Worst experience ever. My wife and I ordered salads and after eating a couple bites decided it was gross and so I asked if my wife could substitute her meal for a patty melt. The server said yes and eventually brought it out. At the end the total bill included all 3 meals for the 2 of us. I refused to pay and the manager said, «tell that to the police!» I said okay I will. Needless to say, I ended up having to pay for the 3 meals because the guy was such an ***hole. I furious. I will never eat at Bob’s Big Boy again.

Finally!!! Its closed!!! This place gave Bob a bad name. The closest«good» Bobs is up in Calipatria. Bad service, «natural cut» fries(yeah, like we aren’t tired of those by now), hamburger patties that were made way before your order, and dirty tables is a recipe for closure. Lets just hope another mexican restaurant doesn’t move in where the old business is.

Used to eat at Bob’s as a kid so it was nostalgia for me like other Unilocalers. I went at 5:30pm on a Tuesday and was amazed there were only two other tables with customers. Made me wonder why. I asked the waitress and she said the dinner rush was at 7:30. Hmmm. I had chicken tenders and a side salad with ranch. The salad came right away and was tasty. Within one minute of finis

I’ve always been a fan of Bob’s Big Boy. I usually go to the one in Toluca Lake, but since I was in the area one weekend and I had a hankering for some chili spaghetti, I came here. The chili spaghetti was as good as I remember it. The server was very attentive and refilled my water whenever it needed refilling. My food came out quickly. No complaints here about the food, the service, or the restaurant!

I never grew up around a Bob’s Big Boy so all the nostalgia is lost on me. I do, however, believe that they serve a tasty burger. Unfortunately, if you want Sprite you’ll have to settle for Sierra Mist. So using my deducing skills, this means that this is a Pepsi joint. Cripes! Outdoor seating would be kind of cool, but it’s probably not the best intersection to pull it off. Nobody wants a nose full of exhaust while you chomp down on your lunch. The $ 6 burger combo is hard to beat, especially when you consider the fact that it’s a double cheeseburger and a full plate of fries. I’ve been here enough times to know that this meal will always satisfy. I mean he is holding a burger right? I doubt I’ll try anything else here. Don’t see a reason why…

I can’t rate the food because we didn’t make it to the table. The place reeked and there was only one table being served at 7:30 pm. RIP Bob

I bought a coupon for this place off of Reader’s Steals. Mostly because I wanted an excuse to come back to Temecula and start of a day of wine tasting with a homey breakfast. Even with the coupon, I’m not too sure this place was worth it at least for breakfast. Everything was very standard down to the boring egg dish my husband ordered. I went for the multigrain pancakes as one of the more interesting offers and wished I hadn’t. They were chock full of peanuts and soggy. I’m not a big peanut fan except in certain dishes(like pad thai). They overwhelmed the pancakes. I got tired of eating those things very quickly. All in all a very disappointing breakfast. Almost not worth finishing. On the plus side, the service was fine but we were there right after it opened.

On our way back home from the casinos we stopped in for lunch at Bob’s(I actually had breakfast). I had the multigrain pancakes(I asked for 2 and got 3 cakes — ok, so the hubs got a cake too) with sausage and scrambled egg whites. I was surprised that the fruit on my cakes were fresh not syrup-ed and canned — fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries. The sausage and eggs were not greasy and almost looked fake that it was grease less looking. I really wanted to try the milkshakes, but I could not take in a bite of anything after having breakfast. This place was clean and service attentive. Not a bad place to stop in before or after your trip.

Bob’s is a classic chain dinner. They turn out simple American food with a focus on the burger and fries. They bring me back to my childhood when a trip to a Bob’s Big Boy was a special treat. I like going with my kids as well. It’s classic.

So the funny thing is, we were on our way back to OC from Pala and were going to stop at Richie’s Diner in Temecula, that is until I saw a Bob’s Big Boy sign from the freeway! We started scanning the area for Bob’s and when we finally found it, we realized it was where Richie’s USED to be, lol. It was pretty cool to see a Bob’s with a Big Boy out in front again but we weren’t sure what to expect inside. It was slightly different than the old school Bob’s we both remembered but the menu was pretty much the same. I had bacon and eggs, sausage patties and hash-browns and everything was cooked perfectly. My over medium eggs were exactly right, not hard and not runny, the hash-browns were crispy on the outside and the sausage patties were pretty large. My toast could have been a little more toasted but everything else was so good, I wasn’t going to complain. Hubby said his omelet was delicious and he especially enjoyed that it had hash-browns inside. They had really good coffee and our server was really nice and on the ball with coffee refills and stuff. We will be back!

During my youth I’d often see the Bob’s Big Boy logo and wonder about their food. I had my first taste of Big Boy here. I had their slim jim which was basically a ham and swiss sandwich on toasted bread with some funky sauce. The sandwich came with fries which were pretty good and a cole slaw which was pretty meh! Looking around it seemed like breakfast is the thing to do here. Maybe next time. Service was decent.

So I remember Bob’s Big Boy when I was a kid… the gigantic boy in the red checkered jumpsuit holding up a tray of burgers of some sort… and then I remember most of them closing down… and out went the gigantic Bob! So sad… but lo’ and behold… I found one in Murrieta. It seems like this place is fairly new. So we dropped by for breakfast. Breakfast being my favorite meal of the day… I was happy to come back to Bob’s Big Boy! However… the gigantic BOB… so only left to a dismal little bob. He stands about 5 feet tall… sort of sad compared to what I remember when I was younger. But enough about the«bob» statue… size doesn’t matter as long as the food is good. Walking into the restaurant seems to bring you back in time. I like the set-up and the old school diner feel it gives you. However, everything is brand new looking… so its real retro. The waitresses seem to have this similar hair style going on… and I’m not talking about an old 50’s look. They seem to have died their bottom layer of hair black/dark brown and the top half of their hair is blond… I see that sometimes, but not so concentrated in one place. My friend later explained that, thats how the girls in the area dress and like their hair.(Interesting…future halloween costume? I’m putting in on my list) The breakfast menu was your standard hotcakes/french toast/eggs/scrambles…I decided to try the potatoe omlette looking thing. Which was instead of using eggs to fold the omelette they used hash browns. It was an interesting twist, and something I haven’t tried before. My friend got the cinnamonn french toast. All was decent. But the food just reminded me of «Denny’s» quality and taste. Nothing special… would have tasted better if I was a bit wasted like at Denny’s. But overall, I don’t think I would come back here… the hotcakes were average… the potatoe thingy was average. So yeah, I’ve experienced better breakfast. They did have burgers and milkshakes that looked pretty good. But I’ll have to pass.
