Better than Burger 21 for sure. We thought the prices were reasonable and the burgers were good.

Met up a few friends here on a Saturday night thinking this place would be hopping considering the surrounding area. We arrived at 1130 and the place was pretty dead. Now it could’ve been on account it was a holiday weekend but the other clubs and restaurants that are nearby were hopping. I ordered the«Stacked Burger» which consisted of 2 patties on a roll with a side of fries nothing spectacular at all pretty much a run of the mill burger, yes I have had worse but I have also had much better, Our server was friendly and attentive. So far my interpretation is pretty much standard sports bar fare. To be fair I will return here when its busier and try something else that looks more appealing on the menu other than the eye candy.

The burgers are just OK. Our fries were cold and greasy, even the sweet potatoes fries were greasy. All burgers come with a double burger patty — why can’t I just have one big patty? Beer is served in plastic cups and not many beer selections besides corporate beers(Bud Lite, Miller, etc.). Service was average. For a great burger, visit Square 1 burgers.

I want to thank Stacked Bar and Grill for hosting the Unleashed Tampa Bay Yappy Hour last night. My clients and their dogs had a great time, the food was great they had some awesome drink specials for us and was a great time for everyone. Thanks to Paris and his staff for making our Yappy Hour a success! We look forward to the next one. Ann Marie Covello Owner Unleashed Tampa Bay «Unleashing Our Clients One Pet At A Time»

For some reason I decided to come here again. Every time I’ve been here, the service has been horrendous. This time there was only one other table here. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to bring us menus and another 15 to return to take our orders. While we were waiting, she was behind the bar talking with coworkers the entire time. Needless to say, the service gets worse every time I come and I will not return here. Four times of well below standard service is four times too many to go to an establishment. Not to mention that they messed up our order.

Not the best burger by a long shot. I love me a good burger in a dinder, with a toasted bun, potatoes and a coffee. Thats ‘Merican eating. This was an oily burger that wasn’t all the good. It was bland, and not at all like a cut of beef should be. It was grey meat type burger. Not that tasty and not the best in town. The zucchini fries are a great idea, but they need a hotter frier, these were oily as well. The parking is a problem as well. That can’t be helped.

So what if you took a burger joint and Hooterized it? Or maybe Winghoused it would be more accurate. We arrived early on a Friday, around 6:00, it was pretty empty but soon filled with a few families and lots of kids. It has several video games so that might be one of their targets. The kids weren’t an issue for us, it was actually nice to see families out together. The food: My wife had the grouper burger, I think we need a DNA on that, it was good, but not sure if it was actually grouper. I had the Texas BBQ burger, not bad, the crispy onions were a nice touch. We also had a shrimp app(the flat butterflied shrimp made me think they came from frozen — but not horrible) with a dipping sauce that was meh. Wings were okay, fried pickles were meh. Service was decent. So final result, comfortable place to take the kids, but not sure that I’ll be returning for the food.

So I read on Unilocal this place had a best burger in tampa sign somewhere outside in the front. Where did it go! I wanted to see it and laugh too! I guess they arent the best. Let me tell you that the burgers has no flavor. They should start with good old fashion salt and pepper first. What do you expect from a chain? Good Food Good Service? Naaaaaaaaaah Let’s skip that and give people cute girls in tight shirts and short shorts. We only sell meat! I promise. Only thing they had going for them is the sweet potato fries. I will avoid this place the next time I am around

Meh! I had lunch here while on vacation in Tampa and must say I was pretty underwhelmed by the food. My boyfriend’s friend brought us here after saying the burgers were amazing. Apparently, they aren’t! And very far from it! I ordered the Regular Stacked Burger, served with cheese, lettuce and red onion. My highlight of the burger was the side of pickles. Unfortunately, the burger was bland! No seasoning at all whatsoever! It was like eating cardboard. The patties were ridiculously thin, by the way. Yes, I know the waitresses are«stacked» but the burger definitely wasn’t! I was really disappointed especially because I can get real stacked burgers back home for about $ 6. At first I thought it might have been my burger but it wasn’t. Our friend who swears by this place had ordered the Hot & Sloppy Joanne. I figured the Soppy Joe would be full of flavor. The Sloppy Joe was bland too! No kick whatsoever! How can you have Sloppy Joe without it having any taste??? Portion size was alright, nothing huge, but who wants to eat crappy food? And not to mention, the service sucked! The waitress took forever to bring out our burgers. How long does it take to make a bland burger?! And she never checked up on us to make sure things were OK and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all! I do not recommend this place unless you want crappy burgers. If you want a real good burger, try Five Guys instead.

