I normally don’t complain about service because I know how hard living off that wage is and I hate to put anyone on blast but this was ridiculous. We had a reservation at 7:00pm. We were promptly sat and served water. It took 10−15minutes and then my husband had to get up and ask someone to wait on us. I understand this on a busy night but there were only 3 – 4 tables in our section and I’m pretty sure my husband I were being profiled. He was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and I have blue hair. I might be jumping to conclusions but our waitress only visited our table twice. Once after my husband prompted her to and then to deliver the bill. The manager brought us our food. We watched her take very good care of the other tables so being a bad server was not the problem. She didn’t ask us how we were or if we needed a second beverage. This is Lake Tahoe, people are paying $ 1000.00’s of dollars to stay here(The Village at NorthStar) and eat at your restaurant. If you don’t understand that then you should go work at the pizza joint. Sorry. Don’t profile a young couple because they«appear to not have money». Again, she may have been a crappy waitress and I’m just taking it personally but if that’s the case her manager needs to move her to the hostess station because she ruined our experience. The food was pretty good. I’d give it 3.5.

I have eaten here once and it was not a very good experience. It was last year around New Years, when we were staying in the village. Our meal was extremely slow, which can be understandable for how busy it was. However, the service was also bad. They brought my friends burger out freezing cold and got a number of orders wrong. We told them that our burger was freezing, and they brought it back out shortly after with all the same stuff on the plate(like cold fries) and a microwaved burger. Not very impressive. Then, this year we went in to inquire about a reservation for a large group and they just scoffed at us and said we’d have to try again after the holidays. They also wouldn’t even let us put our name down to wait for a table that night. We come back each year and will not be attempting to go here again. Overall, I would much rather go to Rubicon pizza or Mikunis.

We went to the Tavern with two young kids, 6 and 3, and were told they were fully booked. Then the manager came over and said wait and they’ll see what they could do. He came back and said they are setting a table in the back. It was great! The staff was wonderful. Our server who was from Nevada City and she was very attentive, especially with the kids. The crayons, bread and hot chocolate were a big hit. What a great experience! Vail Resorts should be proud of these folks. We’ll definitely be back. Vince O

Came here while my friends were boarding at the resort. Ordered myself tea which costed $ 3.50 which I wasn’t told it would be charged -.- the service was friendly but the food was not worth it’s price. Came here for soup and they had either chili or butternut squash bisque so I opted for the latter — boy was I disappointed. It definitely tasted like butternut squash but it just wasn’t hitting the spot for an early lunch. I also ordered an $ 18 burger which was cooked medium rare, but my patty was super burnt on the outside. I had to scrape off a lot of the black parts :/the fries were good but definitely nothing special for $ 18. For lunch by myself, $ 36 for my total was my worth it.
