Lechon Tacos are my favorite. Oven roasted pork meat with cabbage & lime juice. Everything here is filled with flavor. The atmosphere is so welcoming. If you haven’t tried this place TRYIT you won’t be disappointed. Affordable tacos full of flavor!

Quick & decent. Tacos are good to ok depending on what you order. That being said, I spent my 20s getting my taco fixes in L.A. More to come when I have an extra minute.

A local legend! Great tacos although the price continues to go up. A great place for the family and we go here almost every week. I wish they were open all week and hoping they will be open every day during the summer. Always get extra limes and salsa.

Bring cash! Their tacos are super tasty! I got the carne asada, lechon, poc chuc and carnitas, each one was juicy and not too salty. I think my favorite was the lechon. It is an outdoor restaurant, so bring a sweater if you come at night, as I don’t remember there being any heaters. The horchata was a bit on the sweet side, borderline diabeetus, but still tasty. The only gripe that I had about this place is that they skimp on the meat in the tacos. They’re street tacos, so it’s the mini tortilla shells. Usually when I get street tacos, they put enough meat for you to split up the meat into two tacos. My boyfriend also got the carne asada torta, which was disappointing. The meat was dry and cold. Other than that, I think it’s a really good place to eat tacos.

I just drove 10 minutes to a closed taco stand… Screw this place. How about stay open if your Unilocal is going to say you’re open until 11:30pm… WASTEOFTIME. Joke of a restraunt. I’m not sure I’ll ever be back. Why would I drive out of my way to some BS taco stand when I live in the Valley, where taco stands are dime a dozen?

Some of the best tacos I have ever had. One of their best offerings is the poc chuc taco, which is a citrus marinated pork and absolutely delicious. The salsas are fresh and the horchata is fantastic. Badass Tacos is cash only and only open Thursday — Sunday evenings. You won’t regret making the trek.

The hubby and I were in Agoura on a Thursday night and feeling pangs of hunger around 11pm. Agoura turns into a ghost town at that time of night and our food options were limited. Enter Badass Tacos. No frills street tacos that fulfilled our late night hunger. Nothing too special about this place except that it’s unexpected for Thousand Oaks. Setup: Badass Tacos operates out of a section of Meat Locker once it’s closed. You go order at a window and can grab some salsas while you’re waiting for your food to come out. There are some cafeteria style tables to sit at if you’re eating in. A few strings of market lights add some sense of ambiance. Food: We tried the chicken and fish tacos. We hated the fish tacos, they were just way too fishy and not fresh tasting. The chicken was decent, a bit overcooked, but tasty enough. The fish tacos come with sauce and lettuce while the chicken tacos come plain. I added cheese, lettuce, and guacamole to mine for 25 cents which I really felt upped the tasty factor. Their salsas are pretty decent. My favorite was the avocado one. Overall: I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here or crave it or anything, but for a late night hunger strike it hits the spot. Oh and bring cash! That’s all they accept.

CASHONLY. *Rating based on atmosphere & food selection: Parking is very limited; be prepared to walk a bit on a busy night. Lots of choices for beef, chicken, or fish tacos. Tortas and burritos are available, too. *We did not try the food as we did not have cash on hand.

Are you looking for delicious street tacos!!! Look no further. Badass tacos are, as the name implies, Bad ass. Their Salsa bar is packed with 4 different options, including a creamy green salsa, cilantro, two kinds of chopped onions, jalapenos, and radishes. They feature between 6 and 7 different tacos on their menu(my personal favorites are the Lechon –a pork carnitas taco topped with shredded cabbage, and the traditional carne asada taco). Since tacos are only about $ 2.00 each, you can get every taco on the menu without breaking the break the bank. Its CASHONLY though so make sure you stop at the ATM before you get there. These are the best tacos in town! if they were open 7 days a week, I would be there at least 3 of them!

Several years back, I wrote a review for this place. Never imagined how much I would end up loving this place. Since than, my family has eaten here probably more than 50 times and we never get sic of it. The food is always cooked to order and fresh. Without a doubt the best street tacos in town. Moving forward: I wish they would open up a true restaurant space and maybe open up there hours alittle more during the week. The word has gotten out and this place can sure get busy at times now. The prices though are continuing to rise as 1.75 per taco is starting to get alittle high. Eitherway, the food is absolutely delicious and well worth your trip. A well deserved 5 stars…

Amazing tacos! Fresh tasting meat. Many many choices, and even now offering Tortas. They offer fresh salsa which is also a bonus. I have been coming here since they opened and had $ 1 tacos. I have loved coming here over the years but the price raises are killer. I miss the old prices. Only reason not a 5 star. BRINGBACKEVEN $ 1.50TACOS

Badass continues to be excellent. Nothing better than fresh street tacos, cooked perfectly, with fresh tortillas and delicious salsa. They have a thick, spicy avocado sauce with a kick to it that is unrivaled. The newly added fish tacos were given a thumbs up by my wife, who knows from fish tacos. Every time is excellent here, with friendly employees, and a great sense of community. This is the place to try something out of your comfort zone, like lengua or cabeza. I’m having a torta next time. And a couple of tacos.

