Great steaks. Great service. Perhaps a update to the décor. When making reservations, was asked if an occasion. They made a special desert and confetti for my sons graduation.

The service was pretty good but the ribeye I had was poor. After eating there a second time simply for convenience to the Marriott, my wife and I both got sick. Definitely food poisoning. The only thing we ate the same was a shared lettuce wedge with bleau cheese dressing. I’d give them no stars but you can’t on this app. The server was sweet and friendly. I called the restaurant the next day and was told they would let me know if anyone else called with a similar complaint. They said no one did. Lots of other choices within a pretty easy drive. Make the drive!

As the event coordinator for my company, my 5 star review is based on the private dinner events i have hosted with this Ruth’s Chris location. I have booked on two separate occasions for a private corporate dinner and not only did the event go down flawlessly(very important), but even more, the entire planning process was an absolute breeze. Shout out specifically to Jennifer for making everything as easy as possible for us, it was a pleasure to plan the dinner with her. The event was great, the service was on top of it at all times, the food came out on time and was absolutely delicious. Special meals(kosher) were ordered without issue. I have specific food recommendations for the calamari and the shrimp remoulade for appetizers — the filet mignon, stuffed chicken and blue crab cake entrees are fantastic. Overall, I booked once, I booked again and I will continue booking my private events with the Tarrytown Ruth’s Chris for not only an amazing meal, but a fantastic planning experience! Highly recommended!

Been here many times. On June 3 service was poor /waiter was apologetic but seemed overwhelmed by the 10 top and other tables in his area. Also a new credit card system that allegedly was rolled out that day and again more apologies. Appetizers were great as well as the steaks were top notch. Just service was poor. Many other steak houses to choose from in westchester.

I made reservations to have my birthday dinner here. The reservations were very easy to make online and they were even willing to help me push my reservation back in case anybody in my party was running late(which did happen). I made it clear on the reservation that it was for my birthday. I know for birthdays they put confetti on the table cloth. When the hostess led us to our table, there was not a trace of confetti on it at all. The waiter apologized and offered me any dessert off the menu I wanted for free which was pretty fair! I have no complaints whatsoever about the food. I ordered calamari as an appetizer, a steak and mashed potatoes for my main course, and chocolate lava cake for my birthday treat. They cooked my steak exactly how I wanted it. It was very juicy, succulent and medium well like I asked for. The mashed potatoes were very creamy and delicious. They cooked the food very well. Everything tasted fresh with just the right amount of seasoning. Even the lemonade tasted like fresh squeezed lemonade. This is gonna sound weird but even the tap water they served tasted pure like bottled water lol. They also give large portions of sides that are big enough to share with 2 – 3 people. The hostess came to our table with a point and shoot camera to take a group photo of my party. She really wasn’t that good at taking our picture but I don’t blame her because the lighting at the restaurant is very low and dim. It’s impossible to take nice pictures of groups over here. I even brought my DSLR camera to take pictures but the flash kept on disturbing all the other patrons and the pictures were coming out too dark. It was frustrating because I wanted to capture my birthday dinner celebration and share it on social media with my family and friends but I couldn’t. I was only able to take pictures and videos of my food with my phone. I don’t know… maybe it was the section where we were sitting at, but the lighting sucked. I understand that they dim the lights to give it a romantic feel but it sucks for pictures… ok now I’m rambling. Anyways this is a wonderful restaurant. The staff is very nice. The waiter made sure all our needs were met. He kept bringing us warm tasty bread and kept asking us if we were ok. He gave me my free desert and even put candles and wrote happy birthday with my name on it. That was really nice. We tipped him well. It is a bit pricey here but it is very worth it. You WILL get what you pay for and I say that in a good way :)

Went with my daughter. Service was a little slow and confusing as one waiter took our drink order after 10 minutes and another took our meal order, as our regular waiter was running behind for some reason. 2 petite filets cooked perfectly, mashed and creamed spinach always perfect. Lava cake was good, the accompanying Mousse not that great.

