The sushi is fresh fresh fresh and delicious. Service is the best Gourmet sushi at a fair price.

The best sushi, I have tried in several Years. Sushi made with good balance rice and sea food. I recommend the Hawaiian roll.

Good prices for good food. Everything we have had here has been tasty from the sushi to the dumplings to the tempura. Usually we get an assortment of sushi and one of favorites is the one wrapped in cucumber which is so fresh and good! The miso soup and salad are pretty simple but fine. This is a casual spot, great for the kids too.

Awesome! We find it amusing we have found most of the best sushi places on our travels within shopping centers! Great service, happy to please with adding/removing on certain rolls, and extremely fresh and flavorful. Some excellent specialty tools. If we lived closer this would be our go-to for sushi.

Will definitely return here!!! My fiancé and I split the steak and shrimp hibachi and got two sushi rolls, the house roll and the pacific fusion roll. It was amazing!!! Highly recommend! The hibachi came with two soups and a salad for us also, as well as noodles and rice. Such a great deal and the restaurant is super clean. It’s a lot nicer on the inside than you would expect from a strip mall sushi restaurant. Staff is so nice and friendly. This is going to become our sushi spot going forward.

Quite good sushi and service here at Sushi Café. Quite busy for a weeknight, but busy generally means that it’s going to be solid. Rather than wait for a table, I made my way through the crowd and took a spot at the sushi bar. I was the only person who seemed to have this idea. I had a squid salad to start and it was a solid portion on a base of julienned cucumber. Tasty. Then I ordered the«Rocky Mountain Roll»(which is a rainbow roll topped with shredded crab) and a Hawaii Roll. Both were very good and more than full size. About half of each of the rolls went into a box and came with me to go. Great service, reasonable prices. Well done, Sushi Café.

After moving to Tampa my husband and I had a hard time finding a sushi spot to replace our beloved sushi place in out home town. We stumbled into sushi café on a Sunday afternoon and thank god we did! Everything there is so delicious and prices are much cheaper than other sushi cafes. We’ve been on Saturday nights when it is packed and the service is just as quick on a slow afternoon. Would recommend 100% sushi café is the bomb!

I love this place. It’s our go to sushi when in Tampa. So many different choices on the menu. My husband and I only really eat the cooked stuff, which many times makes our choices limited. I like that I can go here and eat different rolls, not just the same old stuff. The hibachi meals are great too!

Dined at Sushi Café today. The menu is very appealing and features items for every sushi-goer(and hibachi, to boot). My order included the Soft Shell Crab appetizer, Monster Roll, Crystal Roll and Spicy Conch and Cucumber roll. The Soft Shell Crab was tempura fried and served with tempura fried vegetables. Sadly it was not very enjoyable, as the crab was largely flavorless compared to soft shell crab I’ve had elsewhere and the batter/flakes it was fried in was overwhelming and bulky. The three sushi rolls I ordered were very delicious. The Monster Roll was enormous and could serve as a filling entrée for an adult. Unfortunately the thing I will remember and take away from this restaurant was the server who waited on me. I don’t know his name, but he was the only male working there at the time. He was absolutely dreadful, and I kid you not, only minutes after I commented on him to my partner, there was an argument at the front of the restaurant. I turned around to see a customer confronting our server and telling him that he is walking out because he felt unwelcome in Sushi Café. He complained that this server did not act friendly, did not smile and spoke as if he was disinterested. So the customer walked out, and the server proceeded to laugh it off while talking very loudly with his coworkers. As for my thoughts on him: I found him to be exceptionally rude, inattentive and interested only in his own voice. You can take this with a grain of salt, but I dare say that this guy actually spoke with disdain towards my table and the others that I observed him speaking with. Absolute snot. I’ve worked as a server for years(also in an Asian cuisine restaurant) and am generally very understanding if things are not going well. Every server has bad days, but this man’s manners were not a reflection of a rough day. He is simply unfit to provide friendly and polite service to his customers. I must compliment the rest of the waiting staff there, as they were all friendly and sweet. I find it bizarre that this man is still employed. The sushi at Sushi Café is good enough to warrant a return trip, and had I been taken care of by virtually any other server there, I feel like I would have had a good experience. Go for the food, don’t order the Soft Shell Crab, and pray that you do not have the misfortune of having that«server» take care of you.

