I spent 20 minutes standing in an empty restaurant as they were having a conversation in the back. I said hello maybe 10 times. Each time louder than the time before. There’s no way they didn’t hear me. I’m assuming I was ignored along with the ringing phone in the front. To be honest I was looking forward to lunch here today but left and went next door. From the reviews the food looks good. The service tho. Is literally non-existent. So disappointing.

they have this amazing burger called«juicy lucy burger». Its made out of 3 cheese, and omg its super good. Theres wings are also good, the bbq, has as a unique taste. The layout looks creepy but the food is amazing. Make sure you call ahead of time, because it takes 20 – 30 minutes to make. You also get charged for eating in the restaurant. I don’t know much exactly. There is also a minimum in cards, 10.00. The guy in the front that works there, is real as it gets. SUPER nice, funny and helpful.

This BBQ joint has AMAZING Beef Ribs and Wings. We ordered about 7 orders of BBQ Beef Ribs and 4 orders of Spicy BBQ wings for a family gathering of 10 people and EVERY person had an overwhelmingly positive response! There is so much meat on the bone and love the fact that they brought the bones back! Wings were super spicy and red(which I LOVED). Definitely glad there’s a great BBQ joint that is local. The owner of the store was there and was very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious. They prepared the large order in a short amount of time(like 30 – 45 minutes). I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great local BBQ joint!

I wish I still lived across the street, because the food here is awesome and cheap. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal, but I had it bookmarked because they had NY style platters, so I went for lunch. The restaurant is small, and seems more like a takeout joint. But they do have some seating if your group isn’t very large. I’m a big fan of the halal carts in NYC. Addy’s BBQ serves a very good and very large portion of a lamb and chicken platter. Their white sauce is on point with the white sauce from the famous Halal Guys and their hot sauce is spicy but still flavorful. Instead of pita bread, their platters come with their fresh, homemade bread(I think it’s naan but I’m not sure). The rice was flavorful, and the meats were juicy. My only complaint is that the meats were so finely chopped, I could barely tell what they were. But that’s not really a dealbreaker. I also got their mac and cheese and masala fries. The mac and cheese was super cheesy, and the masala fries had lots of different spices and flavors to it. I would definitely get the masala fries again, especially with their white and hot sauces.

Save your self the stomach ache spent the rest of the day back and forth to the restroom after this place. Been here a few times but lately it’s been going down hill for this place service sadly sucks prices are weird and they have been messing up the orders a lot lately… I got a chicken burger and hamburger with a can of Coke for $ 21.83 I don’t know why or how and it’s definitely not worth it at all sadly. To be exact I had a ¼ pounder Burger that I ordered with some lettuce and Tomatoes my order came out with all this grilled onions and weird sauces I clearly said I want no fries they brought it out with an order of fries cause taking a simple order is way too hard for the worker and for the chicken burger as well I got it with lettuce and tomatoes nothing else but again taking a simple order is too hard for this sad place also I got a mango lassi witch tasted horrible and I ended up drinking a few sips and leaving it on the table for the owner to drink when he decides to clean his tables and I had a can of Coke to attempt to wash down the disgusting food I had one can of coke not 2 I don’t know where this liar business owner is getting 2 from and to top it all off I ended throwing up most of his disgusting food in an attempt to feel better after his disgusting food. so please and kindly to the sad owner of this place instead of attacking ur customers after you messed up my order and over charged me stop being pathetic and be a real business owner and stand up for ur mistake and fix it and not come attacking your customers. Again STAYAWAY!!!

Met Addy and he is super personable. We had a nice chat where he invited me to like his Facebook page where he would post about his reopening to sample new dishes. He is really passionate about his good and allowed me to hang out on the fringes of his kitchen to see the magic is made. He knows how to cook. Portion is on spot. His philosophy is to keep prices low, portions high, and quality top notch and his customers will keep coming back. He’s right.

