Great breakfast and coffee spot near the State House and downtown sites. Spacious, comfortable seating, bright and airy, friendly staff.

Heard great things and had a few gift certificates. Popped in for lunch with three of us. The counter help was not that patient with us for being new customers. We didn’t know the routine of getting drinks, etc. The sandwiches were just OK. Nothing special. It was hard for us to have a conversation with an older person because the dining area is very loud. Worth the money, but probably not the drive downtown for us.

Absolutely fantastic service, coffee and food! This was my first time here and I, unfortunately walked in minutes before closing. The owner went out of her way to complete my order and was kind through it all! The atmosphere is great and definitely my new favorite coffee shop in Topeka!!!

This place is great for breakfast & lunch. I don’t drink coffee so I like the smoothies and iced teas. Sandwiches are made fresh & are excellent. Great service & staff too

Yummy homemade breakfast sandwiches! Good pastries! Coffee frappé, does not taste like a fresh press coffee frappé, it is made from powder. But, it’s a deli, not a coffee shop.

The atmosphere is cool(the building this restaurant is in is amazing), the coffee is good, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a panini and it came out like a grilled cheese sandwich which made me think they have paninis on their menu, but didn’t bother to buy a panini maker. Staff is usually pretty helpful and friendly, so that is a plus.

Located downtown and fairly easy to miss. It is right underneath the Gizmo Pictures sign along 8th street, just East of Kansas Ave. The building is old and has character. Quite a few people working downtown come here for lunch. It would be a good location for a working business lunch. They have ample seating and service is pretty fast. The coffee selection is quite good. They serve reasonably priced breakfast items. The lunch items are of the soup/salad/sandwich variety are are usually fresh. Paninis, pitas, and wraps are served from 11 to 3pm.

Best mocha I’ve had in Topeka, so far. Good location in beautiful building. Prices are about average for this area.

Quaint plainly decorated coffee shop on the kinda second floor in an older downtown building. 4 or 5 choices of coffee as well as plain or flavored creamer. The dark roast was an excellent cuppa ‘mean caffeine’ served in your choice from an eclectic selection of ceramic mugs and included one refill. Pumpkin muffins had a nice pumpkin spice flavor but were dry and hard to swallow. Though we didn’t notice on signage(if it was there) the check indicated they were ‘yesterday’s’ muffins. Egg, pepper and onion scramble was cooked just right. Served with a mild salsa, it was excellent. Tables and chairs are a variety of sets, matched and mismatched for a unique ambiance. Every table had a different set of fun S&P shakers as well. Wall décor included all forms of early americana signs, aprons and product containers. A nice, welcoming place, though rather steep entry steps require some care and attention to ascend and descend and may discourage some. All in all, pretty cool joint.

Lovely café. Exactly the right amount of continental flair, menu variety, price, atmosphere, and attentive service that makes a stellar café. I’ve only been once. I may come back and add a star. One drawback is the short hike up the steep stairs.

I won a $ 10 gift card to Juli’s and decided to check it out with my mom while we did some(home)work. Good service, great food, tea, and coffee, and wonderful atmosphere. We love the wide open space and outlets at every table! The handcrafted soaps are cute(love that they have samples in the bathroom). Wish they were open on Sundays!

Love the atmosphere. Love the breakfast. Love the lunch items. Love the deserts. Love the lattes. On my many occasions either popping in or grabbing something to go, I found the staff to be über friendly and helpful.

Juli’s is one of the few good restaurants in downtown. It’s a very good lunch spot and has good sandwiches. They also have good soup and salads. If you’re in Topeka, definitely stop here. The service is also great.

I want to say Juli’s is an Okay coffee shop. They have always had good coffee and have done a wonderful job of taking over the old planet café. On The other hand, I feel like there is an arrogance about this place. I feel as though they feel I should be privileged to be purchasing their coffee. And to me, that’s not a winning attitude.

Friendly place with good friendly service. A bit off the main drag in downtown Topeka so many don’t know about it. Neat old building and atmosphere they could play up a bit more. Good lunch, good drinks. If you have been disappointed with the Classic Bean(as so many have been) and you’re looking for a nice coffee and lunch place, this is for you.

A great addition to downtown Topeka without being overwhelmingly excellent about anything. The Thai salad has a good peanut sauce and the sandwiches are perfectly fine. The«chips or pasta salad» choice of sides simplifies things for the kitchen but leaves something to be desired for the lunch customer. The daily specials can be competent without being fantastically wonderful. Their better meal is likely breakfast, but no coffee excellentness so still only a qualified win. Nice folks, especially the proprietor. Nice dining room. Spacious. Basically the downtown Topeka version of a cool little café, just without the excellent eats or coffee. Be glad it’s here.

Drink + Food Ordered— white chocolate frap + chicken pesto sandwich. Both very pleasing to the palate! Wish I could’ve been in town longer to try their latte and other other menu items Atmosphere is great! Would go here again next time I pass through.

Love the atmosphere in Juli’s Coffee and Bistro, fun trendy decorations that compliment the historic feel to the Crane building make for a very comfortable experience. The coffee and treats that I get there are always top notch and I can spend hours relaxing, listening to the music and using the free Wifi. Visit for yourself and see, you’re going to love it!

I have been a fan of Juli’s from her Huntoon location, and the new downtown venue is even nicer. It’s much bigger and more open and will eventually have a great banquet space. My favorite is always the Cattle Club, but ask for it with Juli’s Bistro Sauce instead of mayo. It’s a roast beef sandwich with bacon, cheddar, lettuce and tomato on wheat toast. Yum! For something different, I also like the Grilled Cheese with Granny Smith Apples. The tangy apples with the sharp cheddar are a great combo.
