This place is another grilled food place with rice and teriyaki sauce. Better than one other similar chain but not close to Top Grill. The sauce is similar to A1 steak sauce and the meat is chopped into small pieces. Taste and quantity is ok but not satisfying. Salad was decent but the fruit slice of orange was dry.

I really like this place. Their food is good, the service is great and they are fairly quick at getting your order out. I will definitely go back.

Restaurant clean and staff very friendly food very good. I had steak chicken broccoli rice cabbage and avocado I was stuffed when I left that place. Also while eating they played the best classic rock I’ve heard in any restaurant, much better than that teeny bopper BS hear elsewhere

Won’t be going back. Went with my son for lunch and order the Rice Bowl with veggies. Turned out to be a virtual copy of Rice King or whatever«Asian bowl» place you can think of with an extra $ 2 tacked on the prices. Supposed to be healthy choices and its just the same over-salted, over-sweet crap as everywhere else. The chicken was chopped into little ¼″ pieces and the beef was chopped so much I thought it might be ground beef. The veggies were inconsistently cooked and the carrots were slices of large«horse carrots» with the white stem part in the middle. I had to drown everything in the hot sauce they had in order to choke it down. Star added because it didn’t make me sick, the place was clean and the service friendly and helpful.

I had only ever tried another location before this one opened. I recently stopped in right before closing. Usually you get the grouchy service since they wanna close yet service was nice. She even recommended avocado which i had never ever been offered it at the other location off clinton keith. I tried it and loved. Have since added it when i came back in today. Anyways all in all good service to go with amazing food!

Neve going back to flame broiler. This was so much better and the bowls are bigger. The chicken and beef looked and tasted of a much higher quality. All of the ingredients were fresh and the guys who worked their were really helpful seeing as it was my first time going.

I had always hoped to find a place that did not ‘add’ sauces, etc to their meal. WaBa Grill gives you the option to leave off their sauce. I try and avoid sauces-personal preference. My husband likes white rice and I like vegetables with my entrée. This place offers both. I love the veggie bowls.(Salmon with veggies is fantastic!!!) The restaurant is clean and inviting. Great place for lunch or dinner.

I would say the food is okay. The price ok. The kitchen has loud chopping sounds of chicken and beef constantanly. If thats not a bother, toss in the big screen TV. Not a whole lot of English being spoken either. Good luck folks

I visited here for the first time today bc there was a sweet deal on my Good Deeds Realty discount card. You buy 1 plate and 2 drinks and get a free bowl. Huge portion sizes and the food was delicious! I will gladly come back. Thanks for hook up on the discount card!

Just stopped in around 1pm, there was only one other customer in there, hooray I beat the lunch rush! My food was ready in 5 minutes after placing my order, I love speedy service so I was incredibly pleased. Food is delicious as always. Only reason for giving 4 stars is because you could tell they were a little short staffed in the front of the house, the girl that was working the register was also trying to mop and she kept having to go back and forth and you could tell it was frustrating for her. I would come back for sure!

I’ve been coming to this location with(my therapy dog, 8lb bichon) who has been professionally trained for 6 months now. They have always welcomed us, of course I provided his certification card etc. on our first visit. I like the freshness and garlic free cooking so I tend to go 3 – 4 times a week. Well today I stopped in as usual and ordered to go. When I paid I was told to go outside with my dog and they would bring it out. I asked why«Breeana» the employee said because the dog was there and hairs can fly etc. This breed is hypoallergenic hello.,. Well I asked for a refund and will never go back.

I was thinking Flame Broiler for lunch today, but decided to give WaBa a chance instead. Inside, the restaurant was super clean and looked very modern. A big plus is that they offer avocado… this time, however, I decided to just do an apples to apples comparison and just ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice. Portion-wise, I think WaBa grill is definitely the winner… however, the red hot sauce killed it for me. Flame Broiler has a tangy sauce with a great vinegar-ish kick to it that I don’t think anybody else has. It’s fantastic! The sauce at WaBa reminds of hot sauce at a Mexican restaurant… just hot. It wasn’t bad, but not what I was expecting and hoping for. They did have other condiments like carrots and green onions that you can grab yourself, which was cool. Overall, I liked it… but I’m almost to my free bowl at Flame Broiler so I’m just gonna keep sticking with them.

