This was a fun place and the bartender/manager was very pleasant and polite. Prices are a little high and after you order the appetizer platter you should not have to pay for extra sauce.

My girlfriend and I came here during the last quarter of game four of the NBA finals so they only had seating at the bar or out back. My girl chose out back because she would rather deal with the cold than the loudness. That’s fine. But we weren’t told that smoking is allowed in the back area. That changes everything. We stuck it out and ordered two sandwiches. I had the Philly Cheese. It was good. Not something I can’t wait to eat again, but good. We enjoy Stouts and our waitress mentioned that they have an imperial stout(which wasn’t listed on the menu) but it comes in a ½ pint. We ordered two. It was a bit funny that they came in plastic cups instead of glasses. If the beer is a limited or seasonal release we’d get it, but it’s not. As far as the taste, really good in the beginning, but very strong alcohol at the end. That was unique and weird. The waitress forgot about us even though we sat right next to the entrance and she walked past us plenty of times. We had to wait a while until we were able to flag her down for our check, but she was nice. The food came out pretty quickly which was a surprise considering that even though it was 8:15 it was still pretty busy. So I wouldn’t protest visiting again but I’m not going to jump at the chance. Not great, not bad. 3 stars.

Yikes! What a waste of space in downtown Sunnyvale… This restaurant has never been my favorite but a recent experience prompted my desire to review. I have always thought the food was so-so but the front of house staff is what makes this place worth turning away. I experienced long, poorly managed lines to be seated, and it was apparent that the staff had never been taught how to work with customers on a busy night. I recommend checking out other bar/grills in the area over this place.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Ordered soup and caeser salad. After waiting an hour I gave up and cancelled my order. I spoke with the manager but all she did was give me an excuse about my friends lava cake. Said it takes 15 minutes for that and my order was combined with theirs and she spoke with the waitress after I cancelled it but never came by to apologize, waited for me to find her. Service was seriously lacking tonight. Is it that hard to ladle up some soup while waiting for the salad?

Immediately you are greeted in a most discomforting way by a surly hostess that tells you all the things she doesn’t want you to do. You are bringing in 30 peeps and that’s a problem for her! Then, she goes on a rant with everyone on how much of a problem it is if they don’t follow her rules. I gave them 2 stars vs. 1 star because the bartender lady was wonderful and helpful. I stopped there before joining the group upstairs, so that I could try the different brews to fine one that appealed. Not a good selection for a brewery, 8 taps and pretty generic, i.e., 805, Guinness stout, Bud, ect. But that stop caused our fire-breathing hostess to go on rant again about ONLY using the one overwhelmed wait person and confining us all to one check. The food is OK, nothing special or even fancy, but priced a little higher than most for the equivalent. Onion rings were oily, nacho chips tasted out of a bag, and the salmon fillet was very thin and dry.

My boyfriend and I went for lunch, and the place was pretty empty, yet no one came to seat us. We stood around for a long time waiting but right as we were about to leave, someone came to help us. We ordered the fish tacos and steak tacos. The food is ok, nothing special. The nice thing was that they had different drink specials for almost everyday? So on a saturday, a moscow mule was only $ 5. That was the best part of our meal.

The food here is fine, but it’s nothing special. We come for Puzzled Pint(solve puzzles at a retaurant/bar on the second Tuesday of the month — awesome!). Service is fast and helpful enough. Food is fine, but nothing special. I’ve had the Buffalo Chicken Salad, which is good in the guilty pleasure sort of way, and tacos, which were nothing special. I’d stick with the salad for the future. This place is fine to go to if you have a specific reason to be here like an event, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Great Ambience and great drinks. They have a variety of options light beers and sweet wines are our favorites. Drinks goes really well with garlic fries or chicken wings. A must try if you are in sunnyvale downtown.

Very poor server. We went for a office party and the server argued with us when we told that she didn’t take the order for the whole table. She partial order and thought that’s for the whole table. Though it was for appetizer but when we told that she supposed to come to other end of the table as well, she argued that how would she know if they are going to order appetizer or not. Strange ! Huh !! :) Never going back !!

