Went for an office holiday party so it wasn’t really a full experience. The service we had was fine, the wings and pizza apps were very tasty. If you’re in the area and need a beer and bar food, I can recommend it.

Great location and great service! This place has multiple TV’s and a great bar selection also. They are pet friendly and will even bring water and treats out to your dog. The service is quick and accurate and the prices are reasonable as well. I really don’t have one negative thing to say about this place. If you want a chill bar to watch the game and have some beers this is your place. The food is actually really good as well.

Went there at 2:30 pm and it was great. I started with pickle back shots. The ordered mozzarella sticks and wings. Which were good, not great but good. The bartender was awesome!

Been coming here for years with my buddies, awesome local hangout. Bunch of TV’s and good drink prices And for whatever reason — the best BLT with extra crispy fries. I get it every time

Maloney’s is one of my favorite local places to eat, drink, and watch sports. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Try the burgers, especially on Wednesdays. Chicken sandwiches(Monday special) are very good as well. They have a late night menu after 10pm which is very popular with the locals– plenty of choices. The staff is friendly, as well are the patrons. They have outdoor seating as well.

This is a great place to watch football games. There are a ton of monitors, including a couple giant sized monitors, one right above the bar and one on a side wall. One of my favorite things about this place is that there are two additional monitors on both sides of the giant monitor at the bar. If you grab a seat at the bar, or sit at one of the many high tops in front of the bar, you can watch your game and keep an eye on 4 other games too. I like their wings but I have not had much else here. Their beer selection is not great either. They do sell their own brew which is kind of cool. Aside from the last time I went, I have had pretty lax service. Also, aside from one bartender who seems on her game, the rest seem way less than thrilled to be there. I have had to practically scream to get their attention and there is practically no checking back in with you once a drink/food has been dropped off… so, if you need something else, don’t wait for them, just holler! The manager on Game Day is super cool about making sure you get your game on a specific monitor. I don’t think management has noticed the service issue. Parking can be a pain here but if you park at the Grand Central lot for less than two hours, it’s free.

Two stars is mainly for the service, or I should say, lack of service. I went to Maloney’s with a group of about 10 people. We ordered food and beers and watched a game on TV while enjoying each others company. I thought the menu was really good for a bar — varied and offering something for most people including a veg burger. The selection of beers on tap was nice and the restaurant seemed clean. My concern was with the service. No one came over to take away the empty and partially empty warm beer glasses. As a result, one partially filled glass, which had been sitting there a long while, got knocked over. After that, I took some partially-filled warm beers to the bar, which did not prompt any action on the part of the employees to get the rest off the tables. Also, no one came by to ask if we wanted anything more(after a couple of hours of watching the game) and ask if we were ready for the checks. While I understand that the server isn’t watching the game, when people start going to the bar to pay up and get their credit cards back(from running a tab), it would be nice for the server to come over and ask the others if they are ready for their bills, too. If the service is stepped up to a higher level, I would give this bar another star.

Cute bar area and the bartenders were nice enough. Fried pickles were good but could use less salt. Draft beer was good and they had plenty of tv screens for the games.(Go Cowboys) good place for a Sunday game.

Nice atmosphere, good location, decent tap selection, price is right, but quality is lacking. Strode over from a meeting downtown for lunch(thank you Unilocal + Google maps). Ordered what is apparently the standing lunch special of fish and chips. It’s obvious the fish is a pre-frozen fillet and comes out of a GFS bag along with the fries. Certain they are making a nice profit on this meal. I did notice that no one else at the bar ordered the special. Ordered a black and tan and found it heavy on the Harp and … I dunno … something just wasn’t tasting right with this pint. Not likely to return, but if I do I will try something else from the menu.

Two stars– yep two stars. I went to lunch with a colleague today who suggested we meet at Maloney’s. I didn’t know what to expect, but I didn’t expect the food to be as sub par as it was. We started with the trio appetizer listed as Salsa, queso and guacamole. The salsa tasted canned, the queso was basically that yellow-plastic-nasty nacho cheese crap, and the guac didn’t look fresh. I am not a guac fan so I didn’t eat it. The salsa was well, canned tasting salsa and the queso– well, it was as described. I am accustomed to queso being a white creamy cheese dip… not this crap. UGH… disgusting. I ordered the Cobb Salad, which was a bit redeeming. It was a salad with onion, bacon crumbles, egg, blue cheese and a few tomatoes. Nothing extraordinary at all, just a decent salad. The saving grace was the service. Our server, though I did not catch her name, was lovely, attentive and caring. That said, the food was in my opinion, worse than most bar food I have had. The appetizer was superbly horrible. Not certain I would go out of my way to visit this establishment again.

Technically, 3.5. I have been here 4 times now. Service is decent, this place has some solid Irish pup food. Loved the stout chicken and mashed, appetizers are way above average and the beers are solid as can be. One thing to mention though is the heat from the putter outside bar comes in and is brutal on the inside part of the bar. My buddy Goldberg almost had a heart attack lol. Anyway, a recommendation for sure~ potato nachos. Yum!

