Menu prices are not honored, and explanations are not clearly offered. Service is slow and unreliable. I’m not going back.

Consistently disappointing. From the dirty carpets and tables to the stale peanut sauce and bland noodle salad, this Phö house just disappoints regularly. We’ve been coming for more than a year but today will be the last time. If you eat here stick to the Phö noodle soup or the Korean beef plates. Everything else just underwhelms. Even the fountain sodas are flat. The service is only ever«okay», never particularly friendly or even English fluent, and trying to communicate dissatisfaction with menu items is a challenge. The best thing you can say about this place is the convenient location next to the mall area. For great Phö and Vietnamese, go elsewhere. Phö Tái in Fife is a favorite.

I’m going to keep this simple, I like this phở restaurant better than most phở places I’ve been to. I order the same food all the time.

Their phở is okay, I came here twice with my dad. Ordered the combination phở the first time and this time ordered the seafood phở. It seems really busy every time we have gone but personally the phở is just okay. There’s a lot of things on the menu, from American to Korean to Vietnamese… which is great but also overwhelming.

There’s ALOT of things I do and don’t like about this place. I don’t really believe a restraint has to be fancy to be good so I often eat at some questionable places . My first time eating here the lady was rushing us and pretty pushy, she also snorted her snot right in front of us which was not all that helpful in the appeal factor. This plan isn’t set up very nicely and there deffinitley some uncleanly things about it. For example I don’t like the fact that the silver wear stock is out in the open on a serve yourself basis. There’s some dead bugs in windows but that’s not horrid, I mean it’s much better than dead rat, your in a food place not a hospital. Anyways so after our order arrived we ate a very nice meal, not amazing but good, worth eating at again. There best option on the menu is their Phở and if you are a phở lover I wouldn’t hesitate to try their Phở. I do enjoy their Phở style salads but have not tried much else on their menu . Over all is say 3⁄5 1. Their Phở is very good 2. Service is good but 3. some servers are rather pushy and not all that kind. 4. Not very clean

Open till midnight on the weekend! Love it. Also this is my second go to phở place in Tacoma. Always fast and professional and it is always packed which is a good sign!

I was surprised by how good the phở was at this little strip mall spot– but I was pleased! The service was decent– but it was a bit TOO busy for me to really sit back and relax. Definitely worth a try though!

You’re so Phö away… Warning: don’t arrive hunger crazed, the menu will blow your mind. So many delicious offerings from the South China Sea through Korea. Phö with a side of kimchee, all prepared with great care. The usual Phö and egg rolls takes top place. Being so near the Mall and other shopping, sometimes the hunger beast needs quelled. This place hits the spot. Reliable. What really stands out is the portions. The large bowl is LARGE, share it. Sane people order the regular. It is also a good place for a bubble tea fix. I hope to update this review soon after trying more of their offerings, everything points to this place being spot on.

Customer service sucks so don’t expect anything there, but the phở is decent and close by to my work, which is why our office frequents here. I’ve never stayed and eaten in the restaurant(which looks very run down and not terribly clean) but have ordered to-go a handful of times here and it’s decent enough phở to satisfy your craving when you have it. I’d love to drive down the street to Phở Thai, but with the traffic on 38th it really is just much more convenient for me to order from Phở 38th. If you’re really craving phở it’ll do the job, but I think there are better(and friendlier!) places.

Decent phở. I order here more out of convenience. I just wish the level of customer service was increased as well as the cleanliness. I only order to go because the dining room grosses me out… Scares me wondering what the kitchen looks like…

Great place. Been there 3 – 4 times this year for the Phở and it is always consistently good. Always busy at lunch which is a good sign.

I had the medium bowl of the brisket, rare beef and tendon. The broth was decent. Felt like a chain restaurant. Too much on their menu. They had Korean dishes as well. Service was good. The man that help us was sure Johnny on the spot. It’s open late so if your craving Phở and no where else to go, this is decent.

Decent/Mediocre phở. That fact that it’s open late on weekends is the best part. Broth is too oily and the meat is typically low quality. But not bad in a moment of phở craving.

Husband and I love this place, we are regulars and come in all the time the staff don’t even give us menus because they already know what we want hahah, best phở I’ve tasted and I’ve been to ALOT of places that have been disappointing. Broth is always on point and is served super speedy for us. Love the icecream milkshakes and the meatball phở.

–Phở was delicious –Bubble Tea is Amazing –Seating doesn’t look the cleanest –Service is O.K.(it takes a while to get our food) –Gyoza is O.K. –Rice is Good –Noodles are Exceptional, but wouldn’t go back for more specifically Over All it’s a good place, but not the best if your not looking for something other than Phở or Bubble Tea…

I used to eat here at least two times a week when I was in college and I went back for the first time in a couple of months last night. They lost one star because the service is always awkward… It is very quick but they don’t say much or look at you and they can be forgetful. I ordered a spring roll, a spicy pork sandwich and a coffee bubble tea last night and they didn’t bring my spring roll until we were about ready to leave. They lost another star for décor /the food is good but not great. However, I love all the options. From bubble tea to Thai tea to French fries to Korean rice bowls to phở. It is all pretty cheap too! Definitely a good spot to come to get some quick Asian food!

Phở 38, broth is good, but outside of that, it is not that great. My wife and I came to taste their phở. I had a large phở with rare beef and brisket. They hit on the broth, it kind of tasted like Phở Bac, but outside of that the meat was chewy and tough and the noodles were overcooked. Their spring and egg rolls were decent. Fish sauce was good. Restroom was messy. Their staff is definitely ready to get your order going. And did I say they have way too much on their menu? They have Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and American. With your choice of shrimp, chicken, pork, beef, their banh mi is definitely catered to the American palate. My wife liked their phở, but I won’t be back.

Walked in, was seated. Ordered spicy beef w/gyoza. Very tasty. Shrimp fried rice had no flavor however… But salt & hot sauce made it ok. Waitress was totally rude. Seemed annoyed, over worked and impatient. Wanted to rush our order off their 5 page menu. However… the perk to the menu was the diversity. Had the choice of … Chinese, Korean, vietnamese! So it had a huge selection. Price was a little spendy for the décor, food & service. I dont think we will be returning here.

I don’t even know where to begin with this place. But I guess we can start with the phở. It is pretty average. Definitely not bad since we’ve had worse. I think that’s about it for this restaurant. The times I didn’t ordered phở, I ordered the rice dishes with the grilled meat. Those times made me regret getting them within the first few bites. Today was filled with regret again. I didn’t even bother to finish a 1⁄3 of it because most of it tasted old or gross, with the exception of the meat(which was okay). The egg was so oily. The coleslaw they put in the box was a soppy mess. The rice was extremely dry. For $ 8 and to not be able to eat it, is disappointing and a waste of money on the many occasions I chose rice. The interior was not desirable. A good amount of tables were filled with dirty dishes from previous patrons. The smell of stinky, old food hits you right when you get in the door. Everything just looked dingy and old and left me with the impression of an equivalent image of the kitchen(which one would rather not imagine). The staff is cold and customer service is non existent. Overall, it’s an overpriced restaurant, considering the poor to mediocre food you receive. Save your tummy and drive a few lights down on 38th to Lincoln district and enjoy a better meal at one of the many Vietnamese restaurants on the strip.
