Both times I’ve been here I was highly impressed with their beer selection. The bartenders were also really awesome and nice. The second time I came here I got the waffle fries with the garlic aioli sauce and it was such an excellent choice.

Our wedding after party was here! My wife and I began stopping in here for a nice cold glass of high quality beer. We were so impressed with the staff, beers and food that we inquired about an after party. Nick Messina, the manager, was GREAT. He responded to our calls/emails quickly and made the planning painless. Our after party was set up perfectly and the food was spectacular. It feels great to hear our loved ones tell us the food and beer selection was amazing. Def come here. Just want to add that the chef is an absolute gentleman as well!

Great beers spot in Tarrytown; they have around 20 beers selection on tap, with the changed a weekly base. If you are a big beer taster they have the option of sample beers for a good price. I recommend not seeing the menu, just pressing attention to the main screen. The place is bigger that I thought, because they have a hidden room in the back, which makes me wonder if this room is for events, or is part of the main dinner room. The foods have a great taste; I order the Oath Burger. The Oath burger was almost perfect the only issue is that is way too messy to eat without a knife and fork(yes you read well), sadly, it was over-hard instead of runny, is was very easy starting eating with my hang but at one point I had to grab the fork and knife to finishing devouring my burger. I know that you are asking yourself why make this burger so what special making it delicious and messy burger at the same time. The oath burger: is a ½ pound burger, with some bacon, a fried egg and mapple syrup on waffle, yes a waffle instead of bread that is one of the reason that make it so difficult to eat but really worth it. I order my burger medium and the egg over easy, adding more messy and delicious to the plate. The staffs are super attentive, friendly and extremely helpful, with a great knowledge of all beers on tap with they always have great suggestion to any type of beer that you like.

Don’t don’t let looks deceive you. Great beer selection and service. Unusually good, gourmet pub food.

Oath burger, served with a sweet waffle bun, is a must, but honestly, I would have preferred a better quality burger patty and felt like it only needed one waffle sliced lengthwise to serve as the bun. As for the brew, gotta come early if you want the super special beers as they go fast and the replacement is not always along the same vein. Definitely had some great choices from lots of quality microbrewers.

Highly recommend! The beer selection is great and ciders as well! But the food is what drew me in! The Mac and cheese was voted best in the Hudson valley and boy do they deserve it. Made with Pulled pork and topped off with waffle chunks! Definitely a unique menu, large portions and great taste! Service was also great, staff is very friendly. If you decide to dine here you WONT be disappointed! If you’re a French fry and condiment person you will love the unique variety of dipping sauces!

I came here for lunch with a group of friends. A co worker knows my boyfriend is a beer drinker and he told me I had to try the oath out ASAP. The drink menu is insane. So many options and the menu let’s you know what’s in stock and what running low, just a small tiny detail that I appreciated so much. The entire place had a French/Belgium theme, if you don’t notice once you walk in. The décor is very unique and the tables and bar had a nice set up. Now… The food! I’m all about condiments so I was super exited to see that there were so many different sauces to dip my French fries in.(which makes this place even more amazing) The chipotle mayo which I’ve had before at other places was exactly what I expected, delicious. The Sriracha mayo was super spicy but I loved it. Honey mustard was different but it was a’ interesting different and the jalepeno ranch dip was so good. The pulled pork Poutine was amazing, I was surprised at how much meat was in there. But it was yummy A friend ordered wings, another The French onion said and another the pulled pork Mac & Cheese. This Mac and cheese was seriously amazing. Not only did it have pulled pork in it but… the waffle chunks?!? AWESOME! Our server, whom I might add was very friendly and helpful told us the oath just won a Hudson valley award for the Mac and cheese which made us even more excited to try it. Staff was very fun and there to help. We got fries on the house and I deff plan on returning soon to try the chicken and waffles

Great bar for beer lovers and for those interested in comfort food done with a high quality interesting twist(like pulled pork mac and cheese). Sadly I didn’t have any food on this trip but it did look phenomenal. For beer they have 20 micro brews on tap from all over the country and even more than that in bottles/cans. I enjoyed the full description of all the beers and that they do flights of 4 or 8. Unfortunately the prices are pretty high, most of the beers are $ 7 for 12 ounces. The most expensive beer on tap was an 8oz for $ 8 which I can’t really explain because it was only a 6.5%abv beer that didn’t taste like anything special. Still there are a handful of 16oz beers for $ 7 as well which is more reasonable. The bartender was extremely friendly and clearly loved beer and his job, we couldn’t have asked for better service from him. We ended up getting a flight of 8 which was $ 29 after tax, again pricier than I would have expected but nothing absurd. Next time I’m in Tarrytown I’d probably stop back in here to sample some of the other beer options(which do rotate) and try some of their food.

