Rude rude rude. I’ll never go into the place again. The proprietor could fit in well in 1970s Soviet Union. Customers are a bother. Plenty of other good stores nearby. Avoid this one.

If I could give it less stars I would. I was going camping in Tahoe, got in late maybe 1 or 2. I asked the desk clerk if they had a bathroom he said yes, then sort of followed me. Weird. As I was purchasing late night munchies he asked me if I was working. I was confused. He asked me if I had someone in the car i mumbled yeah sure. He then followed me out to my car where I locked my door as he stated ‘you are alone!‘ Yep. I drove my own car myself. Just because i’m a female and it is 2 am does not make me a prostitute. We won the lottery! Woo whoooo! What? How much? $ 6. So? It’s still winning! I’m not a big gambler. I play penny slots maybe once very two years. Gambling does nothing for me because for the«fun» to happen the stakes need to be high, and for the stakes to be high I have to be an idiot with my mortgage money or my car payments. I’m not gonna do that. So, why am I telling you all of this? Because my choice of «stupid people tax» is gambling. It’s not speeding tickets or paying $ 10 for a 16 oz beer. It’s buying lottery tickets when the lottery gets high enough to make it worth dropping $ 20 for a run of tickets. And today we cashed out our«run» for a whopping $ 6 return at the 7 – 11 in Truckee. The guy behind the counter had a very rough accent and an even rougher grasp of English, but he was friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well kept. The offerings were standard 7 – 11 offerings. There of course is no gas here and it only has about 4 spots right in front. But the Red Box is probably a good draw as well. It’s not my first choice for buying or cashing in Lottery tickets. But there is definitely no reason to avoid this place for a convenience store level need.

It’s supposed to be the dead of winter right? So why are flowers blossoming in Jan and it’s 60 – 75 degrees during the day all over California? What to do when thirsty? Go get a blue raspberry slurpee. Holy shit this is full of sugar. Place is typical 7 eleven with your interesting people watching. Hang outside Clerks style and you’ll see a good cross section of Truckee local and tourist alike
