Went here for almost 20 years from when I was a kid to when they moved to Suwanee. Place was good most of the time. Loved their miso, their salad, edamame beans, and steak teriyaki. Their food was not up to par the past few times I went there. Owners retired I heard. Sad they should sell the business to somebody else.

By far our favorite sushi place in the area. Sad for us that the owners retired and it’s closed, but best of luck to them in their retirement!

If you want sushi like real sushi rolls don’t go here. On the menu and posted on the walls are sushi rolls are priced 4.00−6.00 the rolls are so small like bite size. Not worth the price. They ended up being about 9 – 10 for 8.

What I love about this place is that it is Korean Sushi which imho is some of the best Sushi in the world. My family had been going to this restaurant for more than 15 years. This restaurant used to be in Duluth next to Guitar center on Pleasant Hill road. Even though Kinyobee has moved to his new upgraded restaurant across town from me, we still make the trip as it is well worth it. Now for the food, Kinyobees baked Green mussels are out of this world! Top it off with a spicy tuna avocado appetizer and you will be hooked permanently. If by some chance you are a hand roll lover, you have arrived at THE best hand roll I have ever found coast to coast. I do travel a lot so this is not a light statement. My favorite roll there is the Ichiban roll. Kinyobees unique blend of spicy tuna with a little crunch topped with avocado, eel and shrimp top off a master piece. Ask for your favorite toppings for your own custom taste. The rolls are the perfect bite size and are not loaded down with a ton of rice which are typical with a lot of Japanese sushi bars. Put this place on your list of places to go. You won’t regret the food or the excellent service.

Suwannee & Buford area are seriously lacking when it comes to great sushi but there are a few decent places around and Sushi Kinyobee is one of the better ones. If you like a little coconut, I highly recommend the lily roll. As for the other rolls, they are good but lacking a wow factor which is why I give the place 3 stars. As for the service, it is always Excellent!

Great food. Great service. Decent prices. I came to visit family and needed to find a sushi place for dinner. We came across Sushi Kinyobee and absolutely loved it! Very attentive and friendly staff. They did not hesitate to personalize our rolls and it all tasted very fresh.

While visiting friends on vacation we introduced a new person to sushi! This place didn’t disappoint. Excellent prices for serving size. We just had sushi, however; I will go back again!

I came for lunch and had a little better experience than my first. Overall the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is comfortable. Went with the protein sushi lunch special and it had many different options. All of the fish was pretty good quality, but the rolls could have been better. The California had less avocado and the rice was kind of lopsided which not did not taste all that amazing. Miso soup was pretty standard and the salad and dressing tasted good. They also left off the avocado from my California hand roll. Now I know I really sound like a snob here, but when you have had the different experiences like I have you come to expect the quality and way it is prepared to be the best every time you eat it. It’s not bad, but not as good as it could be. There is a magic to the way the sticky rice is made and how it is then rolled and when you have had the best you will know what I mean. This place is not bad, but not five stars…

I love this place! I’ve been several times and never had anything I didn’t like. The fish is fresh and good quality. The rice in the sushi rolls is extremely good. I’ve never noticed that at other restaurants. The staff has always been extremely kind.

Food okay. $$$/4 sort of expensive for what it is. Service was good, friendly and fast Typical small little Japanese restaurant Décor. Contemporary mixed with Japanese pictures and accents. Had various rolls — salmon skin, volcano, shrimps tempura roll, dancing eel roll. Had the fried rice with shrimp. It was all good. The volcano roll came lit up. Kind of gimmicky and COOL. The kids like the special-effects. The server was very friendly and helpful. Food came fast. Would recommend but we would probably not be going back because of the cost.

I really enjoy going here for sushi. The restaurant is pleasant and the service prompt. No matter how long it is between my visits, they still happen to remember me. Sushi in Suwanee is not the best, but this restaurant is consistant and quite fresh. I do tend to order the salad, soup, and cooked sushi here and they are all good. The competitors down the street are more expensive and did not have as good of service so I go here instead. This week I ordered the shrimp tempura roll. It had fresh sticky rice and the shrimp was tender. There is no fancy American sauce on it but you can ask for a side of sauce if you need a twist of flavor. Everyone else in my party ordered the salmon and smoked salmon rolls which were also enjoyed. Unfortunately, the soba noodles were bland and not great. Dessert is only green tea and red bean ice cream, but if you like it then this is the place for you.

Sorry folks… maybe in Suwanne, GA this might be 5 stars… or 4 stars… but from an Asian from NY /LA it is strip mall sushi at it’s best. The help try their best. but considering most of their cliente is suburbanites who probably don’t know any better it works for the establisment.

Came here post Suwanee Wine Fest. Mmmmm, mmmmm soooo good! Ordered 4 rolls, the ginger salad, and an eel hand roll topped with masago. Every roll we tried was divine. They also gave us mussels(3 pieces) on the house. I have to admit, the sushi here is both filling and a good deal price wise. After ordering all the food, our bill came out to $ 45 dollars. Not too shabby. I’ll venture to this establishment again.

Sushi Kinyobee use to be located off Pleasanthill Road(Exit 10485N) for the longest! I would always go with my cousins when I’m in the area for sushi. When I heard the store was closed permanently at this location, I was disappointed until I found out they actually relocated. I finallty had the chance to make a long drive up to the new location and had an awesome experience. The food here is delicious. Fresh sushi for great prices and great quality. Service is exceptional. I’ll definitely dine here whenever I’m up in the area. I wish they had kept their old location.

Best kept secret in the area. Great prices. People are very nice. Best sushi quality we’ve found in the area. Be warned though, Unilocal’s map shows it farther north than it really is. It’s south of Tench Rd on Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

I think they have been open for less than a week at the time of this review. I will update it when I go back. For a restaurant that has just opened and I mean you can still smell the paint. Sushi Kinyobee is good. They are currently going through their start up pains but the food was what I expected. A four star review is a bit generous but they just opened and I feel they are doing a decent job. I’m looking forward to going back.
