DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

Sandal broke after second time of wearing them. Immediately, went to the store after classes, told them what happened, they made it a quick, easy, and painless process. The lady that took care of me found out that I wanted to wear the sandals for a special event, so, she made sure that we found the correct size quickly. Got in/​out of the store in less than five minutes. Overall, great experience. DSW shoes is where it’s at.

Super selection.. clean, easy to view display, friendly staff and no long lines at checkout! A shoe can change a girl’s life… just ask Cinderella. :)

Customer service? DSW knows what excellent customer service is and they provide it.
This morning I went to 6 stores looking for aqua shoes to wear for a water aerobics class where the bottom of the pool is rough. The first 5 stores said they did not have what I wanted and did so in a less than friendly manner. The 6^th store, DSW Shoes, did not have them in my size … however, the difference in attitude and the level of customer service was phenomenonal. I was greeted as I walked in the door and immediately assisted to find the shoes and when we did not see them in my size the young sales clerk suggested that she would look on line and order them for me. She took care of it all and there is no shipping charge either. I will definitely go back to DSW when I need or want shoes again. Kudos to Madaleine at the Sunset Valley store for excellent customer service.

The Lady of the house found exactly what she wanted. This is despite shoes being all mixed up on the display shelf and even in the boxes. I did not like this, but then realized it was customers too lazy to put things back, and sale chaos (I remember this show that showed security being trampled as customers, both male and female rushed a shoe store at opening), and the big plus… an extremely careful cashier who went over each shoe, and the box, to make sure it was absolutely correct and in perfect condition.
However, I was fine with my own old sandals so I trotted off to a corner and stayed out of the way!

This is my go to place for none sports shoe purchases. I think that 3 out of 5 of my recently purchased shoes have been bought here. I love the clearance rack selection and the store has always been clean and well organized when I’ve gone here. The staff are very helpful as well. — Went here this weekend to look for a new pair of flip flops/​sandals and the staff were again super nice and helpful. However, they didn’t have a great selection of my size and after finding a pair that was a style I liked I did the quick Amazon price check and realized that they were almost 40% cheaper online… So, had to purchase online… Even if I was willing to pay more to have them that day they didn’t have my size. :(

All DSW shoe stores are huge. This is a good and bad thing in my opinion. The bad part is that because it is so massive it can be a bit overwhelming to look at everything and make a decision. Luckily I have figured out the trick to getting in and out quickly here and that is just skim the aisle from a distance. I do not wear heels so I get to avoid that section, which saves time.
The good thing about DSW is that they have a large selection and variety of types of shoes and styles. So when I am looking for a particular shoe to match something there really is no better place to go then DSW. Tons and tons of options. Options are always good, unless of course you are the indecisive type. DSW also does accessories like socks, purses and jewelry.
Anyway I enjoy options and will continue to pop in and out of DSW when I am in need of a decent shoe.

Let me count the ways of how I love this place! I am a clearance shopper through and through! I have found shoes, wallets, purses all on discount. I haven’t had issues with returns and the customer service has been great too. I plan to actually do some shopping there tomorrow for a Holiday party at the end of the month :). plenty of a selection for size ¹¹⁄₁₀ shoes! Yes I have boats! lol … Get their points card and also sign up for free coupons. LOVE IT!

The older I get the more I have to avoid the heels and move toward comfort. BUT I still want to look nice and sexy. DSW is the place to go to have TONS AND TONS to pick from and they always have multiple sizes. I love that the store is clean, help is always around, and best of all… they love my dog. That’s right, in a store with lots of leather, they welcome him with open arms. I WILL be back-​WE will be back!!!

Been here once. Open store lay out. Great sales! Clean. Upfront and close parking and moderately busy. Good place to buy shoes or purses.

Really didn’t find anything to my liking here. Prices are alright, selection for guys not so much. Long story short didn’t buy anything.

