The customer service at this store is horrible! Horrible! They bombarded me as soon as I took a step in the store. They wouldn’t let me browse, they shoved merchandise I didn’t want in my hands, and wouldn’t leave me be. When I complained they told me that basically that’s their customer service model. I felt like they were stalking me around the store. They didn’t let me friend look in the drawers, they demanded that they help her when she was just checking out what they had. I left with nothing I was so upset and overwhelmed. I wrote a letter to corporate and was brushed off with«Sorry about that, if you choose to come back, we hope next time is better.» Are you kidding me?! I expect better out of a store in Somerset. This is seriously disappointing. Do not shop at Soma.

I had a horrible experience here with my friend recently. Right when we walked in the store, we were approached by multiple sales women, all asking if we needed help, fitting rooms, bra fittings, other items, etc. My friend and I kept saying«no» and that we just wanted to browse. They continued to follow us around the store, and literally shoved merchandise into my hands, even after I said it was the wrong size and I just wanted to browse. I opened a bra drawer to look for my size, and was scolded by an employee, saying«This is why we help you! You aren’t even looking in the right drawer!» Horrible, awful. My friend and I both turned around and left the store without buying anything, we were so irritated. Definitely makes me not likely to return!

Nothing against the storefront itself, but the products have gone down the flusher recently. I’ve been a Soma fan for years and bought thousands of dollars of lingerie in various Soma stores and online, but now the products are cheaply and badly made. The fabrics themselves are thinner and feel flimsy. The fabric tears away from the elastic in the panty legs, leaving gaping holes(after just a couple washings). The lace band at the top of the panties rips away from the body of the panties. Mind you, I have the exact same panties from 5 years ago that are in great shape after hundreds of washings, but my brand new ones are already garbage. It’s not a fluke, because every single pair of the new ones is tearing like that. I also have a new Soma bra that no longer fastens in the front, because the clasp doesn’t hold. Hello, girls! My suspicion is that Soma altered their garment manufacturing to save money, and now we have dollar store quality — for the usual high price. You lost a loyal customer, Soma.

I am so pleased with the service i received from Ann. I was in desperate need of new bras and panties. Ann was very professional and extremely patient with me. It was near closing time and i was unsure of my size and style of bra that i wanted. She explained the differences and gave me choices to select from until i was comfortable with my decision. I must have changed my choice of style of panties about 5 times and never once was i pressured or rushed. She was amazing at fitting me properly so that i could have the most comfortable fit. I received the best deal ever. 8 pair of bamboo panties and 2 beautiful bras for only $ 119.00. OMG, what a steal. These are the softest most comfortable bras and panties i have ever owned. The quality is amazing. Also she mentioned i was wearing my bra straps way too tight, who knew? Ann knew!!! I love her and i will never go anywhere else ever again. Thank you Ann and Soma for the amazing quality you give. XOXOXOXOXOX

An all round excellent experience. Had my first professional bra fitting. Suzanne was helpful and informative. I purchased a very lovely and flattering brassier and two panties with an especially nice feature around the back of the leg to avoid slippage. Everything in the store was 25% off so most assuredly the price was right!

I may be short and small-boned but even when I was at my skinniest in those post-college NYC years one thing about me(well, besides my mouth) was big. My. Boobs. It is downright impossible for me to find a bra. Every time I do I find something I don’t like about it or I feel like I’m always adjusting it or something doesn’t look right. And for years I’ve read that 80% of women don’t wear the correct bra size but I figured if it closes and the girls are covered it fits. Right? Wrong! When I got to Soma the bras were hanging on the walls along the right hand side of the shop and on some sale racks in the back. There was one cashier, maybe two other customers, and a woman walking around who I realized was working(although nothing she was wearing said that). I asked if I needed an appointment to be fitted and was told no and brought into the fitting room. With two quick flashes of her tape measure Yvonne proclaimed me a 42DD and left. It was slightly anticlimactic although I was happy to know my correct size. Finding a bra was kind of a nightmare. I like sexy bras and I’m very particular about straps. And color. And embellishment. I noticed Yvonne walk by a few times to speak with other customers. I noticed she asked their names. And introduced herself. I only know her name because I heard this. Anyway. She ran by and said«The sizes are here,» at one point, tapping a sign hanging with each style and listing the sizes. «Thank you, Captain Obvious,» was my intended response but instead I asked if they were hung by size and she said that no, she’d have to look in the back if it wasn’t there. Weird. There was no rhyme or reason to what was hanging on the wall. I found a style I wanted to try in Mochaccino(a browny purple) and also black. They only had black in my size. She grabbed it, another black bra with padding(like I need padding?) and another of the one I picked out in a DDD. At some point she brought be another; it was hideous. I ended up with the one I picked out and five pairs of panties(buy 3 get 2). While I’m happy to now know my correct size, I will probably buy online. Soma, like most places, caters to a certain body type that simply isn’t mine. The lack of choice and organization were frustrating along with the lacking service. If you’re going to carry sizes that are untraditional you should probably have more in stock.

This is a good place to buy lingerie. The workers actually know how to measure for a correct size and will help you. The prices are pretty good and they have most stuff in stock in all the regular colors unlike other certain stores which usually only have leopard print or neon green left. Also it’s a pretty good place for the price as well.