Now this is an idea. Take an idea from another well known restaurant and apply it to another genre. That’s what Stacked Burgers did with the Hooter’s business model. Instead of wings and everything else they sell including burgers to which hooter’s has a really good blue cheese burger. You can always tell if a burger place has quality meat, they ask how you would like your burger cooked. That’s because when you have great quality meat you can good as low as medium-rare. I usually go medium. They have some really great burgers and really hot wait staff. They also serve alcohol and are open late on the weekends, so when you’re leaving soho after a drunken night you can get a decent burger on your way home. Overall: A pretty good place to get a burger and watch the game.

Have been here a couple of times and found their burgers to be pretty good. My favorite is the one with the buffalo sauce AND jalapenos. The service however is hit or miss. Think Hooters but with burgers. Guys will find the waitresses easy on the eyes, and hey, who am I to complain about that, but I’d rather have an ugly guy serve me promptly than a pretty girl leave me hanging. Just sayin. If I was looking for pretty ladies I’d be going to the Mons Venus. They tell me there are pretty ladies there, not that I would have any idea or personal experience. Here, I want good food, good service, and good prices. Two ½ outta three ain’t bad. I mean, the service wasn’t THAT bad. I’ll be back. For the burgers. Really.

This restaurant is literally a stones throw away from my apartment, so I had been meaning to try it for a while. Then I got a Groupon for $ 10 for $ 20 worth of food, sweet! Then I read the Unilocal reviews… and found myself less and less excited to try out this place. Every time my husband would ask if I wanted to go I would put it off and suggest someplace else because of the shotty reviews. Then we found ourselves there one Saturday evening after leaving another over-crowded sports bar to watch a play-off game. It was pretty empty, so our table of 7 easily found seating. The server was friendly and quick to greet us and take our drink order. With our pitchers of beer in order($ 7 Yeungling, not bad), we quickly ordered a variety of menu offerings. We started with the fried pickles. While not the best I’ve ever had, they were very tasty and worth ordering. Next we got some wings. We had 12 wings and did 6 «In-Between» and 6 «Cajun Style», while the hot wings were pretty good — pretty spicy but not inedible, the cajun wings were AMAZING! The flavor was so yummy, I wish I had just ordered this for my meal. But alas, we had burgers and fries coming. I had the French Maid Dip burger and the hubs had the 2 Hot 4 U burger. Sadly, I don’t remember what the rest of the table ordered, but my burger was super delightful. The waffle fries were crisped perfectly and seasoned nicely. The hubs enjoyed his burger but said he would probably go with a different pick next time. All in all, we will definitely be back to this spot whenever the burger(or wing) craving hits. Yeah, the décor is a little cheesy and the names of the burgers on the menu is quite ridiculous but the bottom line is they have good prices, great food and friendly service. **Tip — all the burgers automatically come with 2 patties(double stacked). You can ask them for just one patty, which is plenty of food, and save $ 2!

Went to Stacked on a Saturday night during an NFL playoff game. There were no more than 30 people, 10 tables being used. They had 4 people on staff. 1 cook, 1 manager ferrying food from the kitchen and two waitresses. This is an inexcusable amount of workers for what should be expected to be a busy night. Even so, it was not busy enough for us to be ignored for 30 plus minutes. Two people in our party, and my self ordered beers. Two people received them, I did not. After 20 minutes went by, and no one ever coming to take an order from us(even though people around us who had arrived well after us were placing orders). When my beer finally came I told her that I no longer wanted it and we wanted our check. It took another 10 minutes for that to arrive. I would NEVER go anywhere near this place again, and will try to make sure no one else does.

