I had previously visited with an ok experience that I would’ve rated 2 – 3 stars but this last visit really prompted this bad review. I was denied service at 9:47pm on a Monday night. They have posted closing hours are at 11pm. The reason they gave me for refusing to seat me is that their kitchen closes at 10pm. First off, I arrived before 10pm. Second, why would you advertise a closing time if you’re not going to serve anyone prior to it? Third, the whole point of hotpot is cooking your own food at your own table so how much does the kitchen really need to do anyway 1+ hours prior to closing!!! It would’ve gone better if they gave me some other b.s. excuse than that. Like, maybe they didn’t like the shirt I was wearing or something.

Love this shabu shabu place. Service is always on point and I love their sauce bar. Everything is always consistent at this restaurant.

OK. So we are very new to eating this type of Asian food although we loooove the taste. I convinced my 100% meat & potatoes redneck hubby to try this place. When I told him we cook it ourselves he nearly turned around. Dining here was an experience… More than sitting down & ordering from a menu. It was awesome! We had so many laughs together as we filled each of our broth pots. He was skeptical but said he truly enjoyed it, as I did also. This restaurant is a jewel! If ur considering giving it a try… u won’t be disappointed.

I’m so glad I found a good hot pot place in Suwanee. I recommend the combo for a beginner so you can try their seafood and a choice of meat. I tried the prime beef and it’s really nice and lean. I also recommend their specialty sauce which they put together for you. It comes in different levels of spiciness. They even have a call button so you wouldn’t have to wait around if you need attention. It’s a great idea having the cubicles as it gives extra privacy. Overall, we really enjoyed our first experience here and we’ll definitely come back.

My all time favorite spot! I always get premium beef and make my own sauce. That peanut sauce is the bombbb! The best part is the rice porridge At the end.

The service was great and they patiently explained how the system works here. Their dipping sauce is very flavorful and it comes in a range of spiciest to not so spicy. Unique and delicious. The prices are reasonable, ranging between $ 7 up to $ 15.

Meh. Not really impressed. Had a dumpling appetizer and they weren’t homemade — tasted like the frozen ones you get a Costco. Had some other lettuce appetizer thing(forget the name) and the lettuce smelled like it was washed and dried with a dirty dishrag. I couldn’t even finish it because it smelled. Had the premium beef plate and you get very little meat and it is pricey. Service was fine but food was subpar. Won’t return.

Service here is pretty quick and friendly enough. The menu is a basic korean hot pot with options like beef, veggies, and seafood. The broth here is what keeps me coming. Its tasty on its own and when you boil your veggies and meat in it it becomes even better. They bring you a sauce but you can go add more ingredients as you like. After your meal you can add noodles or rice to your pot as a finishing touch.

Great little Shabu shabu find in Suwanee. Nice staff(and they are easy on the newbies too). Good broth and good selection.

I came here on Easter Sunday with my girlfriend and usually we’ll both get shabu, but I ordered the cheese donkatsu this time(under the kid’s menu huehuehue). How was it? Freakin’ good. I loved every bit of it. You’d expect just cheese and pork, but nope. THEY peppered it inside(thumbs up)! Super savory and hot. Oh, can’t forget the fresh sliced tomatoes and plenty veggies. Not a big fan of French fries(cutlet is already fried), but it wasn’t bad. But my main reason for FIVESTARS is the staff. They’re extremely nice, friendly, courteous, and professional. Usually the dish I ordered comes with rice, but the server apologized immediately and told me due to rice going out all at once I’d had to wait for 10−15minutes. I liked the fact that he told me upfront and was very sincere. Seriously, he cared about his customers! And because it took so long he even offered a free drink! Of course, I didn’t take it(I don’t drink soda), but man… talk about being professional! I love everyone’s attitude. Will definitely be back. Thanks Gom Shabu Shabu~

The shabu and food is good. No complaints there but service was not up to expectation. I wish the servers checked up on us more and granted this is a korean restaurant and if you need something you press the button for them but they did forget one order that I put it. I don’t like to ring the button to call them, I want them to check up on us when they need things.

Great place for shabu shabu on a cold winter day! We had reservations for a party of 7 and we were seated in a private room. I got their premium beef shabu for $ 14.99. A huge platter of fresh veggies, a few dumplings, glass noodles, an egg and a hot dog link. The amount of beef was disappointing. I could’ve easily eaten 3 servings of this beef. That’s a shame because the beef was super tender and flavorful. FYI, wait till they bring your sauce to you before you add the ingredients into the hot pot. They make the dipping sauce for you based on the level of spiciness. I got mine medium spicy and it was perfect. Full of flavor and spice, with small chunks of raw green peppers and garlic. At the end, I ordered a side of udon($ 1.99) to finish off my meal. There was a service button in our room and within a few seconds of pressing it, a server appeared and took excellent care of us. No problems there. A solid shabu shabu joint.

I explained to the staff that I had never been to a restaurant like this before and still I received little to no explanation on how to order, make selections and season food, etc. I asked multiple questions, but I felt more of a nuisance than anything. I would recommend some sort of «tutorial» for newbies, like myself. I found the food to be bland and a lot of work.

this is a sister location to the one on satellite blvd, it just so happens that it’s much closer to me :) and as i’ve already written a lengthy declaration of my love(review) for the other location i’ll just mention that everything is basically the same(you’ll even see some of the same workers) but with updated personal digital burners. WHICHAREAMAZINGANDSORCEROUS! they heat up the broth amazingly fast! and it’s nice being able to control the heat per your personal preference. i’m just a happy camper that it’s 5 minutes driving distance from me. ahh… love.

food is good, like any other shabu shabu place. service is way slow, though. we didn’t get our sauce until about 5 minutes after our food and no water till later. i understand that they’re busy with new customers/grand opening but theres not excuse for the water and/or sauce being late after we’ve asked about it multiple times.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed both times. There’s another location off of satellite blvd. with the same name,(not sure if they’re affiliated with one another). They offer a lunch special on weekdays. $ 10.99 for regular beef platter which includes a plate of mixed veggies and glass noodles and a plate of thinly sliced beef. The way shabu shabu works is they give you a pot of broth and you cook your food in it. It’s basically like asian style fondue. They have a sauce bar that you use to accompany your meats/veggies. They offer to make the sauce here for you. You can either get mild, spicy or really spicy. I like my sauce somewhere in between spicy and really spicy. You can either order items a la carte but I like to order the platters for the variety. The service here is good. There’s a call button at every table if you need your server for any reason but the servers are pretty attentive so I didn’t have to use the button either time I’ve dined here. I’ll definitely be back!
