, which took them under 5 minutes. I can’t remember how much the copies were but I’m fairly certain they were under 5 bucks each. I also needed a shower head that would increase my crappy water pressure, the one they advised me to get worked like a charm. I am definitely going back to this place if I need anything hardware-related.

Very happy with the service I got here although I was quite surprised of being charged $ 10 for an effin building master keys… anyways the keys were nicely done, the guy seemed friendly. went here twice and maybe more in the future coz theyre the only hardware store near me…

I had trouble getting copies of my apartment key made before coming to Better Line. Other hardware stores either didn’t carry the key or the copies they made didn’t work. I will go directly to Better Line from now on when I need a locksmith. Ask for Gary or Roy. While the store is small, they seem to carry everything and the prices are good. I highly recommend them.

For a neighborhood of which two of it’s most prominent businesses are Colombian bakeries and hardware stores, A Better Line doesn’t do much to distinguish itself. The storefront is overwhelmed by the neighboring Wendy’s and the windows are covered with so much crap that it’s hard to see what’s inside. I’m sure in a former life this little hardware store was a deli or some type of a convenience store, otherwise this place could be mistaken as a 99 cents store. It’s small, cramped, and quite possibly(over)stocked with so much inventory that it makes specific items all that much harder to find. Fear not, they are actually fairly nice on the phone. It’s easy to call ahead and check pricing and put things on hold if necessary. Another big plus is this one of the few places that actually take credit cards.
