IHOP

I went to this ihop with the intention of getting some serious homework done. I started with coffee and pie, but was actually pretty hungry and planned to get a full meal when the waiter came back. I didn’t get the chance! I got the check before I could even say a word. I left feeling bummed, my plan was foiled, and I left hungry.

The eggs were cold but the coffee was good.

Service was fairly polite and speedy. The quality of the food was pretty solid and tasted great. There was only one problem, which was after leaving about an hour or so later my stomach was in pain and I’m thinking it’s food poisoning but no regrets. Would eat here again.

You ever have that moment when you want a hardy breakfast, that is fast, convenient, and of modest customer service? Well in most cases, IHOP usually provides that type of service. Today’s visit was anything but easy, pleasant, or reassuring. We sat for nearly 20 minutes and was never greet while at the table. We walked out after telling the host, who was just sitting around, about our issue. She in no way tried to apologize or understand our situation. Again, due to the horrific customer service experience, we didn’t want to go through the whole word vomit of apologies. or have a free meal comp. We are proud paying individuals and do not want any hand outs. We left and sadly will not be returning back to this location. Also this has not been our first «rough» experience at IHOP. To be fair this location is always busy, but a simple stop by our sever (which we never knew because they never showed face.) to let us know it will be a moment would have went a long way. We were not the only customers who had issues. Managers were out and about trying to rectify customer issues. This location needs work!

This IHOP is the finest of the bunch in Tucson. The food is good. Every time I go there, I do not leave hungry. The coffee is good. The reason I go there is the customer service. I get smiles and warm welcomes every time I go there. This gives me warm fuzzies inside. They even know me by name. Even though there is one server who I always ask for, they all treat me like family. Even though there is an IHOP just down the street from my house, I drive the 10 minutes out of my way for their customer service and friendliness.

Since it’s a chain I’ll keep it simple and to the point. The food and service has always been consistent at the different IHOP locations I’ve visited. I’ve always visited for breakfast as the lunch and dinner items seem to be a little less desirable. I’m giving it an extra star just because of the Cheesecake Pancakes with Strawberry Syrup (To Die For). During the weekend expect to wait awhile during breakfast hours.

Nothing to write home about but what can you expect from a huge mass produced food vendor the food is bland to say the least. Thankfully the service is good the young lady that served use is friendly and attentive. The prices leave a lot to be desired never seen bacon so thin in my life.
