Order Salinas thin crust pizzas on a weekly basis, the pizza is a 8.5÷10, the price however even after coupons is overpriced in my opinion. Recommend the pizza if you like Chicago style thin, one of top 3 in Tinley park area. Wish they’d offer steeper discounts on multiple pizzas. The other top pizza joints are a little cheaper. But a must try pizza nonetheless. Lose a star for pricing.

Great pizza! There are some good places in the area but Salina’s flys under the radar by being a catering and event equipment rental place as well. They do a great thin crust and a good stuffed crust too. Great deals especially Friday nights if you pick your pizza up. I would put Salina’s up against any of the local competition. You cannot beat the quality for the price. I have never personally used the catering service or equipment rental. I have eaten at a few events that have used Salina’s and the food was good.

We used Salina’s catering services for a small party at our home. The food was absolutely phenomenal! I must also add that I feel their prices are very fair. Everyone at our party kept raving about the bacon wrapped water chestnuts, the chicken Marsala, and the meatballs. Everything on their assorted dessert tray was a hit. I could go on and on– it was all just so very good. Delivery was on time and they even set everything up! My event was stress free and a complete success thanks to the catering by Salina’s!!!

This review is strictly for table and chair rentals. We placed an order for some chairs and tables. Our party was on Saturday. I was called on Wednesday and was told that our rentals would be delivered on Thursday. We waited all day Thursday for the delivery. I called all morning to get a time frame when they would be delivered. Finally got a return call and was assured that the rentals would be delivered on Thursday, but according to their contract agreement, they could not give a definite time when it would be delivered. By 8pm, no delivery. I called to check the status and the person I spoke with said that the trucks finished delivering for the day and my rentals were on the truck for a Friday delivery. In the contract, I had requested a Friday delivery, but assumed that the request was not granted since they called me prior about a Thursday delivery. Friday— I called Salinas in the morning to confirm that the rentals would be delivered that day. They confirmed and told me that the rentals would be coming that day and would be picked up on Sunday. They arrived on Friday, but never came to pick up the rentals on Sunday. I called on Sunday to ask about the pickup and was told that there were 3 trucks making their way for pickups and most likely it would be picked up that day. No pickup… They came to pickup on Monday morning. All in all, communication with this company is horrible. They can never give you a straight answer or arrive when planned. I will not be renting from them in the future.

DONOTGETCHEESENUGGETSFROMHERE! Worst possible thing, always undercooked, very thin crust? And cold sauce?

We have ordered from Salina’s for years, but after my recent delivery experience, I just had to write a great review! First off, it’s a great pizza at a great value. Inexpensive, but the quality is well above par. They offer 3 *free* ingredients: extra sauce, garlic, and basil. Get your next pizza with all 3! Awesome for a meat free option. Last Friday I had a party with about 10 people, and ordered from Salina’s online ordering site a few days beforehand(looks simple, but it can be a little confusing navigating the menu) I *had called them to ask what the delivery charge would be for 2 trays of food and a pizza 2 miles away. I was told $ 16.50. Yes, $ 16.50, you read that correctly. I immediately chose to pick the food up instead. But at the end of the ordering process online, delivery charge came to $ 2.50! I was pretty stoked about that, so I picked a 7:15pm delivery time. For a tray of 24 pcs of Baked chicken(great to have the choices of fried, baked, or BBQ) a large tray of their signature salad, and their largest thin crust pizza(cheese plus those 3 free ingredients) ALL of that, plus tax and delivery came to less than $ 90! Fast forward to Friday night, food was delivered at 7:20pm(pretty prompt in my book!) all at the perfect and appropriate temperatures. Delivery driver was very professional and overly nice, even apologized for the 5 minute delay. Wow. Great guy! I was told that the baked chicken was phenomenal, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Salad was fresh, crispy and cold. Pizza was awesome as usual. All in all, this was a great choice in food for a party of 10. Had pizza leftovers, half the tray of salad, and half the tray of chicken left over! Any good hostess knows, ya never want to end a party with no food left and guests that are still hungry. Everyone was satisfied and happy. I can’t help but think how much more it would’ve cost if we had all gone out to a restaurant to eat. I’m guessing ALOT more than $ 90! Can’t say enough good things about this establishment… thank you Salina’s!

Ordered 64PC fried chicken, spinach strawberry salad and the cucumber onion salad to serve at a wake at a nearby funeral home. All was excellent! Chicken was moist, spinach salad was beautiful and cuc salad perfect — sliced thin. Kids and adults were all buzzing about the chicken. Thank you Salinas for providing some happiness and comfort during a difficult time.

I used to be a huge Salinas fan, but it seems like ever since they changed locations, the quality has been declining. And, when Potsys Pizza closed, Salinas bought their phone number(pretty smart move.) I was pretty happy when I learned that they were also adding Potsys signature Cheese Nugget to their menu. At first, it was on point, maybe even better than Potsys. But, I ordered it last night, and there was only cheese in the middle of it. It was like weirdly dried up around the edges. It’s a bummer because it has the potential to be so amazing, but it just seems like they don’t care anymore.