Great place for a late night snack. Hard to believe that you can find this type of street taco joint in Thousand Oaks. Tacos are good with numerous meat options and a salsa/condiment bar. Nothing fancy, just a few park-type benches on an outdoor patio. Stick to the tacos. The torta was mediocre at best. Prices continue to rise. Tacos were$ 1.00 a year or so ago, now $ 1.75. Before you know it 4 tacos and a drink can cost you almost $ 10.00. They operate after hours at a little BBQ place. Only open Thursday to Sunday. Open 6 to 11 on Thursday and Sunday, but stay open to 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday.

Amazing taco shop! I’m not from the area, but this is my 2nd time visiting this area and 2nd time eating at this taco shop. Everything is made to order and is served hot and flavorful. The tacos are on the smaller side, so I can EASILY eat 4 and be content. My favorite so far is the poc-chuc! I also like that they have a toppings bar, so you can add whatever toppings you want, including red onions, guac sauce, and cilantro. The drinks are self-serve and are delicious! I can’t wait to come back here and eat some more tacos! At $ 1.75 each, where can you find a great quality taco at a really good price?!

I’m used to going to the valley for street tacos but was surprised when my sister told me about this place that was located in Thousand Oaks. We went on a friday night just 30 minutes after they opened and it was starting to get packed. Most of us ordered tacos but my dad ordered a steak torta which looked amazing and won his approval. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 3 chorizo and papa. I loveddd the chorizo and papa that I ordered 2 more after! Surprisingly, they don’t have jamaica BUT they do have aguas fresca like their pineapple one that’s delicious! The prices are cheap and the food is outstanding, definitely worth it! They also have a salsa bar with everything you need! This place is outdoors but they do have outdoor heaters and a small indoor room with limited seating. The wait can get a little long but trust me it’s worth it! A few things to note: — Bring someone to save a table for you because their seating is limited! — They don’t have Jamaica what is up with that?! — Parking is limited to street parking but there is a park nearby where you can park as well. –It’s open late which is nice after a night of drinks! ;) Downside: they are only open Thursday — Sunday from 6:30 pm — 11:30 pm

Tip: cash only! This place is outdoors and food-truck style with a fun casual vibe. They had plenty of seating and adequate lighting. Check out the fresh salsa bar and old fashion glass bottle Coca-Cola on ice. We waited in line for about 10 minutes before we reached the order station. We tried a few different tacos and the Poc chuc was our favorite! We also tried a torta based on some of the reviews on here. There want much meat and it was too much bread for my liking. I’ll stick to the tacos next time!

The Skinny: Badass Tacos are definitely badass. Didn’t think there would be a taco place this side of Ventura County that would rival LA’s. Environment: Fun environment! It is based on the outside of a restaurant and seating is all tented so it feels pretty casual and fun. It feels«authentic» if you really had to put one descriptor to it. Parking may get tough because it does get really crowded. We went on a Thursday night and the lines were around 10 people on average. Service: Not much to say about service because you really just order and go. The drinks are self serve when you pay, and the sauces are self serve. Food: I ordered two types of tacos and a drink. The tacos are typical size, so anywhere from 2 to 4 tacos would be good for a dinner. Carne Asada Taco: The carne asada was cooked pretty good with just the right amount of seasoning and the meat was not too chewy. Pretty standard as far as carne asada tacos go. Lengua Taco: MYGOSH these were amazing!!! The lengua was soft and really flavorful, and the lengua was surprisingly not as greasy as I was expecting. I just had lengua tacos today at another place and they don’t really compare. Lengua tacos at Badass Tacos were amazing. Overall: 4⁄5 For the Ventura area, this place is definitely one of the best and authentic taco places out there. Will definitely come here again.

Finally I can say Late night Food Truck type of Mexican food in Thousand Oaks ;) It’s so good, the crispy edges of carnitas meat in my torta with beans, lettuce, Tomato, Jalapeño Slices, soft bread and I drench that thing between the salsa verde and the spicy hot fire roasted tomato salsa. The tacos also, so flavorful all of the meats are flavorful but I prefer the carnitas meat in the torta. All of the other meats work really good in the tacos. This place is located at the Meat Locker, once that place closes for the night this place sets up, it’s open pretty late too. They also get Mexican sweets set up for purchase from Valley Bakery, they use to be on Thousand Oaks Blvd and have now moved up to Oak Park but you can purchase freshly baked pastries from her at this location.
