Taco Time

Food was above par for some of the Taco Time restaurants I have eaten at. The service was very quick. I do however feel like there was a bit of a lack of professionalism from the employees shouting across the restaurant. But honestly, that is of little concern, it’s a taco time. Definitely will be back!

Slightly more expensive than its brethren and food safety is of issue here. Handling money with white gloves then immediately handling food is a major no-​no and I presume the person I saw doing this to be in training, but the actual trainer just let it go. I didn’t see it with my order, but that’s this time… probably will not be returning again to chance it.
Aside from that, this is probably overall the worst of the Taco Times I’ve eaten at. Lots of use of the microwave, but still got cold Mexi-fries…also the cold cinnamon things, but not the end of the world there. Crispy burrito was completely over-​fried and nearly dried out inside. Not so yummy. Given that this place is in close proximity to a college, the appeal and perhaps design of it is for the more money-​strapped college student attending there. For everyone else, particularly those with more discriminating taste, best to avoid this one.

Taco Time is fast food Mexican done well and done right! The prices are cheap and the food is prepared fresh and prepared fast.

This is my second favorite Taco Time location.
If I have work right after class, I stop in here since it is conveniently located right by the Redwood SLCC campus. After 2 times of coming in, one of the workers memorized my order. I would walk in and hear «Veggie burrito, no tomatoes and light on the sour cream». At first I didn’t know whether to be embarrassed or flattered.
The service at this location is perfect, and this is one of the best veggie burritos that I have ever had. This location really packs on the beans and rice, which is my favorite part.
Sadly, my summer course has ended, but I might just make a special trip.

This restaurant was dirty and my wife and I got food poisoning from their tacos.

Taco Time is Amercanized Mexican fast food, done right.
They use fresh ingredients and put them together in delectable combinations.
The prices are higher than that place that makes you get the runs at the border, but the quality is also much higher.
Make no mistake, this is FAST FOOD. But if you eat inside, there’s a nice salsa bar with hot sauces, ranch and several varieties of hot peppers.
The «Casita Burrito» is my go-​to dish at Taco Time. It’s sort of a hybrid burrito/​enchilade, filled and topped with deliciousness. Also, they have Mexi Fries (tater tots)!! Get them smothered in cheese and dip them in hot sauce. Yum!