I don’t know why this place gets such a bad rap. I’ve been to Firehouse Grill four times and each time it was good: 2 times were for a late dinner 2 times were for happy hour During one of the late dinners, they were out of their stout but my friend got a free half pint of another taster beer to see if he wanted that instead. I changed my order from salad to fries a few minutes after ordering and they said they’d give me both since they already made the salad. During happy hour, the appetizers were tasty and the beer was good. They’ve got a good hefeweizen here. Wings are very good here too, and I’m a wing nut. As for the other food… it’s grill food. It won’t blow your socks off but it’s good enough and the beer is good. Tons of TVs. I get the sense that a lot of the wait staff is new to waiting. They did make a lot of «rookie mistakes» but they were very friendly and very eager to try and correct any mistakes. So B– for execution, A for effort. To summarize: service was friendly if a little mistake-prone but super eager. Food is decent but the wings are great. Beer is good, especially the hefeweizen. I’ve got no complaints, and neither do my friends.

The happy hour here rocks. There’s some freaks in here and I don’t mean in a bad way at all . There’s some weirdos too but ha ha hell I probably add to that vibe. I’ve been here a few times and some people wanted too touch my shoulders I enjoyed it because they said they liked my shoulders and I very well appreciated that compliment. I love watching the fights here. They’re free, say whaaaaaaaaat, I said freeeeee! The food and drink are excellent, Great fun crowd. I love the atmosphere! The location, ambiance, and décor, hey this place rocks! I love the alcohol content in the drinks, nice pouring, they ain’t being cheapos here. THe appetizers are delish. THe bathroom is very clean. I haven’t tried the womens one yet but the mens room is real decent. It’s a great place for groups, hey bring your friends. Wait.I am talking about the restaurant. Try not too bring all your friends in the restroom at once if you have a big group, hey others gotta use it too. I highly suggest coming to this place. DO yourself a favor. The management and staff are all excellent here. HIgh five !!

The service was good. But! The manager is horrible and should have been fired years ago. Went there for a super bowl party. They charged $ 20 per person and thought that having normal staff was acceptable. …and THEN when the service gets unacceptable DON’T EVENTHINKABOUTCOMPLAINING. .they will kick you out! We went across the street to Paul and Harveys, where the staff and the customers were more than inviting! Huge loss for the Furehouse. I will never bring myself nor encourage any of my friends to go to this establishment.

I’ve came here twice before, and both when the place was packed for UFC fights. I can see how other Unilocalers can say that the manager can be a little disorganized at time, but have you seen how packed the place is to watch the event? And when there are other groups of patrons that want to watch other sports before the UfC main match starts? I can see how to seating arrangement can get complicated, so get there early for a good spot! The servers are pretty, their attire reminds me of hooters except they’re wearing UFC tanks. The service was awesome tho! Somehow we alway get Jamie and she’s so attentive and always checks up on us in case she forgot something(which she rarely doesnt). Thumbs up for service. Food will range between 3 – 4 stars depending on what you order. So far have tried their baby back ribs(pretty good but not melt off the bone. Big portion tho), nachos(big portion, hits the spot), habernero wings(must try! Such a good burning spicy!), and their bread pudding which was good. They have a whole bunch of alcohol to choose from, so you can’t go wrong there. This would be an awesome place to watch any events with a group of friends. The only downside about my experience is that ronda rousey lost… but thats something else to rant about. Ohh and I never experience any sleazy or cocky groups while being here, all just fans which I appreciate.

I’m totally confused by some of the reviews that I’ve read for Firehouse. This place is top notch. Came here to watch the Ronda Rousey fight– friends came early to secure seats. We had over 10 people and we were able to accommodate all easily. We order the Firehouse IPA, but they were all out, so we ordered the Pale Ale and a Blue Moon. Ordered the Southwest Hummus(very good, pita bread was warm and fresh), as well as the Angus Sliders and Chicken Caeser Salad. ALL were delicious! Great place to watch the fight. Would definitely recommend to others. No cover and totally packed with people and excitement!