So we recently moved to Tampa, FL and we decided to check out a Sushi place. We read the reviews for this place here and decided to check it out. The place in general was good, but we will reserve the final evaluation when we check it out again later in few months(or few weeks depending on how much my wife crave Sushi, LOL). We tried the Monster Roll and it was good. The only drawback is that they wanted to make this food a fusion style, so they put Cream Cheese in every single roll(almost). While I love Cream Cheese, my wife was like. ehhh. But still the overall taste of the Monster Roll was pretty good. Also, this roll comes out warm, which I thought was good and a change from a regular roll style. We also tried the Spicy Tuna roll and it was a raw Tuna, so I did not have it, while my wife did. TIP: for items marked with a STAR(*), this indicates that the item is raw. We wish we knew that before we ordered since I don’t care for raw food. My wife said it was decent. We also ordered the Seaweed salad based on the recommendation here and it was not bad. It had Cucumber, Seaweed, and was a pit sour, which I thought was good. We ordered one order of green Tea and they gave us a medium size pot, and two cups, which was enough for both of us. I thought that was nice of them since they did not push for another pot(may restaurants do that). Our waiter«Bill» was excellent. Very polite, spoke perfect English and when we asked for more Ginger, he gladly gave us good amount. You cant have Sushi without ginger you know. The prices here are decent. Not cheap, but not too expensive. We paid $ 27 including the tips for 1 monster roll, 1 spicy Tuna roll, one seaweed salad and one tea. Not bad. Next time, we will try few Sushi pieces, instead of a roll, to get a feeling for the different items. We will report when that happen. Peace out.

I have always loved this little sushi place, it’s so close to my house and so convenient. Very small and intimate and that’s actually one of my favorite things about it. The staff is so great and always so accommodating, after being there only a few times, some of them greeted me by my first name which is always comforting and shows that they genuinely really do care about their customers. I’ve never had a bad experience the food is priced very well and the quality and attention to detail is always superior.

Very very happy with our experience! We got the monster roll which was delicious and then two hibachi dinners. The service was attentive and fast and the food very good. My husband said several times that he can’t wait to return. Definitely recommend!

I went here for lunch today. The prices are very reasonable and service was great considering more and more costumers kept coming in. sushi came with the choice of a ginger salad or miso soup. I don’t recommend the ginger salad, it tasted awful. As for sushi, I got Hawaii roll and monster roll. Even though the monster roll had shrimp tempura, it was very light! The rice was seasoned really well too, not too vinegary. People have mentioned the Hawaii roll a few times on here, and it definitely lived to its expectations. It’s huge and very flavorful! The mango added in makes it very refreshing. We also ordered seaweed salad and crab Rangoons. I definitely recommend these for appetizers. The seaweed salad was very crisp and even had cucumbers in it. The portion was huge for 5 dollars too!

Sushi Café always has quality fish if your searching for sashimi or nigiri. I love their lunch specials for 11.99. Sashimi lunch is 10 – 12 pieces of fish with cucumber and radish slaw. The sushi lunch is a California roll, tuna roll, and 4 nigiri pieces. With these two lunch options, you can get miso soup or ginger salad. I’ve had the rolls here in the past as well. I think that they are great rolls for the price. They also have a variety of options for the extreme sushi lover or the beginner. They have 2 – 3 cucumber only rolls as well. It’s always nice to have this option if you’re trying to cut calories. This is one of the best sushi places in Wesley chapel for quality and environment. They also serve hibachi. My only reason for 4 stars is because their sashimi menu isn’t extremely extensive. Also pricing is only for single pieces of sashimi. They look to have good combo prices though.

This place was packed during lunch time. I had the sushi lunch special, including miss soup or salad, a tuna roll, California roll, and 3 sushi pieces. Service was good, sushi was tasty, pricing was on point. Will have to return to try the different sushi rolls.

Work right by there so figured I would give it a try. The place is small but nice and clean. It was busy but we got served relatively quickly. Waitress was very nice. My friend got the stir fry combo, and he said it was delicious. It did look very good and portion was good, not too small or too much. I ordered Miso soup a Rainbow roll. Miso was as expected(hard to screw that up unless they salt it too much). The rainbow roll was also as expected. Didn’t blow me out of the water either. Fish on top was cut relatively thin, which took away from roll. With that said, I will probably go back and will update when I do, as I will try something different.

Great prices for yummy sushi and hibachi! My favorite sushi and the one I get almost every single time is the Osaka, which I like having either with yum yum sauce or spicy mayo. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Today was my 5th visit to sushi café and it’s consistent with its portion size and quality. They do not skimp on the ingredients inside rolls.(Just the right amount of rice) This is my favorite sushi place for basic rolls. I can get that fix for a decent price! I like the salmon roll and I add avocado and crème cheese with spicy mayo. The staff is always very accommodating! When I didn’t see my favorite roll on the menu I asked if they would make it for me and they have done so each visit! One thing to note my first visit I noticed they have paper and pencils to write your order but it seems like no one ever uses them. The service has always been very quick and polite.