They have a great selection even on their clearance section. I gave this a above average rating because this is the one place I know I can buy shoes and know I will walk out with something I really like at a reasonable price. Not sure I will be taking these boots off anything soon. TIP: If you need to use the tool that measures feet, they keep them behind the register. Just walk up to the side of the counter and ask the nearest cashier. Might be a bother to some, but I didn’t care all that much.

Oh for the love of Dr Seuss — how much easier does this need to be? I’m assuming you’re a normal guy and not some trust-​fund baby or in showbiz:
1. Go to a DSW. This one is a good one with lots of parking.
2. Bear left and head straight for the men’s dress shoes.
3. Pick anything you want. No, really. But it must cost $ 69.99 or more — no exceptions.
4. (Okay, you can disregard anything labeled «Bicycle Toe.»)
5. Lace both shoes, put them on, and walk around the entire DSW store on the carpeted area. That’s why it’s there. If the shoes don’t fit, just put them back in the box and pick another pair.
6. You need a break? Okay, take a moment and study the women who are shopping here. They know exactly what they’re doing. Don’t be creepy about it.
7. And then take that pair you’ve picked and laced and walked around in and felt good in and cost $ 69.99 or more and buy them. Do not look at or be distracted by sandals or sneakers or flip-​flops or loafers or other bright and shiny things DSW always has on display. And do this every four weeks. No, really.
Within a year, you’ll have a decent shoe wardrobe for less than a grand and cool women will look at you differently. I’m not kidding. You thought they were chuckling at your wit? Hahahaha! Thank me later. Pay it forward. Good night & good luck.

I grew up in DFW, so I always thought this place was named Dallas Shoe Warehouse. Apparently I was mistaken.
Either way, this particular store is by far the largest and swankiest DSW I have ever seen. Jaime isn’t kidding about the jungle theme. And the shoe selection is the same. Rather than peruse the latest and greatest shoes and handbags, I make a beeline for the clearance aisles. This place is similar to any other «designer brands at discount prices» place — you have to go early and often to hook a stellar deal. However, you always have the option of spending a bit more to get a great pair of shoes.
On the couple occasions I’ve been to this store I’ve found some amazing deals on gorgeous designer shoes. But each time, I chickened out, only to return a few days later to find that the shoes had been purchased (duh!) So if you find something you love, just take the plunge. You won’t be sorry.
DSW also has a web site, which I’m sure most of you know, but I’ve had much better luck finding unique and discounted styles at their stores.

I know nothing about shoes.
But I’m here often while someone else enacts therapy thru shoe shopping.
Gentleman, this place is on point.
The mens section has a flat screen t.v. and some club chairs to chill in.
You can put your feet up.

I call this place, «Shoe Heaven» because it is where all the unwanted, unloved, overstocked shoes appear from previous seasons. They all conglomerate under one roof. Definitely overwhelming if you’re not prepared going in.
Now, it’s not Payless, so don’t expect really really cheap prices normally. However, sometimes you can find a great deal in the clearance section in the very very back of the store. What’s awesome is that there is a wide variety of sizes and I know that a friend of mine with large size feet is able to find cute shoes when she needs a pair. So, definitely good if you want to find shoes in your size.
In the non-​clearance areas, the prices are comparable with other discount shoe warehouses. I will attest they have a crudload of Chuck Taylors (which I needed last night) as well as other pretty useful shoes and boot styles. Guys, there’s also lots of shoes for y’all, too.
They also have a free rewards program where you buy so many $ worth of stuff and get little gift certificates to use, which is pretty nifty.

Holy Shoe Heaven.
Just the mere smell of this place excites me. I could literally spend countless hours happily wandering around and soaking in the shoe’s. Fortunately my sensible side (or whats left of it) drag’s me and my credit card out of there before I can spend my entire rent check.
It’s organized by type so it’s easy to find what you want, and the prices are good but can get a little high on some of the more name brand stuff. but OH MY GOD: the backroom. It may seem cheap but I take myself straight back there before I even look at anything else, because I unfailingly find the perfect pair of fabulous heels that I never knew I couldn’t live without for up to 70% off. *swoon*.
The only downfall is that the men’s section is a little sad. sort of small and without much variety-​but it’s a rare occassion that I shoe shop for feet that are not my own so I don’t really care that much, sorry.
The staff is helpful, not pushy, and there’s always someone around if you need them. If you haven’t been, go.

