One of the old school bars of truckee. If you’re looking to hang out with cool locals definitely the place. The crew is experienced and very fast.

This is a great dive bar! I always come here when in Truckee. The bar tenders are always friendly and the drinks are good.

Good place at first. You can play music on jukebox until bartender doesn’t like them and skips them all. Guys an asshole and wont let you play what you like unless he likes it personally guys an assshole. In my opinion you don’t want people like that running your bar. #freedomofspeech #thoughtthiswasamerica

1. Walk in and be confronted by cold, judgmental halfwits, feel off put 2. Realize that the«locals» giving you attitude are mostly underachievers from other states that couldn’t hack it. 3. Re gain pride. Feel bad for said dick heads. just kidding 4. Leave bar. Go home wash hands

Great local spot to grab a cold beer and catch a football game on a random mid afternoon. Mellow bartender and chill locals at the bar.

Good ol dive bar. Friendly bartender. Friendly locals and a great small town bar feeling. Drinks were good, service was fast and the pricing was decent. My only complaint is that it felt like it was 100 degrees in there!

AMAZING! May not look like it from the outside but it’s a good time! Awesome group of friendly, fun locals. If it’s your first time from out of town I recommend doing the SkiShot at least once. You will leave the bar feeling like you made life long friends! Highly recommend!!!

5 star for Annie. She is an awesome bartender who is focused on customer service and ensuring you have a good time: The karaōke lead however, short black hair and pale larger lady, keeps the microphone low and lies about it. So no one in the crowd(including you friends) can hear you. It was extremely dissapointing. I’ve never experience karaōke that was not practical before. Everyone struggled to sing to be heard.

Not at all bad price wise. I tend to be a fan of these types of bars. Had a good time playing pool and the ladies restroom was surprisingly clean(of course it was a Sunday night.) My only disappointment was the joy I felt when I saw the blue moon on tap then find out it was dry.

I didn’t spend a lot of time here, yet it was apparent that this place has a lot more character than your average dive bar. It was a Sunday, and even though it’s located in the toursity old downtown with families eating ice cream cones outside, the bar was still plenty full with what seemed to be regulars — shooting pool, taking group shots, imbibing on a little hair of the dog. Above the bar is a morbid display of several mounted deer heads(Ace Ventura: «This is a lovely room of death.» ). The most amusing feature, which could literally have kept me entertained for hours, was their totally unique collection of photographs spanning what must be many decades on the wall opposite the bar. It’s sort of a random assortment of characters who have passed through the bar over the year and must be seen to be enjoyed.

My dad was in town and specifically asked for a fun place with pool and cheap beer, so to the Tourist Club we went! It was pretty early so the place wasn’t too busy, so we went straight to the pool table. The thing is kind of a hot mess(there’s a dent in the cue ball), and it’s positioned in a way where you can’t really shoot with a normal-sized cue from two sides of the table. Could they move it over a foot or two? Maybe? Anyways, the thing had charm, and I was playing pretty well so maybe I have some sort of mystical bond with crappy pool tables. Whatever, I was appreciative. Also, the bartender was this super adorable girl who got us our beers STAT. And who can complain about $ 2 PBRs on tap? The place is filled with burly locals in flannel, for which I am also appreciative. Me likes snowy lumberjacks. The only real downside is how effing COLD it is in there! Arctic tundra, seriously. I’m pretty sure the place didn’t have heat. I get that booze warms the body and soul but it takes awhile for me to get there, and wearing a full-on down puffer jacket while shooting pool is a bit of an impediment.

And this was the diviest of the dive bars in Truckee. Not that Pasttime wasn’t divey. I just thought Tourist Club was a little more so. Bartender/owner was great. I love this place. I did some shots, met some new friends and had a blast. It was –8 when I left, not even midnight. So I went back in for one more round to warm me up for the run to the car.