Every time I’ve eaten at Maloney’s they have met my expectations. It’s a great place to watch a game and drink a beer. Plus you can eat some delicious bar-type food. I’ve had a great hamburger from Maloney’s and their fish and chips is second to none with HUGE portions. One of my favorite things to get is the fried portobello mushroom appetizer. So good, and a nice, hearty appetizer to split amongst vegetarian and meat-lovers alike!

What a nice surprise! I went there for lunch with a co-worker and found a robust menu with plenty of options for a Pescatarian. Several fish options and a veggie burger too! I ordered the Fish & Chips, small portion(1 piece) for $ 9.95. The fish was crispy and tasty. The one piece was rather large(for me) and I wound up taking half of it home. It came with steak fries that were done just right. Tartar sauce and malt vinegar packets rounded everything out. My co-worker ordered a burger and fries. She said the burger was delicious. We sat outside which was very nice, even this time of year, but were blasted by the train operator who laid on the horn the whole time he was passing in front of the restaurant. Not Maloney’s fault, but be prepared. I’ll be coming back to try out their happy hour and extensive draft beer menu.

Love the party atmosphere, food is good, typical bar food plus some better options. I was just happy they offered more than just fried food. They have great specials and always seem to have celebrations that offer free food or drinks. We like to hit up Pour House and Maloneys usually in one night, nice to have another option in that area. We will definitely continue going there!

Visited Maloney’s last week with my buddies while on vacation and had a great time. This review is only for drinks, but nonetheless the service was impeccable and the locals we met were awesome as well. They have a really good selection of everything alcohol related. The two young ladies working the bar were provided great service and were a hoot. They were well qualified at making drinks and enhanced our experience by being so personable. I would definitely recommend coming here for a drink or making a day/night of it.

This is a great Irish Pub. It’s a great neighborhood hangout spot. The bar prices are great for the Channelside area. They always have drink specials. The bartenders are great and know what they are doing. The food is pretty good as well. It’s great bar food. Please keep in mind, this is a bar with food not a restaurant with alcohol. They do open for lunch The kitchen closes early if there are no customers The location is pretty cool. It’s your typical Irish pub. It is great place to watch sports. Service is great but it can get crazy when it gets packed. It is mostly locals. The crowd is usually older.

I came here at 11 pm or so for dinner after a Tampa Lightning game because Hattrick’s was no longer serving food. I called this place beforehand and asked if they were serving their whole menu, and they assured me that yes, the kitchen was open and they were serving food. However, when I got here, they said that they only had food from a limited menu, and this was pretty ridiculous because I called them prior and asked them if they were serving their whole menu, and they said yes. I ordered the potato chip nachos because they weren’t serving what I wanted off of their full menu. These consisted of «Fresh Irish potato chips topped with tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, bacon, mixed cheeses & scallions. Salsa & sour cream on the side.» I was so unimpressed by this food. This is definitely not an authentic Irish pub by any means. I didn’t really enjoy my food, but I ate it because I was really hungry and there was nothing else on their limited menu that looked appealing to me. Also, all of the employees were more concerned with talking to each other as opposed to serving food and taking care of the customers. I constantly heard them cracking jokes to each other and ignoring customers trying to flag them down. Totally regret coming here. I only had a limited time in Tampa, and this place was the worst restaurant I went to during my time there.

A favorite of my friend group, it’s your typical Irish bar without the«dive». Inside is clean, smoke free, and quite spacious. They also offer a decent sized patio for outdoor seating. Located in Channelside, this is a great stop for the locals that live in the high rises. The clientele ranges from young professionals to retirees. The car bombs are reasonably priced and they usually have a live band on the weekends. More often than not, the band is fantastic! I am not a fan of the cheese fries(unless you are very drunk, then I highly recommend them). The flat breads are good, potato skins are classic and the service is great(and friendly). Most importantly, the bathrooms are almost always spotless!!!

Located in Downtown Tampa’s Channelside District in Kennedy Grand Central next to Powerhouse Fitness off Meridian and Kennedy, Maloney’s Local Irish Pub is one of the best bars in the Tampa downtown area and one of the best Irish bars in Tampa Bay. When I lived Downtown, I used to be a regular here. I highly recommend the Salmon, Bangers & Mash, Sheppard’s Pie, Flatbread Pizza, and house specialty Maloney’s Red Ale! Ambiance is a typical sports bar with high top tables, lots of tvs, 2 dart boards and a little bit of Irish flair. Crowd gets busy on Thurs Fri Sat but it varies. There is 2 hour free parking available in Kennedy Grand Central’s garage. After that it’s $ 1 per hour with a Max of $ 10 charge. Service is nice and cordial and food comes out pretty quickly usually. Maloney’s Local Irish Pub has a large craft beer selection including their house brewed Maloney’s Irish Red Ale which is always only $ 3 and quite rich and nice in flavor. There is usually live music on the weekends, plenty of TVs to watch college and pro football, and there’s even 2 dart boards. Specials: $ 3 wells, $ 4 calls, $ 2 Bud Lite & Michelob Ultra drafts from 3pm till 7pm Monday — Friday, Monday — Chicken Sandwich 6.00, Tuesday — Sheppard’s Pie 6.00, Wednesday — Burger Night 6.00, Thursday — Fish & Chips 6.00, Sunday — Chicken Finger Basket. For those in the WestChase area, Maloney’s Local Irish Pub has a sister location there by the same name!
