This place has great Italian food and they take coupons! We’ve used a $ 20 off coupon each time we went and the waitress took it with no problems. A lot of places give out coupons that have a ton of fine print and you find out you can’t use it when you get to the restaurant. We did not have that problem at this place! Food is reasonably priced and it is good. You can’t go wrong having dinner here.

Fantastic. Great food and service. My new favorite Italian. Had the Veal Mamma Mia and the pollo rollatini. Red sauce just how I like it– more spicy than sweet.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in all of New York State. My husband is Italian and his family has taken me to numerous Italian restaurants but nothing had compared to the cooking and sense of hospitality and Mama Assunta. It’s easy to tell that it’s a owned by a family because they have such a fine sense of the craft of cooking. I think they must make mozzarella themselves, it’s amazing, it melts in my mouth. On holidays they offer a Futti di Mari that I think is spectacular because it is not fried and tastes so fresh and rich.

Absolutely amazing food!!! Classic Italian dishes like beef braciole, chicken scarpiello, and frutti di mari are made with art and zest. My wife and I adore this place: it’s cozy and elegant, the wait staff is thoughtful and attentive, and the owner is a real gentleman.

Unfortunately, the food can be very good, but the service is awful when the restaurant is busy-​have waited as long as an hour and half for main courses!
The owner will casually say the food is coming when you question him but it doesn’t! He needs more staff-​this problem has occured a number of times and guess it doesn’t bother him but it bothers me and my friends. We don’t recommend this restaurant.

Amazing Italian food in a environment so rustic and old-​fashioned, you’ll feel like your back in Italy. Me and the family have gone here for over 20 years, and have never had a bad experience. This is a must for fine italian dining.

I liked the food but the service was painfully slow. We had reservations and still waited very long for our table. Then, from the time we ordered, till the time we got our check it was about 2 hours. We liked the salad, baked clam appetizer and the polenta appetizer was delicious. Dessert was run of the mill Italian. I will go back again and hope for better service.

A nice classic red sauce place. I think it’s pricey for the experience. Also not happy they charged me $ 8 for a plate of naked/​plain pasta for my 2 yo, especially after we had a full meal; soup-​to-​nuts.

I wasn’t crazy about most of the food… the crabmeat and shrimp– stuffed calamari looked unappetizing (it was grayish. and I eat a lot of squid… never ate gray squid).and didnt taste good at all. My appetizer of clams with crabmeat didnt taste right either. DISAPPOINTING.

I have been coming to this restaurant with my family for as long as I can remember. It is a beautiful, family owned restaurant where I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service.
Delicious italian food and wine at reasonable prices. You’ll see the same faces in here time and time again. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Favorites include the pappardelle della mamma and the hot antipasto.

Hidden deep in the back of a mini plaza is this gem of an Italian restaurant. If you can find parking and locate the place it is well worth it. Excellent quality food. Delicious. Two words– Hot Antipast!
This is the perfect place to have a family party. And I had the very best, freshest tasting cannoli here for dessert!