I came here by accident and couldn’t be happier the staff was extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit since I was out of town. The Oath Burger was hands down the best burger is ever had. A nice blend of sweet and savory. Great selection of craft liquors and beers. Definitely a must visit

BEER! LARGESELECTIONOFBEER!!! WINGS, DELICIOUSWINGS! How can you go wrong with beer and wings? Great selection, good tasting, nice table, great space. Not gonna make a trip up, but I’d go again. This would’ve have been my choice on my trip through Tarrytown… We ate our way through Tarrytown this day… we literally stopped and ate at almost every place we looked in the window. Unfortunately, this was already after we’d already eaten a pretty filling lunch and a large coffee… so we came here for drinks and wings… because we couldn’t NOT~! DOIT! This was the best of the day.

I’ve run into an odd physics problem where my wallet seems to lose mass while simultaneously my body gains mass. I still haven’t solved it, I may need to come here a few more times before I figure it out. They have a great beer selection and a nice assortment of appetizers that will no doubt keep me coming back. I tried a cherry hop wine that they had on tap which isn’t currently on their menu online, but it was around 10% ABC and it was amazingly smooth. It was probably one of the best high alcohol content beers I’ve had. Their wings are pretty good, but I think they need to make them spicier. I got the hot and I really didn’t taste any spice. They were good, but I wanted something with a kick. The service was solid and seemed to be on top of things. Overall a great experience, albeit a bit pricey.

I’m so glad I don’t live nearby, I’d be ruined. Great beer selections, really friendly staff and patrons(there’s always good conversation), and I found out on the last visit that the food is nothing at all to scoff at either — the mac and cheese is what gets raved about it seems like, and rightly so. Also their horseradish sauce, it goes incredibly with the steak. Don’t be afraid to ask for a taste of anything draft before diving in with a flight — and don’t overlook the bottle selection either.

I came here with my boyfriend and a friend of ours, this past Sunday. Oath is a charming pub in Tarrytown. Cheerful and festive environment. Tons of craft beer and liquor available. The person who took our order was great, explained everything and answered our questions. First, we received our food before silverware and had to flag down the sever – different than the person who took our order. She seemed annoyed when we asked for silverware. It should have been there when we sat down. I ordered the onion rings and side Cesar salad. Rings great, salad meh. Dressing tastes as though it came from a bottle. I didn’t eat most of it. My BF ordered the croque monsieur with fries and hard cider. He said it was great and ate everything. Our friend ordered the grilled-cheese and rye on the rocks. He enjoyed the sandwich but complained at the quantity of rye he was given — but he liked it well enough. We’re in Tarrytown often, so I’m sure we’ll be back. I won’t order the salad.

Enjoyed this restaurant for a work dinner, but I was a bit disappointed in my meal. I stopped in due to the good reviews and the fact that I was hungry and it was late. The servers were friendly and seated me quickly. They let me try two different pumpkin beers before I selected one(the beer list is quite long, but a lot of them are very unique, so I didn’t know many of them). For those of you who like Bourbon County Stout — they did have that on tap(difficult to find in Chicago). I picked a chicken sandwich from the menu that sounded tasty and the server stated it was one of their most popular items. It smelled amazing, but as soon as I took a bite, I thought that the consistency of the chicken was a little strange. It was definitely cooked and nice and juicy but the flavor was a bit weird and the consistency was almost hard — I couldn’t figure out why because when poking at it with a fork, it seemed fine. Flavor otherwise was good, but the chicken totally turned me off and I barely could eat it. The atmosphere was nice for a bar and I can see why it’s popular as there are so many beers, but I wasn’t sold on the food.

I’ve become a regular at the Oath not only because of its fantastic beer selection, but also because the food is fantastic. It’s bar food, but it’s elevated. My favorite: the steak frites. Sure, The Oath isn’t a steak house, but the cut of meat is great and their French fries are top notch. Also, it’s served with Brussel sprouts that are to die for. Also, give the chicken and waffles a shot. The chicken is battered instead of fried, so it’s slightly different than the classic southern fare. Overall, I would recommend the oath in a heartbeat. Great food, great beer, great atmosphere.

