The best Quinoa salad! Absolutely delicious. I met my sister for lunch and we lucked out on 2 of the remaining open seats. This place was packed. I know why!

Best breakfast and bloodies in town! Amazing staff too! I just wish they opened a little earlier but it’s definitely worth the wait.

We love this bar! The food is always amazing! Very popular, very busy, and very well deserving of the attention this place gets.

My favorite place in Tacoma, solid b on the beer list the food has always been an A and service depends on the day. Thursday’s are a c cause of taco day but their brunch can’t be beat. Also when you play Britney Spears during brunch I love you a lot more. Ps true secret here during the weekend put your phone away and talk to anyone at the bar you will not be disappointed unless your trump and rubios love child

This place was extremely rude. I had a meeting initially. Told the servers that an we got yelled at at the end for having the meeting. By the owner. I was told to sit in the back! Mind you no one else was told that.

First a little background. Our first visit to TOT was last week after reading the reviews on Unilocal and we loved the place. We decided it was our new favorite lunch spot and was willing to drive the 35 minutes from Puyallup just for lunch. Arrived yesterday shortly after 11:00 for lunch and there were four people in the whole bar. We pick a small table and so we can sit next to each other on the bench seat(vs the stools), we turn the small table sideways. On our previous visit we saw another couple do the same thing and there was no problem. Just as we sit down the bartender/waitress walks up with our menus and has a very visible look of irritation and asks if we have a group of four. I say no and ask if it is ok and she responds with yes but is acting really put out and irritated. She then asks what what we want to drink and the next 60 seconds is a painful exercise of us asking what they have on tap(no list anywhere to look at) and she having no idea. To answer the couple questions I have(do you have a blonde, what type of pale is it), she has to walk each time back around the bar to look only to return with a short answer and still acting irritated we are there. We decide on two beers just to be done with it and wait for our food. In the mean time a small group comes in and our bartender/waitress appears to recognize one of the females and gives her a hug and they exchange words. The group takes a table on the back half of the bar and for the next 30 minutes, she spends much of her time planted with them and not once asks us how the food is or does my empty glass need to be refilled. By that time we were ready to eat and run and when a second bartender/waitress asked me if I need a refill I declined. After we were finished eating our bartender/waitress returned with our bill and for the first time attempted with a cordial comment and asked me if I liked the White IPA. It was so painfully and obviously fake and when she walked away I told my wife that was her attempt at the tip. Nice try… To the owners of TOT: You can have the best food but when you have rude staff people won’t return. At least this couple won’t.

Nice faux dive bar in an excellent location convenient for waiting out horrendous traffic on I5. As with most hipster themed bars, has at least 35% of the taps devoted to mediocre local IPAs plus the mandatory PBR. All around beer selection is outstanding. Drinks not that stiff which hints to a professional accounting department being behind the establishment. What sets Top of Tacoma apart from most other formulaic gentrified dive bars is the food. Tremendous quality that befits much more Cush and expensive environs. A real treat. Almost makes Top of Tacoma a destination location versus hideaway from a murderours commute. NB — it’s commonly very busy so expect to wait quite some time for a seat and to have patrons and servers hassle you for your seat when close to finished eating /drinking. Annoying. But I’ll be back.

OMG, I am in severe starvation of a Kebab. So I went there and had a Kebab. I was so glad, this is the best Kebab I had since I have left Germany and the closest thing to food which tastes very close to what one would eat and I was so happy. I would pay any day ten bucks to get such a great Kebab in a flat bread with feta cheese and Zaziki, I am their fan !

Great little bar to hang out in… Typically not my kind of bar, but came in with some friends and loved it. Good selection of beer on tap, and good selection of booze Pleasantly surprised at the grilled shrimp tacos, which were amazing Absolutely recommend and will add it to the list of bars I’ll frequent

To add a little more to my review. Since our first trip I think we have been back about 4 or 5 times. I have tried to get something different each time and I will say that I have yet to be disappointed. This last time I got the BBQ nachos and my god was it amazing! Plus this place introduced me to the secret sauce(or armadillo sauce). Which is the first sauce to truly replace franks for me. The place is usually pretty full which is a bummer when trying to sit down, but even though its typically packed the wait staff is friendly and relatively fast. I am glad I found this place and will continue to patron it for as long as I live here.

Stopped in for some half-priced tacos on a Thursday afternoon and split a half order of their nachos. Note, their tacos must be ordered in pairs, so we each had one of the pork belly tacos. I really enjoyed these, but I expected them to be served more like traditional street tacos(smaller, doubled up tortillas). I think a doubled-up tortilla would improve these tacos. For two people, the half order of nachos is MORE than enough. And we both really liked the crema, salsa, and guacamole with the nachos. This place was crowded, even on a Thursday afternoon, and we could see why!