Was planning a birthday party for my wife, I usually do the cooking on the grill but decided to try something different. I hit a home run with Salinas. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. My guests and even my neighbor were super impressed with everything, some even comparing the meatballs to the kind there grandmother used to make. Thank goodness we live across the street from the restaurant, will definitely be using them again.

Unfortunately Unilocal doesn’t break out categories so I’ll do my best to explain. If the system would let me I’d lean closer to a 3 ½ stars but not quite. As a day traveler the Unilocal review wasn’t clear that there really was no ‘seating’(or other amenities such as public restrooms) for the restaurant because really it isn’t a sit down restaurant. Rather it’s a catering business that also does ice cream and pizza. The customer service area is clean but small and really unwelcoming for anyone not grabbing a quick ice cream or carry out order. The young lady who waited on us was friendly but seemed really uninterested especially when we asked if there was seating, aside from the 4 bar stools. She told us that was it and handed us some literature saying there was coupons on it then took our order but then my wife had to point out we wanted to use one of the coupons she handed us. The pizza was made and out to us taking a little longer than expected but not bad in regard to time. The«super thin» didn’t appear to be what I expected rather it almost looked close to a hand toss but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was hot and the toppings were generous. The flavor was superb which would have earned 4.5 stars on its own. It was a bit greasy from the peperoni and it didn’t bother me a bit. So, if you live local and are looking for catering ignore this review and look at the other catering reviews. This is what I should’ve noticed about the reviews, all the others are catering. If your looking for delivery pizza, the pie is worth the try. But, if you’re passing through looking for a place to sit down and enjoy a meal before hitting the road again, this should probably be one of the lower options.

My husband and I had recently moved to the Tinley area, and we were looking for a place that does catering for our housewarming party. We came across Salinas, not knowing much about it. We ordered beef, chicken and the whole works, and the food was phenomenal. Everything was so organized and professional, and when it was delivered, they included everything needed to host our event. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The people were pleasant upon placing the order, very flexible and we are still eating our leftovers from this past weekend. Again, the food was fantastic.

We had our daughter’s high school graduation party on Saturday, July 27th, 2013. After MUCH shopping around to compare catering and tents with tables and chairs and looking for high-school or college-aged kids to help out with set up and clean up, I called Salina’s. The reviews for Salina’s food have ALWAYS been great! So I thought, I probably won’t be able to afford this, but. .. here goes. Barb could not have been any nicer or more helpful and she seemed to understand my frustration with shopping around. The price for all of the rentals: 20×30 tent, 10 tables and 80 chairs along with catering of 2 entrees, 3 sides, and 2 staff for 7 hours; the price was more reasonable than some of the restaurants wanted just to cater the food! And, once I agreed to the terms and the contract, I had NOTHING left to worry about except for the 100+ people I had coming in from all over the country and the world and making them all comfortable. Honestly, I will never go anywhere else again. They were wonderful at every point! Thank you, Barb and staff! You have a customer for life! Kim Pavlik Frankfort, IL

This review is for the catering. My bff Tony G just had his annual summer blowout and had the catering from Salinas. The food was very good. Whole pig. The pig was moist and cooked properly. I then noticed the head of the little piggy just sitting on the carving table. I asked the carver if I could have both of the cheeks. The caver sliced off both cheeks and gave them to me as my children looked in horror. I powered down the yummy pork goodness. I also had the cucumber salad and a grilled chicken. They were all good. The servers did a good job cleaning up the mess. When they left you couldnt even tell they were there. Overall good food and nice people.

Best pizza in the Southland by far! Their catering is affordable and portions are generous. Must– try favorites: bacon cheddar potatoes, fried chicken, Italian Beef. Also they have lots of rental items available to make hosting a big event easy!

I called up Salina’s, when looking for caterers for our upcoming wedding. (it seems like EVERY post has to do with the wedding) Well, I was looking around, already actually choosing someone, before I got the AMAZING idea to shop around for caterers. I email them on a Sunday morning, asking them what they had to offer for weddings. They got back to me that same night, and I talked to Barb about what I was looking for, our budget, etc. She was pretty awesome. I was able to ask all the questions, and she answered them like it was a joy for her. She then wrote up a custom quote for us, what it would cost for food, and delivery, and emailed to me on Tuesday(they’re closed on Monday) We were even able to set up a tasting for later in the month Compare that to another local caterer, who was given high marks, who’s customer service was crap. If I ask for a quote, I want a custom quote… not your catering links. Salina’s gave me that. Their customer service is great, and I’ll update this when we actually get to taste their food… so I hope that’s as good as their people skills… **I just read a ONESTAR review about Salina’s…why would someone order a BACONCHEESEBURGER from an ITALIANRESTAURANT in the first place??**