A very good Belgian-influenced beer and food menu in at this Tarrytown bar. I think every single pumpkin beer in existence was on tap here when I stopped in. The draft menu was in fact 100% pumpkin, no other beer was listed at all in the drafts. They did at least have a bunch of great stuff by the bottle, I just found it odd that they have such an unbalanced draft selection. I had a good Norwegian saison and a German smoked dark beer. I definitely had my beer geek on. The food isn’t half bad. That is an understatement. the hot wings were some of the best I have ever had. I would go back just for those and the beer. The tater tots with chipotle mayo were delightfully crispy as if they were deep fried twice like fries. Speaking of fries, I did not have any but they have several options with about a dozen different dipping sauces to choose from. The burger sandwiched between two belgian waffles with bacon, egg and maple syrup was unique but all the flavors didn’t jive. Too much cloying sweetness from both the waffles and the syrup.

Great beer selection. Clean. Great guys on staff. I met an old friend here this past week — we just happened upon it and were not disappointed. It was still early, so there was only one other couple in this cozy little spot. We sat at the bar and shared sweet potato fries and pulled pork poutine. My friend said that the poutine was«inspiring»…he and I polished off every last morsel. I thought the sweet potato fries were perfect. The spicy dipping sauce was delicious. I had a chocolate stout and my friend had one of the IPA’s(which the bartender graciously offered samples to my friend with the discerning palate). Next time I’m in the area, I’m coming back to sample other beers and try some of the dinner menu items. Awesome find.

Definitely a great addition to the Tarrytown area and a nice alternative to Captain Lawrence if you are looking for a fuller food menu and seating indoors for a larger party. They have 20 different beers on tap in addition to various canned and bottled beers that are also on the menu. The half or full beer samplers are a great option(and a pretty worthwhile deal) if you want to try multiple beers without breaking the bank. A dollar per sample is pretty fantastic! FYI, the beer menu online does not necessarily reflect the current selection of beers! My friend and I weren’t feeling the burgers — even though I will definitely be back to try one in the future — so we opted for the waffle fries and the beer battered chicken tenders instead. They have a variety of different dipping sauces that you can choose from — and I believe they’ll let you choose more than one if you ask! We ordered the fries with the béchamel sauce(we definitely had trouble pronouncing this word) and the curry ketchup(yum!)…and the server also brought us the garlic aioli + regular ketchup. In addition, the chicken tenders came with mustard. It was a HUGE condiment party! I was a big fan of the waffle fries but I thought the batter on the chicken tenders was odd. The consistency was doughy instead of crispy… so I ended up pulling off a lot of the batter and just eating the chicken. :( Service wise, the Oath staff is super attentive and friendly! I can’t wait to be back!

As petty as this may sound, the douchey gothic cross logo this place sports is what kept me from stopping by sooner. It reminds me of the Affliction clothing brand and the meatheads who wear said brand, whom I also wouldn’t approach with a ten foot clown-pole. It might as well be a logo of a juiced out guy from New Jersey in a size small black v-neck with a gold chain and a generic tribal tattoo. However, once you get past that small detail, this place is pretty awesome. We went on a Tuesday night and had no problem getting a seat and the noise levels were fine. The beer selection was fairly good, and I asked the server to choose a flight of eight for me with some of their best offerings. Among those, I’d definitely recommend the Singlecut 19 – 33 Queens Lager for fans of lighter beer and the smooth, complex Birrificio del Ducato Verdi Imperial Stout for dark beer lovers. This was my favorite of the night by far. For pub food, the menu is damn good– and I don’t think that sentiment is borne of an alcohol-fueled haze where everything is good… and everyone is my best friend… and I just loooove you guys… and this is the greatest night of my life and I’m sooo happy. It’s legitimately above average. The mac and cheese was a serious concoction– made with sharp cheddar and mixed with tender, smokey pulled pork and waffle chunks that add a unique maple-y sweet, malty element which is absolutely incredible. The buffalo wings are huge, butter-rich, hot and crispy the way they should be. The chicken tenders are juicy and light,(like non-greasy chicken fingers) served with a really well-done honey mustard sauce. My deep regret is not trying the ribs, which would have been perfect with the stout. ***Update: tried ribs. A slow, sad fart noise should convey my opinion of the full rack nicely. Can’t win em’ all, Oath. I cannot begin to explain how happy I am that The Oath has replaced the horrendous Mexican restaurant that used to inhabit this space. The world thanks you. So put the Zak Bagans-esque logo out of your mind and try this place. You won’t be disappointed. Unless you’re actually Zak Bagans and you were expecting complete douchebaggery within.
