Twice we’ve been to Truckee bagel in the morning, twice they didnt have most of the varietals, twice the bagels they had were stale and twice the clerk was willing to leave us waiting while she took phone orders. Plus, they put only about two slices of lox on the bagel. You are better off buying a bagel and lox next door at the Super Market.

LAST TIME I COME HERE. been a customer for years and every time i order the guy at the counter treats me like ik inconveniencing him. bad business holmes. not helping my appetite or my desire to give you my money, or even a gratiity. but heres a tip for you; if you dont like your job, you shouldnt be doing it. especially ‘customer service,’ front line, ‘hospitality,’ ‘service’ indstry positions.
he sure does treat the lady customers well though. no joke.

Stopped in for hot white mocha because the Starbucks (in Safeway) had problems with their espresso machine, so no hot drinks there! White mocha here tasted great!!! Only $ 2.50 and the size of a grande at Starbucks. Bagel fresh and yummy too. Server friendly and store was clean and tidy.

I come up to Truckee regularly, but rarely here for breakfast. Needed something at 6am, and came over here. This place has excellent bagels, and classic toppings. Owner is local and friendly. Highly recommend this for a no-​nonsense morning meal.

3 strikes and your out! Same lousy cranky tatted up female server. We are not local but pass thru twice a month and have been treated horrible for the last time.
We usually try and keep our dollars local but Starbucks is looking good at this point. 3 times in a row is not having a bad day.
Only put a star because it wouldn’t let me post a zero star.

Watching those fresh bagels come out of the oven, and having a great Truckee Bagel Blend coffee really is «all that.» I was just visiting but you can tell this is the place to go as all the locals drive in for their regular breakfast & lunch. So good, I flew back for more! Great friendly staff. Espressos and quick-​pump to-​go coffee available.

This was the most uncomfortable I have ever felt at a restaurant.
Went their with the family. My 2 kids were having a tickle fight — being kids but not hurting anything (oh yeah, did I mention the place was empty at lunch?).
We were not greeted by the older man at the counter (owner?). When I told him we would like to order he dropped his utensil and just stared at me.
We got our food (OK) and as we were eating a local, I presume, came in. The man at the counter looked at us and rolled his eyes and apologized to the local! Wow!
We picked up our things, threw away the food and left ASAP. I’ll never forget the way we were treated.
I really hope these reviews catch up to him and he shuts down.

2 stars for clean place and warm chewy bagels. Eggs were microwaved and rubbery and when I asked if they had a coffee bar (since there wAs no coffee menu posted) I was pointed to a couple of carafes in the corner. When I walked away from the counter I noticed a piece of paper offset near the register, a espresso bar list, well duh, that’s what I was asking for. Friendly staff just not to bright, next time elsewhere for breakfast

I liked the bagels, I loved the coffee.
The decaf has excellent flavor. It comes from the bean and not from the roast. It’s called Organic Swiss Water Decaf from the Sierra-​Pacific Coffee Company. They say they decaffeinate it using only water and not chemicals or solvents. It has a full, rich flavor.
The staff is friendly.

Kinda on the outskirts of town, we mistook this one for the one with the juice action. Came in right before close and they had pretty much cleaned up house. Got an ok mocha to go but nothing to write hime about. Lots of new coffee selections have cropped up into town so I think stick with the baked goods

Bagels are good and fresh. The man behind the counter wasn’t the friendliest but appeared to be very nice to the locals. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the microwaved eggs but they were pretty good in my bagel sandwich. The place is clean. They offer a variety of decent tasting organic coffees and regular coffees. Chips and a variety of drinks are also offered.

Everytime we show up for lunch they are mopping the floors by noon even though they are open until 3pm. The chairs are up and it smells like chemicals so eating there won’t happen. The girls that work there are in high school and have an attitude. And the bagels are only decent