How would I describe Firehouse in a word? Forgettable. Why so meh? When it’s not happy hour here, the food is overpriced for what you get. I ordered the Roasted Chicken Quesadilla for $ 12.95, which comes with a side of fries or salad. It came out on a spinach tortilla and it was kind of SOGGY, not crisp at all. The whole thing looked like something I threw together the midnight before an exam. Kiiiiinda sad. The service wasn’t fantastic, but it wasn’t horrible. I appreciated that they let us change the channel to a game we wanted to watch, but it took us asking twice before we finally saw the remote. The happy hour here(daily 4−6pm) looks pretty good, with $ 4.95& $ 6.95 apps and some standard drink deals. Just don’t expect the food to be stellar. Overall, if I wanted to watch a game at a bar again, I might consider coming back if it was happy hour. It seems like they host local viewing parties here, which is nice. Otherwise, I’d try for somewhere else along that row of Downtown Sunnyvale restaurants.

We had a company party here last month for about 40 people in their upstairs area. I read the reviews ahead of time and was prepared for crummy food and crappy service. I was especially looking forward to some run in with the infamous manager. Thankfully, none of what I read in the bad reviews were true. Myself and two coworkers were the first to arrive for our group, a good 15+ minutes earlier than we were booked. A lady greeted us as we walked in, I told her we were there for our big party, she said great, come on up. She was very sweet, pulled a waitress over, and got us kicked off. She then introduced herself and I was shocked — it was the manager everyone mentioned in the reviews. No idea why all the bad press, she and her staff were awesome. And we are not an easy crowd — a bunch of fickle sales folks and Russian engineers. The food was decent and the drinks flowed. They even went out of their way and gave me something that wasn’t on our prearranged menu. If the food was just a bit better, I would definitely call this 5 stars.

My company usually host going away parties here and it’s actually not that bad at all. I’ve also gone here on several occasions outside of my company and I’m still met with mediocre service and food. I will say this though, their appetizer options are pretty awesome, it’s just that they aren’t amazing. The beers here usually come out nice and cold so that’s a good thing. Other than that, I’d still recommend people go here. I just personally believe there are better options elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars, I would. First, we ordered Diet Coke, and they brought regular Coke. Forget about getting refills unless you chase them down. Next, we ordered appetizers in the hopes of getting food sooner. Half an hour later, they finally brought the appetizers with the rest of the food. Their Appetizer Platter was $ 25.95 for the world’s smallest buffalo wings and a plate full of fries. When we got to the entrees, they apparently didn’t know the difference between rare, medium rare, and medium. They said their rare is «pretty much like a medium.» After we finally sought out their manager/owner, a woman named Laticia, she told us to go find a different restaurant. Will do.

I came in specifically to taste their brews. The place was not to busy late Sunday afternoon. I tasted all the brews available: — American style Hefeweizen(5.2% ABV) — Pale Ale(5.6% ABV) — Hops on Rye(7.5% ABV) — Blonde Ale(4.9% ABV) — Fire Engine Red Ale(6.5% ABV) — Irish Stout(6.1% ABV) I found all of the brews to be rather ordinary and unexciting — except for one — the Hops on Rye was outstanding! It was a wonderfully hoppy Ale with notes of citrus and crisp and bitter. If I was rating Firehouse on just that one Ale — they’d earn five stars — but the other beers dragged the rating down. The service was good. My server was Kim, she was very attentive and when I asked questions about the brews she could not answer, she fetched the manager who came over to chat with me about their brews. I’d come back here just to drink a pint of the Hops on Rye!

The food was decent. The service was horrible. The bartenter never once ask me how was my food but she did ask the person next to me. I never been so humiliated in my life. I felt like walking out but I bite my tongue. I felt with it and moved on. I will never go back to this place. The cold beverage was good. I tried the Pale Ale. I opened my appetite with and appetizer and I had the ceviche. It was really good. Then I finished it with the grilled chicken club. The food was decent but the service was really bad. #SeñorFood