Had a wonderful time. Situated in the back part of the Westchester Marriott hotel, I think this location of the RC chain attracts just as many locals as guests of the hotel. Packed house! My first impression of the restaurant is that it’s probably in need of a refresh décor-wise but in great shape and certainly not run down by any means. In all honesty, I haven’t been to a Ruth’s Chris in years so I don’t know if the chain has a standard of décor that they all follow. Classic décor, perhaps just a wee bit tired looking is all. Our reservation was early and the last available on a Saturday night which was fine, 5:15 works when you’re dining with your 6 year-old. We were seated next to a table set for 20 people which made me nervous. but we were told by the hostess that the party wasn’t coming until«later»(which ended up being 15 minutes later). Once we met our server, I knew we couldn’t move tables, he was awesome and I knew he was going to make our experience a good one. Don was a total pro – I’m guessing he’s been doing this for years. The TOTAL and complete professional. He was assisted by Damian who was great filling in once Don got busy with the large party next to us.(PS most civilized group of 20 ever, barely made a peep!). I got the pre-set for $ 45 which included plenty of food for me(wouldn’t have been enough for my hubs so he stuck with the a la carte menu). My yellow tomato bisque with basil oil was wonderful and full of flavor. The perfect spring time soup. The 4 oz filet although very small was SOOO delicious and was paired with 3 very nice sized broiled shrimp that had a nice dose of Cajun seasoning on them. The smell of seasoned butter on meat here is intoxicating and it’s totally their thing. Don’t ask for no butter — it’s worth the fat and calories. Hubs got the NY strip. Plate was SO sizzling that it took it from medium + to medium-well. Be forewarned!!! Your steak can easily cook up temperature on these hot plates AND you can easily burn a finger(as I did). My creamed spinach was extra on the cream and I would say low on the nutmeg if that’s something you’re looking for. Hubs got seasonal side of grilled corn with jalapeño. Not super high on spiciness but lots and lots of diced pepper in there. Fries were ordered as well, well seasoned, good and tasty, not mind blowing. Cocktails were Moscow Mules. Expertly made and high quality but the deal breaker for me was that it was served in glass not copper. Boo! Morton’s serves in copper mugs as they should be and it keeps them cold. Could’ve used a mint sprig, too but now I’m just being a mule snob. Coffee was really excellent and strong. Berries & cream, really enjoyable. Manager Angela checked on us and when we touched base with her later about the front desk girls not greeting us coming in and out as they should, she handled it like a complete pro. All in all, a very enjoyable night.

First time at a Ruth’s Chris. We made reservations so as soon as we arrived we were seated right away and our waiter came shortly after. He was very knowledgable on the drinks as well as the food, you could tell he was a professional waiter. He asked if it was our first time and it was for all of us(party of 6), so he gave us the low-down on how they season their food and ordering as well as suggestions. The food is expensive, which I knew going into, but the Classic gives you the most bang for your buck so we all got that. With the Classic you get to pick an appetizer, entrée, side and dessert. For the appetizer I had the white bean and chorizo soup. I liked it but didn’t love it. The chorizo didn’t have a lot of flavor and reminded me of boiled hot dogs. :(The rest of the soup was very flavorful though, I think it would’ve tasted better if they used ground chorizo or pan fried instead. For my main meal I had the petit filet with three jumbo shrimp, which was presented beautifully and well seasoned. I would get it again in a heartbeat, so tender it was really perfect. For the side I chose the macaroni and cheese. They used a milder cheese than I was anticipating but it was still OK. Would’ve been better served hot vs room temp, which I was surprised since they heat the entrée plates up to 500 degrees, why not serve the Mac n cheese while it’s hot as well? It was even the first thing I ate because my entrée plate was still sizzling. What I really didn’t like about it not being hot was that it started to solidify and just would’ve been a lot better melty and hot. Lastly was the dessert which was AWESOME! It was as small«slice» of Turtle cheesecake/mouse thing served with two pieces of dark chocolate bark. The bark was the best part, it had nuts and cranberries in it and just very well crafted. The cheesecake/mouse thing was very rich and delicious. Docking a star because of the chorizo and Mac n cheese. Everything else was pretty good though. This is an ideal place if you want a special night out with great service in a comfortable, clean atmosphere where they pay attention to detail and your food.