I was in the mood to try a new BBQ place so I decided to find one on Unilocal. I read the reviews on this place so I decided to try it. It’s a small place, nothing fancy so I was a little worried about trying it. We are happy we did because none of us were disappointed. The food was delicious! I had the ribeye with fries and I was totally satisfied. My son had the Mac and cheese and we all helped him eat it :), all the food was very good. The price for everything was very affordable too. So the best part of my experience… the service! Robert was so pleasant and courteous. He made our dinning experience even better. I totally recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

My friends and I were driving to Allendale late Friday afternoon and were famished! Google Maps suggested this place and boy are we glad we decided to give it a shot. For a fantastic $ 16 per order, we each got a juicy steak, hand-cut fries, well-dressed salad, and creamy au jus to compliment everything. Our server was quite attentive, but the owner himself came to check up on us to make sure everything was cooked to our liking. #MomAndPopShopsFTW! Here’s the kicker: the food is Halal! We were delighted to have found this little gem of a spot… I’ll surely be back, next time with a larger crowd. Can’t beat the combination of quality, service, and value.

We drove up from virgina just for the bbq ribs and they were so tasty! We look for halal food and this establishment carries halal meats! We also tried the rib eye mishaki which was good as well. It’s a east African style dish. to us it was compared to our Pakistani seekh kabob! The chef was really nice he came and greeted us at the end! We are so pleased that on our way back down to Virginia we will be picking up a few Togo orders! Oo I forgot to mention we order masala fries and boy. I was expecting fries with some chili powder and. I was wrong. It was actually like masala fries meaning curried fries. yummmmy Amazing! Mouth-watering#!!! You do have to look for street parking.

A true hidden gem. This place does chicken and rice platter their own way so it’s not the traditional lather it up with white sauce kind but the platters don’t need a ton of sauce. There rice and the meat is well seasoned by itself. Their mishkaki platters are also very well cooked. They somehow manage to cook chicken breast up to the perfect point where it is just done and not dried out — this is coming from a dyed in the wool dark meat lover. The shakes are delicious, the mac and cheese is out of this world as well. This is very much a hole in the wall operation with one guy in the front and one guy in the back cooking the food. Expect to wait a little while for your food. I’m still giving them 5 stars because as with any business you can choose two from cheap, quality or fast. Addy’s definitely has cheap and quality covered.

This place is full of surprises. The location is awkward. It’s on Teaneck Rd, very close to rt 4. There is no designated parking, you kinda have to hunt around. Parking is definitely not convenient. The dining area is surprisingly larger than the exterior would suggest. There are about 4 semi-pct booths to the side. There are pictures of pagodas or other such asian buildings, for whatever reason. I suspect this may have been a sushi restaurant before? Atmosphere: I got there at an awkward time(3 or 4 in the afternoon), so there were not many patrons. No music, it was awkwardly quiet. Service: The gentleman waiter was friendly, polite, knowledgeable about the food, and gave helpful suggestions. He was great in every way, except one: he was not really dressed in any sort of waiter/server uniform. I don’t have high expectations about this sort of thing, I really don’t. But when you can’t tell immediately discern who works there, there is a problem that is easily correctible, I think, and it would be beneficial to them in the long run to heed this advice. Food: Ah, on to the food! Amarillo burger: Burger with mushrooms in a cream sauce. Burger itself was a little different from a typical burger…(maybe a special patty recipe with extra ingredients?), slightly overdone(there were no inquiries about the done-ness of the burger). The mushrooms with the creamy sauce/gravy all over the fries were tasty. Mac n Cheese: Good crust, but just not enough of the crust. Maybe cook it in cast iron? Who doesn’t like more crust? The pasta was a bit overdone. Maybe the pasta had been fully cooked before baking again in the cheese? As to the cheese: it was creamy, there was cheese, but perhaps more cream than cheese. I was left wanting more cheese, maybe a bit more variety of cheese, the addition of a nutty cheese, maybe some Parm, maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about, but it was overcooked, and missing something in the flavor. Mixed Mishkaki platter: this plate comes out from the kitchen, sizzling, and immediately captures everyone’s attention. Better yet, it tastes wonderful. I don’t know what that green sauce is, but yum yum. Beef and chicken was very juicy, and not dry at all. Summary: Tasty food, reasonable prices, parking is a pain.