So much to like, a few things to hate… Lets start with the décor and theme: I’m not a sports bar type guy, so the vibe is essentially antithetical to my desires — that said, its comfortable and has a ton of TVs, lots of open floor space and is exactly what it tries to be. A few quibbles: Terrible acoustics — way too loud and echoey. Get some fabrics up in that cavernous ceiling for some sound attenuation. Also: The ‘slogans’ on the wall above the bar are really a bit much, and cheapen the look of the place — clearly put up by someone with little or no actual taste. Now: After all that — why 4 stars? A: A DAMNED good burger. I opted for the Texas Burger: 2 nicely cooked fresh beef patties, juicy without being greasy, cheese, BBQ sauce, pepperjack cheese, fried onion bits & shredded lettuce. I ditched the tomato(gassed mass farmed tomatoes are never a good addition to a meal) Waffle fries on the side — freshly cut and nicely fried. This burger was stacked/assembled with perfection. The bun was simply amazing. Warmly toasted fresh bun — possible the best bun I’ve run across in the last year. Next time, I’d ditch the pepper jack in favor of cheddar, as the pepper overwhelmed a tad the other flavors. The cajun spice on the waffle fries was way too heavy and way too salty. One failure: Manager came over and I commented on the heavy salt/cajun spice on the fries — at that point, if he had been on the ball, he would have offered to replace them. Service was fine, my waitress was helpful without being intrusive. Not sure what its like when its busy, I was there late on Saturday afternoon. Verdict: If the burgers are always this good I’ll be back, and often. I’m guessing I’d really hate the place when its slammed, but this burger is good enough that I’m willing to overlook the fact that I usually hate sports bars. And the bonus? The burger is so big I could easily split it with another person. I only ate half, and took the other half home. If this was a bistro and not a sports bar, I’d be here weekly. As it is, I’ll overlook the sports them to get another one of these damned fine burgers.

Definitely Stacked! So the burgers at this place are amazing! You would never know it by the somewhat shabby, cafeteria look and feel inside, but they have some really great ideas of what will taste good between two pieces of bread. The only disappointment about this place is the sides, they were all pretty bad. The fries were too greasy, as were the fried zuchini strips, the cole slaw didnt have much flavor and the beans tasted out of a can. I think what I appreciate most, is the thoughtfullness of the wait staff. When we told them about the bad sides, they offered free desserts or discounts(we didnt take either). Final thought — Stand up staff, good service, great burgers, bad sides. I will be going back.

I’m going to disagree with the other reviewers. We went to Stacked Burgers last night(we’ll just say that my husband was intrigued by the pretty girls on the restaurant’s website), and our waitress was attentive and fast, but we were underwhelmed by the food. We had the fried shrimp to start, and I thought they were tasty and crispy. The draft beer was cold, sodas were refilled regularly(although I’m not a fan of the Styrofoam cups for soft drinks consumed in the restaurant). However the burgers were just not good. I had the Spank Me burger(yes, a delight to order as a female), and I could not taste the Cajun spices. The bleu cheese was bland. And the buns weren’t toasted. My husband had a normal American cheeseburger, and he said it was the least remarkable burger he’s had in a long time. I had the sweet potato fries, and I thought they were too dessert-like, and I think a spicy sauce would have been a better option than cheap pancake syrup. Portions were huge, but again, who wants to eat a ton of mediocre food? The place was loud, even though there were fewer than 20 people in the place, probably the fault of the cement floors and hard ceilings. Oh, and the drunk people at the bar. I don’t mind drunk people at the bar, but I was surprised that so few people could make so much noise in such a large space.

Good burgers, slow service. Stopped by on my lunch break to grab a stacked burger to go and waited for 20 minutes at the bar. The restaurant was not that busy so I really felt sorry for the lunch crowd that arrived as we were leaving. Besides the slow service our burgers were also undercooked. I ordered my burger medium well and my coworker ordered her’s well done. Instead we received one medium cooked burger and one burger that was almost medium rare. Even though the burgers were undercooked they were still tasty. Loved the sweet potato fries, but wish they were served with honey mustard instead of pancake syrup. Not sure what’s up with the short shorts… gave the restaurant a cheesy«Hooters» feel. I say lose the hot pants and hire real waitresses. If I return I will be calling my order in to prevent the wait.

The burgers are really good. I had a double stacked cheeseburger that was just delicious, served on a nice bun with some really good sweet potato fries. The food is absolutely worth coming back for. So that’s the good… but… The service was pretty terrible. They’ve hired a bunch of attractive females, but I think it’s possible not all of them have worked in a restaurant before. My server poured our group some beers that had an amazing amount of head on them. She also wrote down my order, but my burger still came out with lettuce, tomato, and onion, which I had specifically asked not to have. We also waited for a bunch of things after we asked, and had to wait for things you wouldn’t normally expect. They’re new, but still for sure have some service kinks to work out. Much credit for $ 5 pitchers of beer and $ 2 well drinks on a Wednesday night too. They also have plenty of good tv’s that had multiple games going. You can’t really go wrong with a nice burger joint that serves full booze. But I hope to bump this place a star or two once they get the steps of service down.