Sushi Café is like the Sam’s Club of Tampa Sushi. I say this because the prices are a bit higher than some of the other places around but they make up for that with larger portion sizes. These are the biggest sushi rolls I’ve ever seen. We visited the café on a Friday night. The place was packed. We waited for only a few minutes before the servers found a spot for us. We poured over the menu and weren’t completely in love with the vegetarian/vegan options. A large number of their rolls had cream cheese in them. I don’t know if Sushi Café has stock in a cream cheese company or not but based on the menu it certainly seemed like it. As far as I could tell, Sushi Café didn’t even offer our go to roll, Sweet Potato Tempura. They did offer a sweet potato roll with Salmon on top, so I asked for one of those sans the salmon. Unfortunately removing the fish didn’t bring the price down any so it was the most expensive sweet potato roll I’ve had. We also ordered an avocado roll and some miso soup. Aside from the size, seriously this sweet potato roll was like the Big Mac of sushi rolls, what stuck out to me about the Sushi Café’s version of the Sweet Potato Tempura Roll is that they tempuraed the whole thing. Typically places just batter and fry the sweet potato. While this was cool and all, I felt like it masked the sweet potato flavor. This meant the complimentary sweet, of the sweet potato, and salty, of the soy sauce, flavors that I love were dulled considerably. The avocado roll was fine, nothing really stood out about it(aside from the size). The waiter that we had on our visit was awesome. He chatted us up, even though the place was packed, and answered all the questions we had about the menu. He acted extremely interested in our substitutions and the reasons behind them. He also made sure to check in after the sushi arrived to make sure that everything was right. My overall impression of Sushi Café is that it is sushi for the American diet. Its a place that sacrifices taste in order to increase portion sizes. Eli N.‘s review suggested it was a gateway sushi restaurant, a good place for people who are just learning to like sushi. I think that guy was right on with his assessment.

Great location, great prices, friendly staff, delicious sushi! Finally a place to eat delicious sushi that does not cost over $ 10. Most sushi range from $ 5 to $ 9. And they are really good! Miso soup $ 1.95 — really good. Gyoza $ 4.95(with veggies and meat, really good). We also tried Tampa Bay Roll with tempura red snapper(cooked), cream cheese, avocado and eel sauce — delicious! Another yummy roll was Eel & Cucumber Roll, and one of my favorites is Bagel Roll with smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber. Will definitely come back. Looking forward to try more.

Okay sushi. Very friendly service. The restaurant itself was well decorated and clean. Followed the Unilocal reviews here expecting the best sushi in the area, but was a little disappointed. The price and portions are fair, but the execution was middling. Went there twice this week just to be sure. On my first visit I ordered Miyazaki, Osaka and Green dragon. Then on my 2nd visit Pink lady, Monster roll and Pacific Blue. The issue is that they rely too much on cheap flavoring like spicy mayo and eel sauce which smothered my Monster and Pacific rolls. They also overuse frying and cream cheese. Their sushi dishes seem to lack freshness and balance. I still give them a 4 for having a great atmosphere and great customer service. I think it’s a great place to introduce sushi to someone, but veteran sushi lovers may be more cynical.

Sushi Café has always been a great stop for my frequent sushi fixes! They have a wide variety of sushi/rolls as well as lunch/dinner meals. What sets Sushi Café apart from other sushi stops are the much larger sizes and amount of ingredients packed into each roll. I ordered two rolls and it kept me full the whole day. I ate around 3pm and had nothing else before or afterwards! It fulfilled my appetite because two rolls were literally all I needed for one day. My latest visit I ordered the Diablo and Osaka rolls, both of which were deep-fried awesomeness. Both also has«spicy sauce» but it really wasn’t that spicy so don’t be afraid to try something called«Diablo». The fish tasted great, nice crunchiness in both rolls, and a satisfying amount of ingredients in each. I liked the Diablo better because it had a stronger kick and the Osaka had a little too much cream cheese for me. Their menu can be overwhelming at first because of the number of options, but there are descriptions for each roll so it all depends on how simple or extravagant one desires. They don’t skimp out on anything in their rolls that I’ve noticed in other sushi places. Their fried green tea ice cream is also always a bonus! I would also recommend the Diablo roll and Monster roll.

What a great find after a half day of medical appointments. We originally were headed to an all you can eat Sushi spot to fill the gargantuan eating habits of my teen, but thankfully there was a 30 minute wait and… teens don’t wait. On to Sushi Café. First thing I noticed was the great and appreciative service. Multiple people came by to assure that we had placed our drink orders and did not have any menu questions. When we did place our order, we opted to pick multiple things and share. We started with the Hibachi Chicken which came out piping hot and full of flavor, with both fried rice and lo mein noodles. Next we moved onto the Sweet Potato Roll which was a cross between a philly roll and sweet potato casserole, but it really worked well and was my clear favorite. Next, my predictable teen ordered the Philadelphia Roll, which was very well done. Then he added a Rock n Roll which was fantastic, although I am not sure what is in it. Our server was Fritz and he was terrific, so ask for him if you go. He was helpful, pleasant and funny. Delightful spot we just stumbled upon.