(Disclaimer: I don’t mean to sound spoiled, but the service I have received at other Ruth’s Chris locations have been impeccable, which is why I had high standards when I visited this location.) Immediately when we walked in, we had to stand around for ten minutes, as there wasn’t anyone to seat us. When someone finally came, she didn’t ask if we wanted our coats hung, so we ended up awkwardly hanging it on our chairs. It was a weekday night and the place was pretty empty. Yet, we were seated next to a bustling aisle right next to the kitchen/bar area. This, I understand was just a personal preference that irritated me, but I’m including this as a note for those who come here for a special occasion & want to be in a quiet, ideal location in the restaurant. We both ordered from the prix fixe menu. The bleu cheese salad was alright, but the chorizo soup tasted of just SALT! Now, I consider us to prefer and eat on the saltier side. yet, the soup was just not edible. We didn’t want to ruin the dinner and make a big deal so we just didn’t eat much. The steak we ordered was pretty good.(Although they over cooked one of our steaks.) At this point, I think that the waiters constantly walking around us kind of distracted me from enjoying my food further .but I did think it was the best part of our meal. We also ordered the creamed spinach and mac&cheese. I learned that night that creamed spinach was not my thang… or it may have not been made properly that night(like the chorizo soup). I personally love the brussel sprouts at Ruth’s Chris– which I should have just paid the extra couple dollars to get. I ended up not eating any of the creamed spinach. The mac&cheese was typical. Though it was a smaller side dish, the portions were actually pretty big. Now, for dessert, I had made a reservation and had stated that we were there for a birthday. Usually, for any occasion I went for, they had given a separate dessert(crème brûlée, berries, etc) for the occasion itself. Yet, we were given the standard dessert included in our prix fixe. It was awkwardly just placed on the plate with a scoop of ice cream. It took away from occasion. I had purposely not brought a cake, because I was told that there would a be a separate dessert for the birthday recipient. If this had been the case, I would have just preferred to bring the cake. To top it off, Ruth’s Chris has always taken a picture and printed it out for us during our meal. Despite us trying to take a picture in the dimly lit restaurant, no one approached us about printing us a picture. It’s not a big deal, but I still appreciate these pictures, because they end up being the only pictures where our faces are visible! Our waitress was very nice, but unfortunately, her service just didn’t make up for our experience. No one asked why we were leaving plates of food, untouched. Even as we were leaving, no one acknowledged us, despite waitresses standing in the front. All in all, I’m not sure if the restaurants in CA have better service, but I will not be back to this location.

I came here with my fiancé and the steak was not as good as I expected. The salad and the cocktail I had was pretty good but the filet mignon that I ordered and ribeye that my fiancé ordered were too salty and buttery. For $ 200 meal, this place didn’t exceed my expectation.

Seriously a great place with great food. Happy hour at the bar was awesome. The Staff Mat, Angela, edrika, and Vinny were all so pleasant. They really are so nice and made me feel happy to be there. Before I went, I did research on best Ahí tuna & drinks. I had the tuna and blueberry mojitos. We also ordered the spicey lobster n the burger n nearly all the cocktails on the menu. All very good and amazingly delishious. I loved it all

How do you judge a meal completely without inspiration yet absolutely perfect in every detail? We first enjoyed a perfectly balanced apple walnut blue cheese salad. Then the main course arrived — a medium rare filet cooked to perfection served on sizzling plates accompanied by a saucy bearnaise. We swapped out the creamed spinach for some of the better grilled asparagus we’ve had in a while — long, thin and perfectly cooked with a tasty hollandaise alongside. Finally, we ended with a lovely turtle cheesecake with chocolate bark. Of course your appetite may vary but we found sharing a meal off the classic menu to be more than enough food for both of us — we brought some of the filet home. As delicious as the food was the drinks were also and again absolutely perfect. It seems that most restaurants outside the city are engaged in an infused simple syrup arms race trying so see how sweet they can make their mixed drinks. But each and every one we tried — the Ruby Red Greyhound, Gold Standard, and Cucumber/Basil Gimlet — hit that perfect ‘sweet spot’ between sweet, sour, and bitter. Lastly the service was impeccable. From the waiter to the servers to the busboy everything arrived promptly our every need was properly anticipated. Actually, the only discordant note was at the door. I have never been to a fine dining establishment where the hostess made it quite so obvious that she would rather be anywhere else in the world. The management should consider granting her wish.

The food was out of this world! I went with family on the evening of Thanksgiving and enjoyed my meal. Some opted for the thanksgiving option while others opted for Ruth’s special option. I, on the other hand, ordered their stuffed baked chicken and au gratin. It was probably the best chicken(meal) that I have ever had in a restaurant. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful while the au gratin pairing made for the perfect side dish. Everything came out hot and delicious. The only reason I did not give this place«5 stars» was due to the busboy. while my boyfriend was still working on his crème of spinach side, he swiftly took it away without asking if he was done. There was a lot left and could have even been taken home as leftovers but no one was given the chance to speak lol other than that, it was a lovely experience.

Sure I’d give them a four star Unilocal out. So hidden secret(?) happy hour bar menu has some reasonable priced options, so I liked that. 8.25 for a draft beer is not something I like. What are gonna do? I guess they have four buck bud bottles, suck it up? I was there 4:15, they were still getting it together, but hey, that’s my schedule, just as well I broke my dining alone taboo, still a pretty intimidating place to be honest. Anywho, I guess, I could come back now that I know what the deal is, I mean it is pretty tasty eats. Prime review hey guys

1st time here. Private party and they provided us a private room for about 12 – 15 people. The food was excellent and also the wine selection. Service was excellent. We had Damien and he catered to us effortlessly. Plenty of parking. And if you eat too much and don’t feel like driving home then there’s a Marriott right next door which is convenient. Highly recommend this place.