It’s rare to come across a non-fancy, decently priced, restaurant that’s worthy of 5 stars, and Addy’s is one of them! Addy’s BBQ is one of the best Halal spots I have ever been to so far in my life. Every single item we’ve had was just pure heavenly deliciousness. Let’s start with the ribs: it melted in my mouth! Soft and tender as it can be, packed with flavor and generously coated with perfectly balanced genuine home-cooked style barbecue sauce, the smokey fall-off-the-bone ribs will make you drop the fork, use your fingers, and lick the plate clean. After having the ribs, you would surely know that the chef, Adnan — a genuinely nice guy, took his time to cook the ribs with love and care. Wings are equally worth the praise, and so is the mac and cheese! If you have room for some more, go for the chicken or beef Mishkaki and Masala fries. When it comes to Halal eating, we are often left with limited choices and forced to accept what we are given. Addy’s BBQ sets a whole new expectation for a halal eatery with its diverse, East African, America, and Indian, cuisine. Addy(Adnan), you are the real-chef in my book!

Addy’s was recommended by a friend and boy it didn’t disappoint, we were in the area so just decided to stop by for brunch. We ordered both chicken and rib-eye mishkaki which seem to be their specialty and they were just amaizing. The meat was tender and succulent and just melted in the mouth. On the side we got Masala fries which were good as well. Overall I would say it’s a hidden gem which in my 10 years of visiting Teaneck never knew off and I’ll be coming back for sure.

If you order anything, order the following: –Mac & cheese: you will not regret this decision, I’m telling you. –Amarillo Burger: that mushroom sauce is simply DIVINE. Like you will be walking on cloud 9! –Chili Cheese Fries: Bruh. Bruh. This chili cheese fries are still on my mind, I can’t stop thinking about it. –BBQ Ribs with Rice: The Ribs dish is what Addys BBQ is, it’s everything. Order it and enjoy. –Mango Lassi: One the best milkshakes you will ever have, period. –Falooda: Order it. Just order it. Don’t question me.

WOW!!! So good I went back twice… 1. Something for everyone, an eclectic menu from burgers and bbq to halal chicken & rice. 2. Everything on the menu was delicious, no disappointments. 3. Highlights: Masala fries, Mac & Cheese, Mishkaki Chicken 4. So much flavor! I usually drown my chicken & rice in white sauce, but my platter was seasoned perfectly it really didn’t need it. 5. Affordable. Freshly made food on a budget.

If you like Spicy, Halal, BBQ and Indian food you MUST try this place! Don’t let the simple menu fool you — the dishes are unique and will surprise your taste buds! The Chili Cheese Fries are incredible, not what you would expect. Burgers have that charbroiled taste. Mac and Cheese, wow. Mishakai and short ribs on point! I get the mango lassi every time — it has just the right amount of sweetness. They could double the prices of their dishes and I’d still come back without hesitation! There’s nothing like it.

Excellent food. 1) Came here and got the mixed meat mishkaki, masala fries, and chili cheese burger as well as beef ribs. All the food was excellent. 2) I recommend the mixed meat Mishkaki, it is excellent. Mishkaki originates from East Africa, specifically Zanzibar/Tanzania. Awesome! 3) Price is very reasonable.

Addy’s is definitely my kind of place! The restaurant is very eclectic: there’s a mix of American food(burgers and ribs), Indian food(masala fries and lassi), and Halal platters. The décor is equally interesting. there’s a mix of Japanese style enclosed booths and tables. There’s even a rock garden in the corner. We ordered masala fries, chicken/lamb platters and a mango lassi. The lassi was delicious, comparable to my favorite Indian restaurants. The masala fries are a must-order, very unique and flavorful! We also really enjoyed our platters. They were large as you would expect, with plenty of meat and rice, a small salad and some pita(which reminds me a bit of naan too). One word of caution: we found a small piece of chicken bone in our platter. This probably means the food is being prepared fresh, but just don’t go crazy chowing down. wouldn’t want to chip a tooth! The white sauce and hot sauce are stored in the nearby fridge, so you can stock up and add as much as you like. The hot sauce was really good, plenty of kick! The prices are reasonable, service is fast, and we enjoyed our food! I’d definitely recommend Addy’s!
