Thin pizza. Excellent taste. Lots of choices. Fast service. Have only tried the pizza. They have lasagna and salads too

A delicious surprise. ZaZa’s Brick Oven Pizza & Mediterranean restaurant is fantastic! After a very long second leg of our road trip, we stopped in Toledo, OH for the night. The warm, comfortable interior and friendly staff were immediately welcoming. We ordered the pizza special, the chicken diavolo pizza. This pizza was balanced, slightly spicy and very very tasty. Made with chicken, hot sauce, capers, sundries tomatoes and cheese, this pizza had just the right savory balance highlighted by the sweetness of the sundries tomatoes and briny capers. We left nothing to take home we enjoyed it so much. In addition to the pizza, we ordered a Greek salad, which was fresh and delicious, and ample. ZaZa’s is a recommended restaurant when you pass through Toledo, OH.

Love the crust of the wood fire, but the sauce wasn’t to my taste. Fast & friendly staff.

Cute pizza shop. I’m a sucker for wood fired pizza. Did the create your own option. Great flavor. My only complaint is there could have been more toppings on my pizza.

Hands down, the best Pizza in Toledo. Their ingredients are fresh, the food is to die for, and the customer service was the best I’ve experienced at any Pizzeria. And did I mention well priced?! I am definitely a pizza snob, I enjoy damn good Italian food, which pretty much means every chain(Pizza Hut, The Olive Garden, etc) are out of the question. ZaZa’s, while being world’s above those crappy places, was still as well priced and just as quick to boot! I recently moved across the country, and I miss this place most out of any restaurant in the area, and that’s including Mancy’s, Mancy’s Italian, and any other comparable high class eatery. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!

Hands down theeee best gourmet wood fire pizza for the price. You can get a pie and two drinks for fifteen bucks, great place for a cheap date. The reason I got turned on to this place is because one of my friends spends half of his paycheck there and I see why. I got the thin crust BBQ chicken which I think my date liked it more than I did. Who doesnt like a girl who likes pizza. I would like to go back and try other things besides pizza on their menu.

We ordered the Speck and Ricotta Spinachi. Both pizza’s were very tasty. Completely different flavors. They have lots of different flavors to choose from for the individual pizzas. They are large enough to fill me and my wife. They also offer other Mediterranean dishes including gyro’s and shawarma. This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then sit down and they bring the food to your table. I recommend this place for a good causal dinner.

Actually i will give 2.5 stars. Service was very quick and courteous. The lintel soup: bland and a tad chalky, i can say this because i have had both very good and bad lintel soup, and this was on the lower end. The fatoosh salad: i have never had a garden salad with pita chips and greek dressing before, oh wait, i have, but it was no one ever attempted to pass it off as fatoosh. Again i have had fatoosh and this was not it, also the dressing had that bitter tang of bottled lemon, i can accept that, but you need to consider your cost savings in my cost spendings. And lastly the pizza. Pizza is a deeply personal thing, but this failed on all the basics. The dough was hard(over worked) and flavorless. The sauce, also flavorless, to the point of not even being noticeable, which i suppose is better than tasting bad. My biggest regret is the calories i used out of my diet eating flavorless carbs. The upside is that if you are hungry, it is food and it is not offensive. To say this place is the best in city is a truly flawed statement, i would say that any chain pizzeria, with the exception of little ceasars, is a far cry better. I will try again, with daughter or GF, to verify, but until then i guess i say buyer beware.

I’ve been on a quest to find a delicious gyro in the city of Toledo. I’ve been to a couple restaurants where they’re good, but something isn’t perfect — way too big to try to eat with your hands, tough pita, etc. I’ve heard about Zaza for a while now, but it wasn’t until we dropped off something at the UPS Store next door that I noticed a sign in their window advertising gyros. There are lots of reviews for Zaza’s pizza, hummus, and falafel but nothing about their gyros. This past Sunday, I decided to give Zaza’s a try. I ordered the gyro platter, which comes with fries or rice, and soup or side salad. I opted for the rice and side salad. The gyro sandwich was fantastic! A generous portion of meat without being overwhelming, crisp onion, fresh tomato, and tzaziki sauce on the side. The bread was warm, pillowy, and delicious. The rice and side salad were OK but not really needed given the perfect size of the gyro. I was very disappointed with the salad dressing and ended up not even using it. Next time, I’ll just get the gyro on its own. Altogether, I may have found one of the best gyros in Toledo! If you’re a fan of gyros, give Zaza’s a try!