150th review. Hey, for me that’s an accomplishment! Great restaurant with friendly waitstaff and hostess with an O.K. bartender. Dude’s not getting any awards for customer service but he can mix a great drink! If you are reading this you are at least slightly aware you will be plunking down some heavy coin to dine here, so be aware and keep in mind that it’s worth it. I’ve had better steak but not by much and that was made by me. The chefs are quite heavy handed with the salt, even the chopped salad was loaded and my osso buco was swimming in a broth so full of salt I had to hang the ravioli off the edge to drain it off before eating. It still was good but definitely not a «gourmet» type of osso. I would go as far as calling it premade and reheated. But it still wasn’t awful. The crusty bread and whipped butter was so good I had to remind myself to stop eating it because I had a 44 $ ribeye on the way and goddamnit if I wasn’t gonna finish every scrap of it! Petite Ribeye was awesome but a minute or two over medium rare but lets not split hairs, it was delish! Got the dipping sauce trio mainly for the black truffle butter which was a knock out as well as the shiitake demi but the honey soy was just ok. Again, tons of salt everywhere! The petite filet was great but the shrimp were bland and unnecessary and the mashed potatoes were an unsatisfying distraction that filled you up if you didn’t pay attention. Overall we really liked this place as a novelty or for a special occasion but if you have the money to toss around for prices like this you can find a much better restaurant that doesn’t seem like a super high end chain restaurant. Would return for sure but probably not very soon.

Very disappointing. The bartender is nice but overworked, too many ppl to handle. He doesn’t come back to check on you once food come out. Kitchen made several mistakes, while guest sit and deal with it. My «warm» bread pudding came out cold, but I couldnt get anyone’s attention. The guy next to me was fuming because his second steak came out wrong again. Finally, I was able to flag a manager down for my cold dessert, he didn’t apologize or express regret. It was like a normal day to him. That’s bothersome. I didn’t have anymore time to wait for a recovery. The guy next to me couldn’t wait for a 3rd steak. Is this what guest are expected to do here? Wait until they get it right?

Had a great Mother’s Day feast today at our favorite steak house Ruth Chris in Tarrytown! They had a Mother’s Day special of app, entrée, side and dessert for only $ 54.95, plus you received a Rose and a $ 25 gift certificate on your next visit! We started with a savory French onion soup abound with lots of cheese, a chopped salad that was presented beautifully in a tower of greens with onion crisps atop, and shoestring fries served in a cone display that were crisped to perfection! Our entrees were divine! A 6 oz filet perfectly cooked and seared with bernaise sauce and a delicate lobster tail with drawn sauce for dipping was heavenly! Our vegetarian son was very pleased too that they had a mix and match platter which he ordered pasta with butter sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus spears. We also ordered my favorite, creamed spinach which is the best I’ve ever had! To top off this incredible meal, we had the raspberry cheesecake with a side of dark chocolate and almond bark, words cannot explain how delicious this was! We are never, ever disappointed in Ruth Chris’s dining experience, be it in New York or Florida, they are always consistent in their food, presentation, ambiance and service! Ps I will be returning very soon to enjoy another excellent dining experience with my Mother’s Day gift from them of $ 25!

Ruth’s Chris quality is better than The Capital Grille but falls a little short of Smith & Wollensky. Regardless, Ruth’s Chris continues to be exceptional. Their top-notch quality is consistent in every restaurant I’ve dined at. I get the same thing every time — a Grey Goose martini, Caesar salad, some type of red wine, Filet Mignon with a side of Béarnaise, Creamed Spinach, Potatoes au Gratin. It’s pretty much the heaviest meal ever — but that’s why I only have it for a special occasion. It’s worth every single penny, every single time. The staff is always on par — and if they aren’t I ask for a different waiter. I don’t need anything ruining a meal I look forward to. The décor is always… a little outdated — but that’s part of the charm. Not sure why people would complain about the prices on Unilocal — don’t you know the price range BEFORE you go? Maybe you’re better off at Outback Steakhouse or something. Furthermore, I can’t believe someone would order a side of steamed broccoli at Ruth’s Chris and then complain about how«boring» it was in their Unilocal review. Really? The item you ordered was boring; steamed broccoli is never going to be something to write home about… that shouldn’t be news. I’m not into franchises, but I have a soft spot for this place. Always delicious food, good memories and I’ve never left unsatisfied.
