I Went in there simply because they are open 24 hrs. Around 5 a.m. I walked in and there was a gentleman with his dirty outdoor coat with his back turned towards me behind the counter. I finally got his attention because the other two men behind the same counter told him I was there. I ordered some enchiladas and he simply there isn’t any. No explanation nor apology of why. These 3 men just seemed to want to chit chat or maybe it’s illegal to get enchiladas at 5 in the morning? Vey poor customer service.

I’m not too harsh and I rarely write reviews … But wanted to warn you guys. A few months ago I purchased a burrito via the drive thru. I began to eat the burrito and the potatoes were so raw that I had to turn around and return it(overall it was bad quality). Less than 2 minutes had passed and I still had my receipt. I went to tell them about this & they were not very nice about it and said that they don’t do refunds. I was grossed out by the place and wasn’t interested in anything else after the bad food & service. Long story short … You get what you get. No guarantees. :-/

The food is awesome the takeout drive-thru staff is always really nice but I literally gain so much weight if I eat here consistently. Sad faces

Probably the weirdest Mexican place I’ve ever been to. As soon as I finished my last bite I felt like crap. The enchiladas there shouldn’t even be called enchiladas cause they can’t live up to the name. And also while I was there they sold a homeless man a pair of headphones for about 5 bucks at their front counter…

This is still one of my favorite local taco shops for a couple of reasons. They are usually able to make your entire order in a short period of time, and just about everything on their menu is really delicious! I only ever go here in the evening, and whenever I do, everything is always made to order and the drive thru is really efficient and friendly. The breakfast burritos are always good, and so is the pollo asado burrito. Unlike some other reviewers here, I’ve only had really good experiences at this Nico’s, and I’ll continue to go here whenever I get a chance to. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants great Mexican food made to order.

This was my first time here and I really didn’t know what to order — anything that has the word«super» and the word«fries» in it, I have to give it a shot. I decided to go with the Super Fries and to add icing to the cake, I asked for extra fries. It ended up being $ 12.50 and ended up being an ENORMOUS amount of food! There was plenty of cheese, plenty of pico, meat, sour cream, I couldn’t complain one bit. I would definitely recommend going with the fan favorite(Super Fries) but if you don’t have more than two or three people, you might want to back off the ask for extra fries($ 3). Just a side note, as much as I enjoyed my food there, one thing you will notice is they charge extra for pretty much everything. Salsa(extra), beans(extra), Conversation(extra). Just make sure you know what you are paying for in the event you ask for something extra, however; this was not a deal breaker for me. I’ll be back!

This is the worst Mexican food I have ever had in the state of Arizona. I had the California burrito and it really sucked. The carne asada was horrible. It was bland and tough. The worst part about this pathetic burrito was the French fries that were actually just boiled potatoes. They were tossed in at one end like a giant clump of boiled limp potatoes. It was really disappointing because I was starving and looking forward to some good Mexican food. I also had a beef taco and that was average at best. With so many good Mexican resteraunts in Tucson there is really no reason to go to this one. Save you’re money and do better somewhere else.

If you like fast Mexican food Nico’s is the place to go. Their bacon breakfast burrito is yum and their rolled tacos with the guacamole(get that on the side to avoid soggy tacos) is my fav! Don’t expect to be wined and dined its just a good muchee food place with good prices!

Super decent, quick Mexican food! It admittedly isn’t the best nor the healthiest, but that has never stopped me from eating here frequently. The drive through option is much appreciated, and it’s excellent for a late night bite. The breakfast burritos are really delicious! My go-to lunch option is the vegetarian burrito, and it’s one of the better veggie burritos offered at any hole-in-the-wall restaurant in town.

Good value for what you get. Good beef tacos, and the salsa was great. Had the carne asada plate, and the meat was a bit flavorless. ok place overall though.

Nico’s is great for quick, cheap, greasy Mexican food. It’s by no means authentic or fancy, and I always just drive through instead of going in. The egg and bacon burrito is my usual order, with the red sauce. I’ve also tried the carne asada cheese fries and the rice, both were good but like most things on the menu, nothing spectacular. Not my first choice, but good after late night study sessions or if nothing else is open.

Legit Mexican fast food. Try a pollo asado burrito and red salsa. Building is a little dingy, but still my standard local burrito joint. Drive-thru is a bonus.

Nico’s is awesome for quick Mexican food. I taught at an Elementary School nearby and used to do runs to this location to pick up lunch for my coworkers and I. The drive thru is always quick and efficient and I have yet to have them make a mistake on our order, which is great. I have to say the carne asada burrito is amazing. The meat is cheap but good, there’s lots of cheese, and the burrito itself is HUGE. It’s the type of meal that tastes great while you eat it and then start to regret immediately upon finishing since your stomach feels like it’s going to burst. But it’s worth it. My coworkers would swear by Nico’s rolled tacos(though I haven’t tried them myself) and the red salsa that you can get on the side is spicy and delicious. All in all, it works well for a quick and filling lunch option.

As a person with a craving for awesome Mexican food Nico’s is the way to go. I routinely frequent this place for their California Burrito. That hunk of a meal is just deliciously cooked. Not to mention the awesome spicy red and green sauces that can accompany your meal. While i haven’t engaged in the Nicos vs Betos war, I can say Nicos does provide great food. Next time you’re in the Dirty T try to snag a delicious Jamaica. It will literally transport you to Jamaica it’s that good. Or even go bigger grab a smooth Horchata with that spicy meal! Nico’s is a must have for any Tucsonites/visitors!

Lakers vs Celtics. Yankees vs. Red Sox. Nico’s vs. Betos. Truly, these are rivalries for ours and all times. Where you stand on Nico’s vs Betos may say more to people about yourself than your political or religious affiliation. It may even be a deal breaker in a relationship. Well screw relationships folks, we’re bout to go deep here. Burrito for burrito, this particular Nico’s has no peer. It’s after you get to the combos and taco’s that I feel Betos has just a little more quality on its bench. But let’s talk burritos, baby. The Nico’s carne asada burrito is beautiful. As long and hearty as a Subway footlong(so approximately 9inches), and usually as quality as you can expect from a 24hour hole-in-the-wall. Add the beans to any burrito and enjoy the early onset diabetes and hypertension because it’s just so sinfully good. Don’t even get me started on the breakfast burritos. Only 2 places in town can match them, and those places are closed when I’m drunk so even that’s debatable. All and all, Nico’s is rightfully a late night institution. And a lunchtime resolution to avoid. But you’re gonna do it. You’re gonna

The service is not great, to be honest. But the breakfast burritos are enough to earn it an extra star.

I’m Out– Like anyone running to work who didn’t eat breakfast, thought I’d stop and get my Friday burrito on – of course I like Chorizo, potato, egg & cheese – but they don’t have one. They have a bacon cheese, potato egg and its 4.79. I went through the drive-in today and asked that they swap out the bacon and put in Chorizo – drive through attendant said – that will be 8.79 – I said what? She said changing the bacon to Chorizo cause a price increase – can you hear my wheels spinning – I’m not a fan – won’t go back. These burritos are good but not great and that price is ridiculous. For that money, I can have a sit down breakfast at the Blue Willow with coffee and their Chorizo breakfast burrito has real potatoes and not french fries. Sorry Nicos – I’m out.
