7 of us went here for Brunch for the first time and we were all really pleased. Its off the beaten path, attached to a Marina right on the water. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Great view of the boat traffic and there was a live music which is always a plus in my book. Food selection was great as well as the prices. We were all happy with the food, portions and service– our server was super friendly. This is a very casual place with good food. They offer beer and wine only and some good happy hour specials. We all said we will be back!

Location is nice once you find it! I went with the fish tacos and the wife went with the grouper sandwich. She enjoyed hers. HUGE piece of grouper. I am a fish taco hound. I love em. These though we’re a tad bland for me. The chips were homemade. Again though… pretty bland. Could have used some seasoning. The fish taco had a pineapple salsa. Could have been a little saucier. They were a little dry. We will be back. Was a so so visit for me but the wife enjoyed it.

I change my poor review of service. Past few weeks have seen new servers doing a great job, much improved, thanks. Joey did exceptional job today. The food has always been good.

I love this place. The Sausage Gravy is so good. I always order extra! I usually get the Breakfast Bowl and it has potatoes, eggs, peppers, onions, and their amazing Gravy. The coffee is also fabulous. Plus, you can eat right on the water.

Ok. Davidson’s Dockside is a hidden gem. It is a local casual seafood spot that is sort of hard to find if you weren’t looking for it, but it is on the water and not far from the main drag in Tarpon Springs. My boyfriend, his parents and I went to this place after trying to eat at Rusty Bellies, another casual seafood spot in Tarpon Springs. After were told it was over an hour wait, we searched for a place like Davidson’s, which we were sure glad to find! You will find items such as crabcake sliders, kingcrab, and other popular seafood items. They also have live music. A one man band playing outside, who was extremely talented and made the experience fun. He took pretty much all of our requests and played such a variety of songs from very different singers. it was rather impressive. We left really full, satisfied and glad to have found this hidden gem.

This is my fourth time here and I love it! Very friendly staff and excellent service. I’ve had Josh as our server twice and he is awesome. The food has been very good each time and sitting outside under the awning right by the water is so relaxing.

Just had a delicious breakfast here today! This small out-of-the-way restaurant in Tarpon Springs, FL serves the best breakfasts. It sits on waterfront in a small marina with indoor and dockside seating. If the weather is good, this is the place to be if you like low key places that make and serve good food at decent prices. There are several boat slips for diners too! The wait staff are super friendly. If we lived closer, this would be a place I would frequent regularly. I had the king crab asparagus eggs Benedict. The crab was real!!! It had a tiny piece of claw shell in it, was stringy and very tasty. No perfectly round fake crab here. Sitting on a perfectly toasted English muffin and laden with poached eggs drizzled with freshly made hollandaise sauce, each bite was delicious. There were a few stalks of asparagus which added the obligatory ‘green’ that I love to have in each meal. It came with cheesy grits which helped mop up the yolk. Really very tasty and a portion big enough to be satisfying without making me feel bloated. Hubby had the Cuban breakfast sandwich, a BLT with egg and cheese on Cuban bread. It was crunchy, tasty and he would order it again. Our son had the berrylicious crepes. Three sweet crepes filled with an overflow of berries, straw, black and raspberries topped with a citrusy glaze that tasted home made. If you like sweet breakfasts, this is a good choice. The view of the water is nice and you can while away the day listening to live music of slow rock cover bands, drink unlimited sweet tea, good selection of beers and mixed drinks. Great secret in Tarpon Springs. Will definitely make the track back!

Went today for THEBUCKET, it’s a bucket of seafood, clams mussels shrimp crab corn potatoes and it’s on special on Thursday! It was my first time but enjoyed it. The ambience wasn’t great, it’s kinda got that dive bar feel too it. It’s well off the beaten path behind a marina building, if you didn’t know it existed you would never find it. I heard about a fried burger I’ll try that next time! Thanks for a great experience, I’ll see you again hopefully soon!

We were out for a morning walk in the sponge docks and nothing was open for breakfast. We had heard about Davidson’s and decided to try it. Great place for breakfast and we’ll definitely be back to try diner. The seafood selection look delicious and the casual atmosphere is just our style. The service was good and they were very pleasant. One plus, is that we had our dog with us and they allow pets on the deck area.

So we stopped by for our second visit tonight for the AYCE Fish N Chips, and was greeted at the door by name by Janice, whom has never waited on us before. This was a pleasant surprise that Janice memorized our names. Tina then showed up with her big smile and welcomed us back. We were seated and our server Lou arrived with an even bigger smile and greeted us with the list of specials for the night. Now in my book, customer service is just as important as the product, and Davidson’s Dockside excels at customer service more than The Columbian restaurant in Ybor City. The Columbians might have big fancy, expensive dining rooms, and the server’s wear tuxedos, but the are stuffy and rude. Let’s now move onto the fish. I asked what the fish was and Lou said«Basa». I’ve had Basa before, and each time I found it to be really mushy, and didn’t taste too good. Living in the Pacific NW spoiled me with the fresh seafood up there, but Lou and Tina both said it was really good, so we gave it a try. I have to say that it was one of the BEST tasting pieces of fish I’ve ever tasted. The cook in the back seems to be on fire when it comes to making food. He’s very consistent, and season’s everything just right. Unlike other AYCE eat fish places, the batter stayed crispy and light, even after sitting on our plates for a little bit. As we sat there, droves of locals and snow birds flocked into the door, and there was even a bit of a line out the door. Between the staff, the food, great prices, and the view, this place will only grow in popularity. One day I have to wake up early to try their breakfast. I keep hearing it’s as good as dinner. All in all, Rusty Bellies, Captain Jacks, and a few of the other seafood places has some stiff competition in The Tarpon Springs and Holiday area, and I know once you try Davidson’s, you’ll forget about the other places. Bookmark this place on Unilocal, and make sure to make it a destination to try.

If only there was a bright yellow brick road to help you find Davidson’s Dockside — How sweet would that be? Well worth traveling a bit of a maze to get to this worthwhile destination. This little gem of a hideaway packs more power in their punch than any of the Sponge Dock restaurants. Seafood is fresh and sinfully delicious, portions plentiful, nice service(especially Amanda). All the outside tables are waterfront so there is very very very little to complain about. Breakfast is a feast! Brunch is even better… eat without reservations and loosen a notch on your belt before you start eating. The hardest thing about this restaurant is figuring out what you want to eat — it’s all wonderful! Captain James & Meg

A hidden sweet spot to enjoy an afternoon. Great specials out on the back deck. Lots of cold draught beers including some nice craft beers. I had 10 dry rub jumbo wings, only 5 bucks, awesome deal. My better half had fish and chips, that too a huge and fresh portion. It was a nice way to spend a late afternoon on the water. The waitress was very freindly, nice nice service :). The only drawback may have been that there was no music. It would have been nice to have even just a little music to liven it up a bit. We really liked it. We will be going back.