Ok, I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place from my friends wanting something fast and healthy . I guess it is that, but not satisfying in the least. I ordered the chicken and salad plate and my son got the steak and rice bowl. Totally boring ! His was steak and white rice only and mine was chicken which appeared to be thigh meat with rice and iceberg lettuce. Lol. No flavor to the chicken and the steak appeared to be minced. Glad I waited this long. Will not be back.

Healthy simple meal that smells good, looks good, and tastes good. Similar to a place I’ve been called the flame broiler but I think this place is better. Customer service was average, the establishment as a whole was average, but like I said once again the food was decent. Not the place to take your first date or anniversary dinner, but is great for lunchtime or a quick easy healthy dinner… This place gets the thumbs up

Went to the Ynez location yesterday and the place is going Ghetto. Dinner plates were not same as pictured, missing a few key ingredients. No strips of chicken, just kibble. Same with the beef, all diced. No green onions, and chicken had old refrigerator taste to it. Sad that my family both burped the aftermath. Place must not be turning over product fast enough to ensure freshness. Hey WaBa, if you advertise with pictures, then you better present the meal exactly as pictured, otherwise it’s Bait and Switch! Needless to say my wife and daughter consumed the meal. If I was there, I would have returned the product! And parents with uncontrollable children, don’t ruin other guests dining experience with your stupidity and lack of parenting skills!

I have to say that I like this place better than The Flame Broiler. This is because I feel like the bowls are bigger than that of The Flame Broiler. Other than the portion size, everything else is pretty much the same as The Flame Broiler. They even have the same hot sauce and teriyaki sauce stations! This place is an upgrade because they also include a green onion/carrot bar on the side which is very nifty! I will definitely come back if I am in the area for relatively healthy and cheap fast food!

My family and I decided to eat here after my mom was in town and wanted to meet up. We went around lunch time and as expected, it was busy, which is a good sign. The place was pretty small and everything seemed tight. As for the food, I thought it was great! I’m not really into this style of food/restaurant but it really surprised me! My wife loves flame broiler and I enjoy it as well. But comparing the two, Waba Grill is way better!

Wow I like this chain but the service was so not friendly. Every associate was pretty much packed up and ready to go at 8:30. I walked in with my family then 2 other people walked in and yet another after that. The service I had was no good then I watched as I waited for my order. No one smiled but most of them rolled their eyes as another order was placed. It was as if a business that is trying to make money did not care about people trying to spend their money. We ordered straight off the menu no modifications at all. Then to top it off they are putting chairs up around us and telling everyone if you need to get a drink do it now we are turning off the machine at 7 till 9. They are not even closed yet. You would think they would be happy to have people spending money there. It saves their job if they make money. It keeps their hours as employees. Their management needs to figure this out if they want to stay open. Not good for a new store front with plenty of options around including flame broiler up the road. Just saying …

We love Waba Grill, service is always very friendly, food is always good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I’m really not a fan of the hot sauce that they offer. It’s extremely hot with lack of flavor. I like spicy but it’s too extreme. Otherwise I love the add on options like the avocado! Quick and healthy!

Truth be told, I have never been to any of the WaBa chain locations before, thus having no preconceptions of the brand. This one is newly opened along Ynez in a small area with dedicated parking spacesuit warning: the whole lot is competitive with the neighboring businesses. I tried the Chicken Bowl, which comes with rice and choice of green onions. The order came out quickly and the service was fine. Though I can think of at least one other place that does this kind of dish better than WaBa, the portion seems okay for the price. Looking at the other options and comparing to rivals, I’m not sure I’d be a regular visitor, but there were a number of patrons dining and this is just another available restaurant to get a meal in the area.
