Really cute pasty here! I came here to pick up something to take over to my best friends dinner party and loved it. There are so many cute, unique pastries to choose from. I love that each pastry is small, but not bite sized! I don’t like little things or little food portions! These are the right size and the right price. You can come here, pick your desserts and head out. No frills, ample parking and i love that I could be in and out! Enjoy!

If I could give them a zero I would. I just waited 20 minutes because they were understaffed on one of the big jewish holidays because they kept on answering questions of people who were too rude to wait in line. Of course nothing is marked so you never know what they have in stock and as I finally got to my turn they did not have what I needed and they gave me attitude like it is all expected of their customers. They are not the only jewish bakery in town and they will definitely not get my business again.

It is usually one of the best non-dairy kosher bakery i will ever buy from. But seems i need a change. For the last two times the cake i purchased for a birthday, was not fresh and also sour. I called in and complained. No one really cared. And i am a usual there. Doesn’t look like I will go back there. They don’t care to give service.

I came here during the week, around lunch time. The place was not empty, not at all. So they seem to be busy with customer’s, which is a good thing. The pastry’s are pricey, so don’t expect for them to be cheap. I got a groupon deal for my first experience, so it was fair. With the deal it was a specific selection of pastries, so I was somewhat limited. As to the pastry’s themselves, they were tasty. My friends and I enjoyed them. But nothing crazy to write about. Would I give them a shot again? Possibly, if I were in the area. But I don’t live or work really close.

I ordered a ½ sheet of tiramisu cake for a friends birthday. $ 85 without chocolate shavings on top, $ 95 with — not inexpensive at all. The only thing unique about the cake was that it had nothing to do with a real tiramisu! It was dry, boring, and didn’t taste like it was made from fresh ingredients. 1 star for customer ‘service’ too… no smile, no hello — the young woman who brought out my cake seem to have other things on her mind. Never again!

We ordered lighting McQueen cake and a lot of cupcakes from Unique Pastry. Decoration was well done and cakes were super yummy. Frosting were not overly sweet and was just sweet enough. Both kids and adults loved cakes. Added bonus was that they are dairy free and kosher. So all the guest were able to enjoy.

Absolutely horrible customer service. From the owner to every single person working in this place. They seem to only want to cater to their regulars and no one from other decent? I felt insulted and discriminated. No hello nothing. I made the mistake out of desperation while extremely hungry in stopping by and had to wait for over 30 minutes for a Togo order, and they got the order completely wrong. Incompetent, no business skills, apathetic about customers and Customer feedback. I’m sure they won’t care one bit about this negative review, but I wanted to warn others not to waste their time and money on such an establishment. Ohh and the Food is below average also! Never again!!!

4 stars for great food, however must deduct a star for service. They had only 1 server working. She wore multiple hats from making coffee to taking orders to cashing out. So if you don’t mind waiting a bit, food is great!

I come here every year for their Hanukkah donuts. If you haven’t tried them you are definitely missing out! My favorites are the custard filled and the jelly filled. They’re only around during this season so definitely worth a trip to try them! The donuts are non dairy so I’d you’re lactose intolerant it’s a good choice when craving something sinfully delicious. Not too sweet but a great desert!

OMG. So good! My fellow dairy allergens like me, be sure to visit this place! All the desserts here are 100% dairy free! YUM! Just stopped by. I tried the tiramisu-I wanted to try it all my life, but my dairy allergy stopped me. The tiramisu was chocolatey with just a hint of lemon. All the rainbow-sprinkled cookies at the bottom are delicious. They have lots of space to sit and enjoy dessert, and they have a wide variety. Everything is all parve and kosher. I bought 2 pounds of cookies here-yum!

To use a credit card — you need $ 10 minimum. The burekas are kind of dry. but they have good filling in it. just not a lot of it. The suvganot(jelly filled donuts) are really tasty though. usually can never find them unless its Chanukah. So whenever I’m feeling the need for these babies, I’ll be coming back for more! They also have a wide selection of teas. unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try any since it was scorching hot outside but I really likehow they have so many options.-lots of exotic flavors too. I also thought it was really cozy inside would be an IDEAL study place for when school is in session. will be coming back for sure.

Last time I was in there, the woman that works there just looked at me… No hello, no can I help you. No let me get someone to help you since I’m useless and prefer to just stare while I grab myself a cookie & shove it in my mouth right in front of your face while continuing to blankly stare. You have to be told by the Hispanic man helping someone on the dairy side that I’m standing over here and need to be helped? You were just staring in my face and didn’t think to ask me what I needed? Maybe in your mind I just like to walk into places and stand there for no reason? Finally after an eternity, another guy mopping the floors in the back saw me, smiled and called for another guy to help me. Happily he smiled and took my order. Whoever you are, learn some business sense from those guys and at least try to pretend you’re not a sleep walking zombie or too good to help the customers! Last time for me! So keep eating your own cookies because I certainly won’t be.

I was introduced to this place through a Groupon coupon. Not a pleasant experience starting with their lack of courtesy(in fact they were very rude!) to the appearance of the place(old and run-down)), to the bland flavor in the pastries(my 5-year old niece could’ve done a much better job). I called before going and was told they’re open for another hour. Upon arriving, half an hour before closing, they were putting everything away. No one acknowledged me and after waiting a while I finally asked for help but they clearly seemed annoyed by my presence and said«sorry we’re closing». I told them that I had called before driving out of my way, plus their posted hours said they were still open for another ½ hour! So when I questioned why were they refusing to let me get what I came for the lady said«we’re a kosher bakery» to which I responded saying I don’t understand what that has to do with me getting what I came in for. The lady gave me this look like you idiot and said«you’re obviously not Jewish». Anyways, I just ignored her condescending comment and insisted on getting service; the ladies there finally agreed to sell me the pastries — didn’t have a wide variety to choose from — so I just settled for what they had so I don’t have to make another trip and swore to write them off! Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this awful place!

Bought a groupon for a dozen mini pastries and I am so glad I did! All the pastries are dairy free– which is fantastic and the chocolate éclair taste amazing. I cant wait to come back here and try the Iraqi sandwich. The staff was really friendly too, I brought my Jewish friend to help me with all the pastries but I would not have even needed her because the lady helping me was so informative. I will say try not to go on a Friday in the morning– the grandmas are out and they do not play around– there were like 8 of them just taking care of business the first time i went, so i just left and came back on a Thursday at like 3pm. Way better, no line and ample parking. Oh also this place is a wee bit hard to see so when your on Ventura its in the strip mall area next to Cocos.
