Such a fun summer event! There is music, food and booths set up by local vendors. The weather was beautiful so we grabbed a bite, brought our food to the beer garden and hung out and enjoyed some music while sipping a drink and enjoying our food. Great time to walk down the main street since the road is closed to through traffic. The only downside is traffic can be challenging but we lucked out and found one without too much trouble.

This is a must! So much fun and so much to see and do, especially if you’re dragging around a bunch of tourists from NJ. It kills a couple of items off your checklist: Food — yummy, yummy, yummy. We ate at Big Belly Deli and ate like kings. Come before 6 pm and you should be able to get seating provided. I highly advise bringing your own liquids to drink. Yup, fill up that water bottle before you come with ice and save yourself $ 2 for lukewarm bottled water that needs to be recycled. Shopping — oh, my, I need this and that and… well, I loved a lot of the cool jewelry and handicrafts made locally. They had everything from lotions to mermaid outfits. I bought a delightful silver Tahoe-shaped necklace. Social activity — you’ll run into people you know. Up to you to say hi or run screaming into the other direction. Music — live band that had lots of ages dancing enthusiastically in the streets.

Darling small town night out. There are vendor booths, music and businesses wide open to have customers. The atmosphere is casual fun. People(locals and visitors) can walk around, enjoy a drink or bite at one of the restaurants or vendor booths, meet up with friends or simply sit and take the music and action in. Donner Pass road was closed down between Brockway and Spring St allowing it all in a contained area. Truckee Thursdays are great way to spend Thursday evenings.

Truckee Thursdays are super fun. Love the mix of vendors. We purchased some darling, beautiful mugs from Alanna Hughes(an artist at Riverside Studios downtown) and I think of Truckee + Alanna every time I use mine. TAHOEMADE Attire and Big Truck Brand were representing. And there’s so much art to enjoy. Lots of good food vendors too. Can’t wait until they start up again next summer.

I think that every small city/town needs to have this. Truckee Thursdays are a great way to show off the local, small businesses and to enjoy good eats and music. They have a beer«garden» area for those who are 21+ to enjoy their cocktails and brews. The variety of booths is great, ranging from arts and crafts to mountain biking passes to the local NorthStar area.

My first visit was three summers ago and I’m astounded by how this downtown festival has grown. They shut down the main drag through the historic district and it is filled with booths of every kind. Nice mix of produce stalls, gifts, kids’ activities, food carts and a party atmosphere. There is a beer garden by the train station and live music. And this summer I saw at least four massage booths, including one featuring a masseuse walking on your back. The longest food lines are for the Full Belly Deli. This is how I first discovered the business several years ago and I’m thrilled to see them still going strong. Absolutely the place to be in Truckee on a Thursday night!
