In February of 2015, Whole Treats partnered with Coffeebar. The name of the shop changed, but they still have the Whole Treats pastries. Here’s a link to the 2015 announcement: & here’s Liz’s ongoing Facebook page with updates on all sorts of yummy GF treats:

Although they changed their name, they still run a gluten-free bakery and provide the same delicious gluten free whoopee pies, muffins, cup cakes and bread. I really enjoyed all of it.

Walked in on our way out of Truckee and the chocolate whoopie pie(dairy free too!) was delicious. The pie was a touch on the crumbly side, but the flavor and overall moistness was much better than most GF whoopie pies I’ve tried. The little gingersnaps were great as well.

This place is a joke. We came over today — 80% of items from the menu weren’t available. Food we ordered was barely eatable.

Absolutly amazing! It’s so hard to find a restaurant that will make your food in a healthy way, at whole treats there is no need to ask, everything IS actually created using minimal oil, animal products and sugar! Love it!

Whole Treats has the best gluten free pastries I’ve ever tasted. They also make their own bread so we actually had sandwiches that aren’t on the typical dry gluten free bread your get at the market! Their bread is fantastic. We loved it so much that we came two days in a row. Whole Treats is definitely worth visiting. You won’t be disappointed.

Finally checked the place out after picking up a bike at Pacos. Thè tuna wrap was incredible. Came back a few days later with my wife — who is very critical– she raved about her salad. A few days later I got my granddaughter a chocolate brownie-really excellent. Way better than Wild Cherries and Coffeebar doesn’t offer gluten free sandwiches. Staff is very friendly. Only problem is limited seating.

Oh how I wish this bakery was in Los Angeles. Everything is so tasty. I still dream about finding a blueberry muffin half as good as the muffin at Whole Treats! I tried five or six things, including the maple-bacon donut. Everything was top notch. The blueberry muffin is still my favorite, though. Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced!

I personally know the owners and most of the employees at Whole Treats and I can honestly say they are good people. The food is always great as well. If you’re looking for a gluten free option in the Tahoe area, this is the place to go. All of their products are now gluten free and I have yet to try anything that I haven’t enjoyed! Goodies without guilt! And their meals are very good as well.

If you care about good quality ingredients they use the best! For lunch, I mostly eat here or New Moon. I’m not much of a sweets person but they have quite the selection of gluten free and cane sugar free desserts. I like the ginger cookies mmm! One excellent offering is the bread– it’s some of the best gluten free bread I’ve ever tried. I made amazing French Toast with it and it has a great texture and yummy sweet flavor. My salon has gluten free hair care for the truly sensitive and I send all of my clients with celiacs to Whole Treats as well as anyone else who wants fresh food for lunch! Big man appetite? They have a salad with 3 or 4 types of meat on it and plenty of it including bacon! I’ve also heard they have delicious breakfasts. I’ll be going back weekly!

What a great find! I walked in and was greeted with a nice friendly welcome. The French Toast Casserole was over the top yummy! With a larger than expected portion. The SPE Special burrito was an explosion of flavor! It was smaller than I expected but packed full of goodness! This is a great breakfast stop and it was a pleasure to experience breakfast worth my five stars! Thank you!

My new favorite place in Truckee — wide variety of gluten free baked goods, breakfast and lunch entrees. High quality, generous servings and a super friendly staff — definitely a must go to place even if you’re not looking for gluten free goods.

I am always excited to find a bakery that offers vegan and gluten free options. I had the dairy free whoopie pie on this visit. To my fellow vegans, this treat is only vegetarian as it contains eggs. The cream between the cookies was made with coconut milk and was fabulous. The cookies were very tasty but a bit dry. They seemed to have been thawing out and my experience with gluten free treats is that they get very dry when thawed out. I bake vegan, gluten free so I do understand the challenges and the very short shelf life of a GF baked good. I enjoyed that treat and will be back whenever I visit Truckee to support this bakery!

The French Toast Casserole is excellent: It’s a cross between french toast and bread pudding. Nice crispy outside, super flavorful. The turtle brownies are excellent: the texture nails the right balance between«fudgy» and«cakey». super rich chocolate flavor: The gluten free waffles are interesting, and worth trying once: It tastes like it’s made with whole wheat pancake batter. It’s a thin-style waffle, and comes with some herb butter, and warm maple syrup. The gluten free donuts are also«interesting», and worth trying once: they are cakey style, but better than the usual cakey-style donut; both lighter and moister. I don’t recommend the paleo stratta. Not enough flavor, and the crust isn’t browned enough(a little rubbery): Skip the dairy free whooopie pie: Not enough flavor, and the chocolate cookies have a weird«not really chocolate» flavor to them.

I highly recommend this place! A very nice bakery(and eatery) that appears to use top-quality ingredients. I was amazed the by the gluten-free offering.(i.e. everything). I couldn’t resist something called a «Whoopie Bar or Cookie» I can’t remember the correct name. It was absolutely delicious and as I write this I am thinking about devouring the little apple pie I bought at the same time. Great location. It is In the shopping center next to the Shell Gas station on the West side of town(Highway 80 and Donner Pass Road). It will become a regular stop for this guy and friends. Also, the woman that waited on me couldn’t have been more personable. HMM. HMM, GOOD!

Great find! My family and I happened upon this place while stopping by the outlets next door. Whole Treats is a cute little health-conscious bakery that sells salads, wraps, cookies, muffins, baked goods, quiche.etc. We stopped by for lunch and the food was great! The prices were just right as well. I got the Arugula-la-la salad(arugula, pear, goat cheese, white balsamic glaze) and it was pretty good. Someone else got the Spinach Salad(spinach, balsamic dressing, strawberries, bacon) and that was absolutely delicious. They were both 8.95 which I think is not bad at all for a fancy salad. I also got the Bella’s Bucha Kombucha and it was terrific! I think it is locally made. It was so good I even came back the same day to get some more. We also got an oatmeal cookie(which are gluten-free), and it was also very tasty. The staff were also very friendly and happy to be there! Overall I highly recommend this place! A very nice, healthy bakery that uses top-quality ingredients.

Wow. What a great find… and I say FIND because it isn’t easy to see. Tucked in a mini mall where they must adhere to conformity of the aesthetics. I looked for it once and drove right by it earlier this year. Then discovered it when looking for SEARS. Fine. I find its very generic store front with minimal signage and go inside. WOW! It is a full service bakery/coffeehouse with outstanding menu items. Great cozy, modern slightly industrial rustic décor. Great friendly staff… and again, great food. Highly recommend the quiche. Bought some cupcakes for later tonights dinner. I think I might have to make a daily trip here.
