Placing my order, the phone rings. She takes the phone order. Including questions about food. I don’t understand why restaurant owners don’t invest in customer service training. Probably because they pay so low, it doesn’t matter?

Rather not give even 1 star dont like giving bad reviews. Ordered wor wonton and crab Rangoon to go. Rangoons was nothing but shell. Luckily we live next door, drove back and asked for more and the response from the server was ‘this is how it’s served’ he broke up each wonton and showed her and she said he was 86’d from the restaurant. Customer service has not increased with new owner. sad… they threatened to call police. really? Wor wonton is all they have. Go to panda express if u want fast food. Called after and server said they don’t need to say anything about their food, and hung up. Don’t do it

If you like to go to a restaurant and wait more than five minutes without anyone saying as much as «hi» to you this is the place. Or you can go to Panda Express and get some service

Did a to go order on 2−13−15. Ordered SZECHUANBEEF, CRISPYCHICKEN, Pork Fried Rice and two orders of egg rolls. This was enough food to feed 4 adults and one 15 month old. I highly recommend asking for the house hot mustard versus the hot mustard in the packets. The house hot mustard is SO much better.

Good food, nice fish tanks and gold Buddhas. Service is great for Tahoe standards. Prices are super affordable.

Over sauced food was still bland. Beef was low quality and and hard to chew. Vegetables tasted cheap and gross. Very disappointed. Waitress checked on us and was quick. Food came out within maybe five minutes of ordering. The chow mein was good. Others thought the cashew chicken was good too. I didn’t try it though.

We stayed in a hotel right near here. After looking the restaurant up on Unilocal we saw it didn’t have a very good rating but we decided to take a chance for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and there were others dining. There are two large salt water tanks with fish swimming in the center of the restaurant and they are very clean. There is a fun faux cherry blossom tree with branches spreading up and onto the ceiling. Two of us ordered their combination chow fun, one ordered a shrimp special, and the other ordered vegetable egg foo young. We got a «po po platter» for appetizers. It came with a flame on top, a couple of teriyaki-like strips of beef to heat over the flames, egg rolls, shrimp, and crab Rangoon(sp). When our main dishes came we were all pleasantly surprised. They were plentiful and delicious. My only criticism would be the hot and sour soup which was bland. Other than that, it was a delicious meal and a good value for the price.

I had the house chow fun. It was wonderful! And service was very prompt and polite. And the large fish tanks were very interesting. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Roadtrippin’ to the redwoods and we decided to stay in Truckee CA for the night. The lady at the check in desk for the hotel recommended Wong’s. We had egg rolls, crab ragoons, sweet and sour chicken, cashew shrimp, veggie chowmein, and Orange chicken. All dishes were large enough portions to share and could have made two meals but we are on the road and can’t store the leftovers. Delicious food. Take out was quick and the ladies that helped né were great. Will stop by again if I am ever in Truckee.

Call in for an order. I was trying to order beef chow mein and the lady who answered told me she«never heard of it» what kind of Chinese place doesn’t serve chow mein. Would never be back, rather go to Panda I just hope they do serve chow mein. And the service isn’t good at all either.

Wongs is the WRONGCHOICE. Everything is awful. Stay AWAY. Horrible Service. Had always left good tips, been friendly and cleaned down the table when we were finished. One day we got terrible service and when we were leaving the 2 mexican ladies had the nerve to start talking down to our table. We then were like wait is something wrong? She said we dont like you do not come back. You do not tip! Just Order TOGO from now on. We dont want you here. WOW I said excuse me? We always leave a nice tip as we come here often. We came here often because we liked this place and didnt have any issues. We have never been rude. They just stood there saying Only do to go orders. Hmm wouldnt that make your job so much easier. Again, its customer service. Suck it up and do your job or get a job you can handle. WRONGCHOICE. Panda is a way better option for this style of food.

Never busy at Wongs. It’s the only Chinese food place in Truckee if you want traditional Chinese food. Bottom line– I’d eat here if you were buying.

The only Chinese restaurant in Truckee, with the exception of fast food Panda Express. Is that really Chinese? Food is good, but service is lacking. Absolutely no personality. The only thing that you’ll hear is «Ready to order?», followed by, «Everything okay» and finally«Boxes?» Two aquariums are very visible from most tables. Not too clean, but kids will be entertained watching the fish do their thing. I just wish the service was trained. Probably will never happen.

Zero stars. We are locals. Ate here about four years ago. Thought we try it again. Big mistake. $ 40 worth of food going in the trash! Not good enough for the dog. We are both disgusted and trying to get rid of the awful taste.

I don’t like to leave bad Reviews, however this place is NOT worth your Precious Time MONEY! The restaurant is dated and unclean. The Staff are very rude and not helpful I asked for a refill to our server who was on their phone and they held up a finger to signal wait till I’m done. The Food is slimy with old rancid tasting oil. Steer clear your worth it not to go through the same thing me –z
