My friend & I were looking for a cold drink on a sunny day & stopped by McGuiness’s. Nice little spot off the 7. Staff are very friendly and attentive & drinks are well priced.

We went on a Monday night and it was quite dead. There was no game so that’s normal. The bartender was super nice and get conversationalist. The Magners with ice is not my fav, I rather without ice and in the frosted cup! We had a shot of nuts and berries it was a delicious dessert shot!!! Bring cash!

Love this spot. A brillant way to spend a night, with some classic draft beers and awesome bartenders. Its a real original watering hole. Highly recommend for those who just want a pint and some good conversation without all the fluff :-)

I had one night left in New York, and I began wandering Queens for a place to have a drink. I decided to make my first stop at the Mc Guinness Bar. I walked in, took a seat at the bar, and ordered a drink. I kept it simple with a beer, which was very reasonably priced. The entire bar is from Ireland – literally. I was the only person in that bar without an accent. I liked that it was a friendly bar, where everyone knew each other. I did not like that it was difficult to chat it up with the locals. I only stayed for one drink and headed over to Molly Blooms. Molly Blooms still had many authentic Irish folks, but they were a little more inviting to this Florida girl roaming Queens. Overall, the staff was great and friendly. I like a bar, where you can make friends easily. This place was just very«cliquey.»
