Boy did I have a ringer of a time checking in, the reason for two stars. Firstly, I stepped into a mud pit in the parking lot, in the grass, next to the curb. I stepped in it so hard, my calf sank! Thankfully I didn’t break any bones, but my shoes and socks were SOAKED in mud! The hotel offered to get my shoes and socks dry-cleaned, but I am not sure if they would’ve been able to accomplish anything since I arrived at 8PM and had to check out around 8:30AM the next day. Luckily my Adidas honey low shoes washed off the mud with no problems thanks to the hotel’s EXTREMELY hot water in the kitchen sink! I did have to throw away the socks though, which was a bummer. I digress. Before I could even get to the kitchen sink, I had to get a room. The first room was smoking. The second room had someone in it. Third time’s a charm! Free wifi, parking, and breakfast are available, but unfortunately I cannot for the life of me remember breakfast. I am typically REALLY good about remembering food(it’s one of my passions!), but I am at a loss this time despite staying here only 2.5 weeks ago. I guess that’s an indication on how unmemorable the food was! This Residence Inn is your typical Residence Inn, but I have been to nicer locations, e.g. a Portland location having an oven. I also am not a fan of the Marriott rewards program because it takes too many points for a free stay in popular cities(Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, New York City, etc), and there’s no cash + points option like Hilton or SPG. I have now learned my lesson. If I want to stay at the only Hilton property in Topeka, book earlier! RMCHARGE $ 169.00 STATEOCCUPANCYTAX $ 15.46 CITYTAX $ 11.83 TOTAL $ 196.29

Stayed here after the Jeff Dunham concert. Pleasant and helpful staff. Hot breakfast with a good selection of items including 3 types of juices, sausage, eggs, French toast, fresh Belgium waffles, muffins, bagel, yogurt and more… Room was amazing even more so for the price of 85 dollars

I was here for a week on business and thought that it was very pleasant stay. Compared with other residence inns, there’s nothing outstanding about this location, but it’s probably one of the best hotels in Topeka that you’ll find. If I had the option, I would give this place 3.5 stars. The one major criticism that I would have of the hotel is that it’s not great since it is behind a shopping center and a bit difficult to get to. The room amenities at the hotel were great and made the stay very comfortable and clean. However, since it is near an interstate some noise does make it through to the bedroom. The fitness center is on the small side, but presence of a pool and hot tub makes up for this. Overall, I would say that this is a great place to stay in Topeka.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. They offer a breakfast in the morning which was your typical hotel meal. Scrambled eggs, hash brown cakes, sausage, French toast, waffles and yogurt options. All were ok. Staff were polite. This residence in has a basketball hoop if you are here for a longer stay The rooms have full kitchen and sofa turns out to a bed

Disappointed, but unsure where to begin this review(1.5 star hotel). First, our room was not ready during check in. Second, the hotel elevator is a joke. Third, the sheets in the second bedroom was dirty.(Housekeeping changed the linen in the bed). Fourth, the room had bugs on the walls and the rooms need a good cleaning from top to bottom. The hotel looks somewhat updated but needs at little TLC. The gym was cool and the breakfast was nothing special. I am never staying here again and would not recommend this hotel to others traveling through Topeka, KS.

We enjoyed this Residence Inn. The assistant manger and staff were very nice and make this location extra special. We didn’t get into the pool or hot tub but we did walk into the room and it seemed clean and inviting. The morning breakfast was adequate and they kept it nicely stocked with eggs, make your own waffles, yogurt, bagels. The only part of the room that I noticed was lacking was there was no desk for working but not a deal breaker by any means. Location for this place was also great it is next to tons of places to eat and a walmart right across the street. I will make it a point to stay again when I’m in the area.

Nothing bad… nothing particularly noteworthy. Clean and quiet… not as homey feeling as the Homewood suites but the appliances in our rooms are definitely shiney and new. Close to the 470, I-70 and lots of food options if you are here for a long or short stay. Upside is Marriott rewards status… affordably proced as well.
