This place doesn’t deserve 1 star. After being in a car, funeral visitation, then with family for a while, my sister & I checked in. Reservations were made online. No one else checking in at the same time, should’ve been in & out. Almost 10 minutes later, we were headed to our room. A/c off, just a fan on, over 80 outside, took forever to get the room cooled off. There were no waste baskets in the room, guess we were supposed to throw used tissues on the floor. Couldn’t dump the coffee grounds on the floor since the glass carafe was broken, so couldn’t use that. We killed at least 10 ants in the room, all over, bathroom, bed, vanity, nightstand… Went in, to take a shower, looked down, and there were black marks on the shower floor.hmmmmm. After shower, getting things ready for early morning, funeral. Went to crawl into bed, looked at my feet, and they were literally BLACK! BLACK! I took the wet washcloth and scrubbed my feet, showed it to my sister. Disgusting! Called the desk upon arriving in our room, …had to do it twice, since the static was so bad on the house phone, it wouldn’t call through! Finally called the desk, and asked for 1 more bath towel, and wastebaskets. I had to EXPLAIN to him what a wastebasket was! The goofball who was at the desk came up with the towel, and told us there were wastebaskets in every room. We said, nope, every place we’ve ever stayed had 2 baskets in the room, and there werent any. He came into the room, after asking, looked around, spotted the little liner bag for the ICEBUCKET, and tried to tell us the freaking ice bucket was the wastebasket. I told him that it was indeed an ice bucket, and he said well, there’s a trash bag on it, it was for trash. I said no, it was to keep the ice sanitary. When he came back with A wastebasket, he told us he took it out of a room that was out of service. Too bad the lazy goof didnt EMPTYit first! He brought us a wastebasket with someone elses garbage in it! Geeze where did they find this goof?(I’m being polite) The mattress on both beds were horrible, soft and saggy. Duvet was lumpy, texture off the ceiling in 1⁄3 of the shower, couldn’t get cold water to get a drink. how many bad things must I list? Never again!

Friendly service, free breakfast, clean & comfortable rooms. Only thing we were disappointed by was that they didn’t mention anywhere that the outdoor pool doesn’t open until Labor Day weekend. Which was a total shock to us seeing that it was in Kansas(which is about a month or more ahead of Wisconsin) which usually doesn’t open pools until Memorial Weekend.

Clean place. Nice staff. I used my «Verizon rewards» towards the cost which means it was prepaid. The staff was a little un knowledgable about how it works and would have charged me again if I didn’t catch it.

Always clean and good service, but the WiFi didn’t work the 2 days I stayed last, so couldn’t get any work done. Is a requirement for me to stay, so will have to stay somewhere else next time. If you do not need WiFi, then it’s a great place to stay.

Surprisingly pleasant. Didn’t want to stay here, but it turned out to be a winner.

My son and I checked in after a long day of driving and just wanted to sleep and get back on the road early. Someone made this recommendation to us while we were eating dinner. It’s not fancy… but the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and price was right(imho)! These are the three keys for me. They were also a ‘green’ hotel — had recycling bin in the room, towel options(if we were staying for more than one night), etc. I liked that the shower had two controls — one for water temperature; one for the strength of the water flow. The latter is a big deal to me as I don’t need to be power-washed in the morning — I prefer a gentler shower and this control enabled me to control this.