I went shoe shopping with Peter P. today — he was shoe shopping not me. And I «crossed my heart and hopped to die» that noway would I post on Facebook that we went shoe shopping together — a guy has a reputation to uphold with his high school mates after all:)
But, thanks to Peter I found a replacement to my beloved Skechers that fit my feet like they were made for me. I tried on numerous shoes and was complaining that Converse had no arch support when Peter directed me to the Skecher display at the entrance that I had completely overlooked…
Thanks to Peter and DSW I have a second pair of the most comfortable shoes I have ever put my feet in at 30.00 less than what I paid at The Skecher store and in black (more fashionable than taupe).
And double Yay to hear my total is 86.46 when I was expecting to pay 99.95 plus tax!

Heaven on earth. Enough said.
I am not a mall shopper. I deplore malls and everything they stand for, so practically every shoe I own I have purchased from DSW. I particularly do not like being stalked by sales associates when I am perusing the shoe section looking for inspiration as half of the shoes I own are inspirational purchases. Stalkers chase me away.
I remember the first time I walked into a DSW. I was in San Antonio, TX and I saw the sign in the strip mall off 410. I swore when I walked into the place I heard the heavenly angels singing, trumpets and there was this fantastic glow. My heart goes a flutter just talking about it.
The best time to shop is at the end of the season with all the discounts you can walk out with 5 pair of shoes for about $ 100.

I love shoes. If it came down to saving my shoes in a fire or saving my birth certificate… well, you can always order another birth certificate, right?
Very much like Tara H.‘s mom, I too have to smuggle shoes into the house after a shopping trip at DSW. It’s just what I do.
What I don’t like about shopping for shoes at the mall is the feeling that I’m constantly being stalked, having someone watching over me in case I show an interest in the shoe, ready to come in and scoop up the commission on the sale. Shoe shopping is my therapy, and I don’t need you around. At DSW, the sales peeps leave you alone and only offer to either 1) give you a bag to put your shoes in or 2) hold items at the register while you continue to look around (this happens when you buy in bulk). No stalking at all.
I’ve called this store many times just to check to see if they have a shoe in stock in my size, and they are always helpful. The phone on-​hold time can be a little long, but they ARE searching through a warehouse looking for my glass slipper, so I understand.
A tip if you shop a lot here for shoes — join their reward program. It’s free, and you get points for gift certificates and whatnot. You can track your points online and see when you’ll be getting a certificate. Also, by joining their mailing list, you get discount cards and other goodies. They send just enough info to keep you interested, but not so much that you want to get off of their mailing list. Oh, and if you join the reward club, you also get a discount on your birthday.

I was raised with a mother who has both a shoe and a handbag fetish. I’ve seen her drop $ 600.00 at DSW before and then have to smuggle the stuff into the house day after day so my dad doesn’t know she bought it all at the same time. Which is kind of hilarious.
Oops. I just outed Mom. Sorry Mom. Get help! Seriously.
That being said, I love this DSW’s back room. Aren’t all the back rooms the same, you ask? No, darling, no. Not all DSW’s are created equal. You see, they stock the stores according to the neighborhood. Which is probably why you don’t see many DSW’s in the hood. Ba dum dum.
I always hit the back room first as it has the best deals. Once, I scored four pairs of shoes (Nine West, Carlos Santana, etc.) for $ 40.00. The back room is awesome.
Once I’ve exhausted that, I hit up the front room. It’s loosely laid out by shoe type. Boots, athletic, heels, wedges, etc. etc.
I rarely leave DSW without a pair or two, because, well, as a fat girl, HELL, as a girl, nothing makes you feel quite as beautiful and feminine as a new pair of shoes.
