Bacon Boss

The Mafioso Burger is Top notch. The bread was toasted perfectly, the burger was juicy and seasoned well topped with BACON and the cheese (oh my!!). The fries were a huge hit even with our pickiest eater, seasoned and served with a delicious sauce.

Amazing food, great service!!! Fries are fresh cut with an amazing side of yummy sauce. You have to try the Mafioso burger.

Best burger I have ever had. Flew all the way from Vancouver BC. Tried the Mafioso it is to die for. You should try it.

Huge MISS! We were so excited to see this truck come to our apartment complex tonight. We love bacon! However the food was not really even what I would call good. Bacon is bacon so it was good but the mac and cheese had limp/​soft/​mush noodles with what tasted like generic boxed cheese from a powder mix. Def not even Kraft mix I like that stuff. My hubby also had the bacon wrapped hot dog. It was OK at best. Not horrible just blah. I shared his tator tots topped with mac/​cheese topped with bacon. The tots were ok just tots. The bacon was just tiny crumbles and again see above for the nasty mac/​cheese desc. I also ordered the bacon chocolate chip cookies. I expected bacon bits mixed in chocolate chip cookies at least that had dough prepared by them. What it turned out to be was what is obviously a refrigerated cookie dough with a little bacon bits plopped on top then baked. At $ 3 for two small cookies they could have spung for at least some Nestle cookie dough. It was kind of generic tasting as well.
We had such high hopes for this truck however the food was something you could make a quick run to dollar general to prepare. Not gross, the truck was really nice with the wrap and seemed clean. Food just stunk; (

Phenomenal. While some dishes can get a little greasy, the unique menu, abundance of flavor, fresh ingredients, and good pricing way make up for it. Had the bacon mac n cheese, BLT, and a patty melt. All were great and looking forward to finding it again and digging in.

High prices for very small portions. The grilled cheese had bacon bits, One slice of American cheese, and all you tasted was that mayo concoction they put in it. $ 9.00 for a small sandwich (that had 1 slice of cheese) and a small handful of fries. Total rip-​off!
I’ll gladly pay for quality, I’ll never complain about Burger Monger or Five Guys. But, $ 9.00 for a mayo sandwich is a rip-​off.
Asked for one thing, they recommend getting the combo, cause they said it was the same thing. It wasn’t.

When my husband usually brings home dinner I’m skeptical, tonight he nailed it! My burger was infused with so much favor, and the fries were so fresh. Thank you for gracing the grove parking lot on Thursdays and Saturdays, we will be back.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a bacon addict. I was more than thrilled when I walked into the Tampa Bay Bloody Mary Festival held at Curtis Hixon Park and saw the Bacon Boss Food Truck!
I had the Gambino, which was a Grilled Cheese Sandwich stuffed with bacon. I would have liked a little bit more bacon, but then again, I always say that. It was very good and even better with my Bloody Marys.
I also had the opportunity to try the Elliot, which were the cheese fries and bacon. Once again, very good. They were fresh so the fries were not soggy.
This is a fairly new food truck in the Tampa Bay Area. They are based mainly out of Wesley Chapel. I had a chance to briefly talk to Christy, the owner and she was very friendly!
I am looking forward to trying more of the Bacon Boss’ food selections and maybe even a dessert in the near future!