Whether you’re coming in for weekend brunch or grabbing some late night eats, this is THE place to come. We came in this morning for brunch and found ourselves waiting for the doors to open. A line quickly formed behind us and we realized being early was a good thing… The second party seated and served promptly. The servers were extremely attentive and fast at bringing drinks. $ 3 mimosas and Bloody Mary’s during brunch. Don’t let the cost fool you. They are some BOOZY drinks! In addition to their regular menu their brunch menu is awesome… Lots of great choices for the carnivores and herbivores. We settled on the Pork Belly Hash and Chorizo Benedict. Now, I don’t know if they use cast iron skillets in their kitchen, but the food tasted just like that which in made in those magical cookers. The pork belly and potatoes were perfectly crispy… The eggs, fried and poached were perfect… It was all just pretty much the perfect brunch. We were really impressed with the staff… They are all super friendly and accommodating. It’s also awesome to see the owner behind the bar and checking on tables. And there’s kombucha on tap! What else does a gal need?!? Will be back again… And again… And again!

Easily one of my favorite places to go to in Tacoma. They always have a special going on depending on the time or day of the week, which is quite nice for variance on your bill. My personal favorite days are the weekends when they serve brunch.(The pork belly hash will have you craving it during the weekdays.) They also have $ 3 mimosas and bloody Mary’s and all hours of the weekend. Though these are small glasses, they are extremely tasty and have the perfect amount of booze. Thursday’s are my second favorite as they have 50% off tacos(try the pork belly and beef ones) and $ 3 house margaritas. Knock back a few of these and you’ll definitely feel it! Service is pretty on point. It states to order at the bar so do that for the fastest service but people will come by to check on you pretty often. I’ve never had an issue finding a place to sit either as the place has seating quite far back. Also connect to the wifi if you don’t have service! Overall a great place for drinks and snacks in Tacoma.

I loved the atmosphere. All walks of life. Jeans, suits and casual attire. Their menu selection good. I went for their pork bell tacos. Very fresh and delicious. For an early lunch with not too many people, service was a little slow. The waitress was friendly. Overall, great experience and well worth going back again.

Hands down THEBESTFOOD in Tacoma. Since learning of Top, after living by it for 2 years and not even knowing it, I am usually here at least once a week. It’s the place I always bring out of town guests and suggest to friends. The food is unreal. Everything is so fresh, and local ingredients as well. If you are vegetarian/vegan you won’t have any issues finding something to eat here. I suggest any of the tacos and quesadillas!!! And flatbreads… and salads… and sandwiches. You get it? Everything I’ve had is great. The drinks are STRONG. That is all I have to say. The bartenders are wonderful as well! Please don’t let the area scare you off from trying Top! I promise you will love it!

Came here based on reviews. Somewhat of a divey joint. Lots of beers on tap and popular with the local scene. Was packed inside and loud. If you are in the mood for that atmosphere its perfect to watch a game or have a good time with the crew. As we were just passing through, opted to snag a seat outside and got our order in. Make sure to check the specials or you might miss a gem. Ordered the Ahi tuna sandwich and pulled chicken BBQ tacos. The Ahi sandwich was insanely good, tantalizing, etc. I would eat one everyday. Seared just right with the right touch of wasabi and soy. It was slightly juicy, soft, and crisp. Get all over it! The tacos were good and plenty of chicken. Pulled chicken melted in your mouth. I will definitely be back to try more. Highly recommend!

The staff, the food and the drinks were all amazing! Huge portion sizes and decent prices. I think I would have even payed more for my meal because it was just that good! They have music playing but I could barely hear it; there were a lot of people there and it was hard to find a seat. I could have sworn I saw people playing games but as I walked by, it may have been something they brought from home. Lol. The female bathroom looked a little odd, about a quarter of the door is missing at the bottom like a bathroom stall and I couldn’t help but think maybe they did that so people could crawl through in case someone got too drunk? Lol. Who knows. The only reason why I rated this place a 4 instead of a 5 was because the cell reception was non existent here. They had wifi but it was locked. We arrived before I could tell a friend where we were and my text messages just wouldn’t go through. Eventually, a couple sat next to us with a hot spot and I was able to send an iMessage to our friend but she didn’t arrive until we had walked out of the door. When we turned back around, our seats were gone. Boo, us. Lol. Other than that, this bar was great. If you are a mac and cheese lover, like myself… You’ll definitely want to give this place a try!
