Great place to stop while visiting Topeka, KS!

Had the KC strip and it was FANTASTIC!
However, I thought the KC strip had the bone in it and the NY strip did not.
Service match the food.
Definitely will be back the next time I’m in town.

I did a call ahead. When I arrived at the location, there was no organization with the guest line. I was told I had to wait at the end of the line, just to give them my call ahead confirmation number and receive my wait counter. They need some kind of organization with there guest line.

We really enjoyed our meal here. There was a very short way, but we decided to sit at the bar and eat. The bartender was really great. She was very attentive throughout our whole meal. We had tater skins for an appetizer which were very good, and they weren’t expensive either. Less than $ 6. The free bread was excellent – hot out of the oven. We both ordered chicken — mushroom chicken and a BBQ chicken sandwich. Generous portions leaving lots of left overs. No complaints!

Such a great place to eat! Love their rolls and cinnamon butter and house salads! Some of our favorite entrees are the; steak and ribs, steak kabobs, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
If you don’t like country music or watching line dancing, lol they do it about every half hour.
Highly recommend call ahead seating, it’s a busy place! We prepared to wait, if you don’t call ahead.

Excellent service by Brooklyn! Food came out quickly and she even heated my husbands’ grandmas coffee mug with hot water before she poured the coffee in it to keep it hotter longer.

Second visit while spending Six weeks in Topeka.
Being from Houston this makes me feel right at home.
Outstanding hospitality by entire staff starting at front door all the way to table and ordering delivering appetizer and entrée.
Great job to staff and management for making my visit memorable. Server Tay was great too.

This place should get 6 stars for its meals. The sirloin steak was better than we have had in any steak restaurant including the higher end places. Everything was excellent including the salad potato and the rolls. I wish there was one near each part of the country that I live. On our return trip east we are going to schedule our arrival at this location during the dinner hour. At 5PM is was very busy but only because of the ouality and value!

We are from PDX so we enjoy great food, I have to say the food was surprisingly good. Steak was cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and attentive. We were there on a Wednesday evening and they were really busy but we only waited 15 min for a table. Downsides are the noise level and they bring the food quickly without time to enjoy the appetizer, before salad, before the entrée. So turning the tables is a priority, and likely how they keep the prices very reasonable.

Excellent service, beautiful country environment. Best bread as entry ever; Better than Outbacks, Longhorn, Olive Garden, etc. Its super soft warm and sweet and the butter taste to cinnamon.

Love the rolls, nuts, and snake bites. Always great service, friendly family atmosphere.

My wife and I used to love this place. Not sure if they changed chefs or what, but in recent months the food has been terrible. The only good parts are the still fantastic dinner rolls you get for free and the unique atmosphere. We thought at first maybe it was just a bad night, but the food was the same 3 visits in a row. Too bad.

THE BEST CHAIN RESTARAUNT ON THE PLANET
If you have a list of restaraunts and Texas Roadhouse is on the list (which it should be), go there! 10 times out of 10. This place knows not only how to cook and prepare food well, but they definitely take care of their customers.
I have been to Texas Roadhouse multiple times, and a few times in Topeka. Every experience was wonderful. The waitress/​waitresses are always very polite and very attentive to what you need. Their wait staff is incredible, they seem very happy to have that job, which probably has alot to do with their quality service.
The enviroment, in case you did not know, is a little bit loud, but not obnoxiously. There is usually a wait on the weekends, but thats not typical because it is so busy all the time there. Definitely worth waiting 10 – 15 minutes for a table.
And the food, the FOOD! My personal opinion, Texas Roadhouse has better steaks than Longhorn, and to top it off, they are a little less expensive. To start you off, they have these amazing warm rolls, and they serve it with cinnamon butter, which literally puts your taste buds on another dimension.
For steak, they are all amazing, i would reccomend the Fort Worth Ribeye, medium rare. Very tender and just full of flavor.
Overall, whichever Texas Roadhouse you go to, the experience will be consistently amazing.

WE LOVE TEXAS ROADHOUSE!
When we go to Texas Roadhouse, we hope that there is a wait, because we enjoy sitting in the waiting area to crack peanuts and chat. It’s fun. Doesn’t even feel like we’re waiting for anything.
The environment, the staff, the food, everything is top notch! Highly recommended! Prices are great too.

We went here for my grandma’s 90^th birthday ‘after party’. I won’t go into the details of the Roadhouse because it is true to form of every other Texas Roadhouse nationwide with the peanuts, cinnamon butter, staff line dancing etc. Unless they’re doing a really shoddy job I think the thing that separates these massive corporate restaurant chains is the food.
The food was good and the price was right for steak. I recommend the mashed potatoes and asparagus as sides though if you want a salad the ‘side salad’ is quite large and not just near-​turn iceberg lettuce. Overall, this is the best place to get steak (other than the butcher) in Topeka. Whenever visiting family in Top town I am down with some Texas Roadhouse.

Literally the nicest wait staff I’ve encountered in a long time. Walked down from my Hampton Inn. The manager must be on top of it or the employees just love their jobs. Sat at the bar. Alex and Tiffany were tag-​teaming. They remembered my name even with a packed bar. Not just my name but everyone’s. Sure, they wrote it down but that actually goes a long way. I travel for my job and the overall level of service in the US needs serious attention. An experience like this shouldn’t be rare but it is. Chain or no-​chain– good service makes or breaks the meal. The kitchen staff who brought my food was great too.
Go in. Get a steak and a beer (or three) and enjoy yourself.

This was my second visit to this chain. My first was in Tyler, TX several weeks ago, and that visit compelled me to try this location (not to mention the location only a block or so from my hotel).
My business colleague and I arrived just after 6PM. There was a bit of a wait, but we found seats at the bar and were pleased that the Texas Rangers game was about to begin on the big screen! My prime rib came out a perfect medium rare and the minced horseradish and au jus complimented it perfectly. The service was great, and we left the restaurant happy with our meal and the Rangers’ comfortable lead.
I’m becoming a fan of this chain. Based on visits to two locations the service has been consistently good and the fare excellent, especially for this price point.

I love Texas Roadhouse! I live in Houston for part of the year and I eat at Texas Roadhouse there! I dont like that it is hard to take home and re-​heat fried catfish, so I have to make sure I visit on a day where I am really hungry! All the hostess/​waitresses are kinda blond clones… maybe they should do what Dallas’ Red Neck Heaven does and make them all dress like «Daisy Duke»! Also, if you decide you want to get a carry-​out order its super fast and easy! I especially like how they package the food up real nice so it will stay warm and not spill on your way home!

Ate here as was passing through. Always good food as far as chain restaurants are concerned. Do yourselves a favor and call ahead, the wait here is horrible. I had a margarita with grenadine it was good, had a steak combo with bbq chicken for dinner. Steak was cooked perfect med rare.

Went here with my husband for his office Christmas party. I’d never been before and the place was crazy-​busy. The waitress — there was just but one for all 25 or so of us — did FANTASTIC. She got everything right the first time and stayed on top of everything. I was completely impressed.
The food was basic chain food — maybe a step up from Applebees or the like. It was good but there wasn’t anything notable about it. That being said I ate every last bit of my meal. The rib meat fell of the bone and the sweet potato was gigantic and tender and sweet.
Overall, my impression was favorable and I’d go back given the chance.
