Uptown Tavern

The redesign that’s going on at this place is amazing! A cozy, intimate, local venue, for live music and a good drink selection. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
It’s in a small, strip mall, next to 1^st ammendment tattoo shop, a liquor store and a massage parlor (lol) but it’s great. Seems small from the outside, but once you walk in, there’s so much room it’s crazy. TVS everywhere, projectors, good music selection, food is good, service was impeccable.
I will be coming here to see more live music, tribute bands, and national acts! This is EXACTLY what the valley needs! Keep it up guys!

A few friends & I went in on a Monday afternoon (around 1 PM). The place was pretty quiet, but we didn’t mind… We were planning on hanging out, catching up on «old times», and shooting some free pool. The sever was attentive & friendly, she had mentioned that she was new when I had a menu question, and was willing to inquire from the kitchen (which I appreciate). I ordered the chicken club, which is «different» from a traditional club, and really good (had a warm chicken breast, instead of deli style meat), I would definitely recommend that sandwich. The Cajun fries were ok, needed more flavor though. One of my friends got the jalapeño poppers, those were AWESOME! (Too bad there’s only 3 to the order).
We stayed for hours, reminiscing and sharing laughs. Had a few beers/​cocktails, and never felt rushed or «discouraged» from staying that long.
The only negative thing of our day there, was the women’s restroom. There was not a single square of toilet paper in either stall, and really dirty (not messy — DIRTY). The floors were sticky, the toilets hadn’t been cleaned, mirror covered with splatter marks. I could understand had this been near closing time on a busy gig night, but this was only a couple hours after they opened for the day.
We will definitely come back!

Great food, great service, and great craft beer selection. What more can you ask for? We love this place!

Our second time here. The first was much better. I’m only reviewing the food. Not the bar or nightlife. Probably should not eat here. 2 out of 5 in our group got sick and spent a day recovering. The not so funny thing is the one person who said something about cleanliness being questionable was one of the two. Drink and dance! Don’t eat here. We did let them know about it and they offered free food. That might just define insanity.

Shakira… awesome bartender who actually gets customer service. Funny, attentive and not over bearing. She made us feel welcome and explained all the specials and why they call it «the boiler room», still not sure why the name change? Awesome place… be back soon when it’s called the Uptown Tavern.

Revalution afoot. See for yourself. New redesign to be a monster local concert venue. Give it love. This town needs a cool big scale concert venue. Meanwhile still fun for food /​drinks as a pub.

You ripped off my friends band last week! Now it’s going viral on FB, etc! Musicians in Southern California have enough crap to deal with, and now there is one more venue that we will be glad to avoid! Your actions will come back to haunt you in the long run!

Don’t waste your time or money here. Beer selection is a joke. Food is average at best that is if they even have what you order.

Great place to spend an evening. Really nice people, huge space, good eats and great selection. Fantastic place to catch some great live music. Really fun place to play if you’re in a band.

Bad experience. Tap beer flat and tastes bad so switch to skunky bottles. Food worse. Too bad was pretty good when it first opened.

Waitress super friendly, Wings are great, Tv’s are everywhere !!! Can’t ask for a whole lot more :)

Out a burgers, out of fish, out of regular coke SERIOUSLY! Waiter/​Bartender definitely had a bad attitude. Not worth my time!

It felt a little weird being at a bar at 9:30 this morning… however, wifey and I were hungry so we came to build our own breakfast burritos
Inside the place is a good size, but some of the main tables are really small… do I really need a lotto slip to fill out during my deal? I think they can do without it
After a few minutes of waiting, our server finally came over to greet us and gave us slips to fill out what we wanted in our burritos to put our order in. About 15 minutes later, our food finally arrived…
I love that they grill their tortillas, but the rest of the burrito was a little bland. The egg seemed a little too wet, and the asada that I got seemed a little too chewy… the red salsa helped a little bit, but not too much.
After our food came, we never saw our waitress again because some friends/​employees walked in to the bar and she got tied up with them. Since we just wanted to leave, my wife went up to bar and just paid our bill. My wife said she liked it, but I’m not sure that I would give this place another shot…

The decreased selection of craft beer and the lack of tap handles is extremely disappointing compared to what they opened this place with. The food is still delicious and very reasonably priced, but their beer selection was definitely the biggest draw for me before…

All I can say is great service, food and drinks They have happy hour 7days a week 12−6pm. The bartender was so nice, she was helping me chose a beer to drink, because they didn’t have blue moon on tap.
The sausage sandwiches were good, the flat bread pizza was good– but just make sure to get bacon on it… I love bacon!
Also Try the Parmesan fries with bacon they were bomb!
This will definitely be a new spot to come too.

Amazing spot for any occasion. I came in for lunch and tried the Cobb salad. AMAZING.
They have 4 pool tables. 47 beers on tap, including exclusive craft beers in the area. An arcade area good for the kids. They allow children since they serve food. 8 TVs with sports on them. A smoking patio. They have live music on the weekends including tribute bands such as WEEZER and JONNY CASH.
We will be back for taco Tuesday. They have all you can eat tacos for $ 5.99! With purchase of a drink.

Meh! We went on a Sunday night around 7pm and we must have got the B staff! I’m sure the A staff works on Friday and Saturday when they are packed!
We went in and sat at a table expecting to be taken care of quickly since there was only about 20 people in the whole place! Once the waitress finally got to us we asked for a beer menu, that took about 10 minutes to get since they were out of a lot of beers from the weekend and wanted to cross off the empty ones.
Once she put in the drink order we could actually watch the bartender look at it, set it down, then walk over and help someone else! Our waitress saw this as well and went behind the bar and poured our drinks for us! She tried but at this point in time it was pretty much a lost cause!
From sit down to drink in hand took close to 20 minutes so instead of having a couple rounds as planned we had one drink and left with no food. We will probably come back for the live music nights, but otherwise we won’t just be stopping in for a drink! I was very disappointed!

I visited Uptown Tavern a couple of times because the idea of a potential past-​midnight hangout spot in this area sounded promising. It’s located on a corner space within a mall area that is really easy to miss if you’re not looking. The place itself is pretty big with tables and a gaming area, so lots of people can crowd it up (the parking lot is limited though).
Whenever I came in, it wasn’t too busy. They have a good beer selection on the taps, so I’ve always had a pint or two. The burgers are good, but not particularly big for the price. Since the burgers don’t come with fries (separate order), I felt like I overpaid, especially when I received a really small portion of fries to accompany the burger during my dine. Also, it seemed like they were still training bartenders to handle the registers because there was an issue with my bill and it took a while to resolve the payment.
If I could justify the value of their food and service, I would be back more often.

The food is like made at home, does not have the greasy «bar» food taste. The blue burger perfectly cook and all the guys loved the sausages.
great band, super entertaining