Full marks to ambience and friendly staff. The pizza was thin crust which I personally like and isn’t expensive. The place has a high variety of vegetarian options. But, it lacked the flavor and the texture that usually comes with the Italian thin crust pizzas and was short on the sauce. Not the best pizza I’ve had but I will go back to try more.

My buddy ordered the margarita pizza, it tasted like tomato soup on bread, barely any basil on it either. You could get a better pizza frozen and bought from a store. I ordered the shwarma platter, it was flavorless and you have to pay extra for the garlic sauce? It came with lettuce… I mean salad and fries that reminded me of the homemade fries mom used to make(pretty decent). My other friend got a small order of hummus, it was good but nothing special. If you want great wood fire oven cooked pizza go to 5th Street Pub in Perrysburg, skip this place. I’m sorry, and I’m not usually this harsh, but it just tasted cheap and I’m not sure what the hype is all about.

I will start by saying the atmosphere was nice. Service person was quite friendly. The hummus was alright, but not the best I have had. The pizza I ordered, which was the margherita pizza, was not very good at all. It was like eating tomato soup on pita bread. If you want a really good wood fired oven baked pizza, 5th street in Perrysburg is the way to go. Don’t bother with this place.

ZaZa’s is good, but not great. I give them 3 stars mainly on principle because they actually have a real pizza/coal oven. Toledo is infamous for thinking the only way to cook a pizza is on a conveyor belt, I think it comes from the fact that Toledo is a factory town and everyone thinks if it comes off a conveyor belt it must be good. ZaZa’s only has one size of pizza, why? That is beyond me. The cheese is as fresh as pre-shredded mozzarella can be, not great and not as bad as Sysco. The sauce has good flavor but it’s on the thin/watery side which doesn’t do well on very thin crust no matter how crisp it is when it’s fresh out of an 800 degree oven. The dough has a good combination of crispy and chewy but it’s kind of negated by the sauce which has a habit of making the dough slightly soggy after it sits on the table for more than 10 minutes. The toppings are good but don’t expect real pepperoni as it’s all beef. Some people might like that, but if you’re a traditional pepperoni fan this isn’t that. At the end of the day, it’s good but it’s slightly expensive for what you get. Disappointed because they have the right tools to make a perfect pizza but fall short. If they’d only give Homeslice their oven then maybe that place could make a REAL New York style pizza.

pizza crust is super thin, prices not too bad but definitely more expensive then pizza hut. i say: in Zaza you will pay for quality ! it worth it. i did surprise party for my daughter at their location, cook, waitress, and owner were very friendly and helpful. the reason that i put 4 and not 5 stars is: i didnt like that drinks were too expensive and hummus with pitas werent fresh. otherwise i loved everything about it. i would recommend this place for sure.

Great Catering Experience. I needed to arrange catering for a group of 25 with only a few weeks notice. I sent an email to the Contact on their web site and they replied quickly and were able to give me very good advice on the volume and selection of appetizers, salads, pizza, and pasta. The lunch went perfectly. I was concerned about scheduling since I did not have access to the room early for set up. They delivered the food exactly on time and stayed to help me set it up as quickly as possible. The group was familiar with ZaZa and this gave them a chance to try new items. I could not have asked for a better experience and I will definitely be calling them again.

Best pizza in Toledo. Every time I come to visit family, my brother takes me to this place. We leave stuffed. Wish we had one in Charleston! I love the margarita pizza and fatoosh salad. Can’t beat it!

I come to Toledo quite a bit to visit my sister and this place is a staple of each visit. The crust is excellent and their sauce is very flavorful. This is the place that finally sold me on vegan pizza. I only liked the ones I make at home until I started getting the one at Zaza. It is really good.

First time here. Ordered three different pizza’s and lentil soup. The place is very nice. Casual atmosphere. Setup kind of like five guys. You order, take number, grab your drink and silver wear then sit at any table. Restaurant is very clean, the service was very friendly and helpful. Soup was very flavorful. Pizza was fresh, thin, toppings were the perfect amount. Menu had all kinds of different pizza’s(all meat toppings were either beef or turkey base) salads and Mediterranean dishes. I’ll definitely come back here again.
