Haven’t been to the Good Egg on Swan and Grant in a while so I was pleasantly surprised by the redo. Very nice. I didn’t go with my kids today so I dont’ know if they will still give families the apples and cheerios to keep the little ones happy. I would normally give this place a 4 star but my experience today was more like«Whhhhat? Seriously!?!» I ordered the oatmeal and it came with fruits and sugar and a bit of COLD milk. The oatmeal was not piping hot so I asked to have the milk warmed up because I did’t wannt to further cool it(I like hot oatmeal on a cold day). The server came back and told me that they didn’t have a microwave and they didn’t have a capuccino steamer. I called on another server and asked again and was told that they«weren’t allowed to heat up milk.» WHAAAT? they don’t have a pot and a stove back there? How did they cook the oatmeal and the egg then? And is there some state health code against hot milk? I suppose I should be impressed that they don’t have a microwave but I was very underwhelmed by their inability to heat up some milk. It’s one of those bizarro moments that make you wonder if people are so rule bound they can’t problem solve or they are not creative enough to come up with some better bulls#1+! answer? I will go back to the Good Egg but next time I will be sure to bring a pot to warm up the milk.

Breakfast was not impressive. My husband asked for his English muffin to be toasted extra crispy and it was not, and home fries were delivered to him instead of hash browns. He had to wait about 10 minutes more for the hash browns to be prepared and delivered. The mushroom caps I had with my egg dish looked like they were left over from a few days before. They were dry, shriveled, lukewarm, and very unappetizing. Our server was very kind and apologetic and said she could have the kitchen prepare something else but we were were not in a position to wait. We left paying almost $ 30 for breakfast that did not come close to our expectations.

We have been here both before and after they affiliated with First Watch, and wow, what a difference it’s made! The place looks awesome and definitely has a more refined feel. The food is fantastic and they have plenty of healthy options. The service is a little slow, but everyone is very kind. :) Best thing about this place? The hot chocolate! Hands down the best in town.

The manager on Sunday is rude and Into Himself. He really doesn’t know what he’s doing. And should be a server himself.

4 of us went for brunch, it took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. All of us got omeletas and they were amazing, and one person got the egg white crêpe and it was DISGUSTING! The crêpe was inside an omelet and it was just like some soggy crêpe mess inside an omelet. We complained and they only apologized. She barely ate any of it and they still charged her for it. She is not one to make a big deal out of it So she just paid for it. Not ever going back to this horrible place.

When you walk into the restaurant, you know the decision to eat here for breakfast, lunch, or brunch was right. The menu is just amazing, and I would recommend almost everything on it. If u want to make a reservation, it has to be 20 minutes in advance, and you may still have to wait even with a reservation. We didn’t have a reservation and only had to wait 25 minutes with a family of 4. Make an account and get a $ 2 off coupon. The staff was friendly to us even during a rush hour. The menu consists of pancakes, French toast, skillets, eggs Benedict, sandwiches, soups, salads, southwest(Mexican) dishes, and healthy options. I ordered the Lumberjack skillet with scrambled eggs and it took about 25 minutes. I did NOTLOVE it, but it was an OKAYMEAL. The waiter apologized for the wait, but the food was worth it. I really recommend the classic cake pancakes. The batter is perfectly cooked, fluffy, and moist. And don’t even get me started on the syrup they give you. ABSOLUTEHEAVEN! One of my favorite breakfast spots.

Really nice breakfast joint in Tucson. Not a wait at all on a Saturday morning as this is a pretty large place. Had the veggie scramble with over medium eggs and it was delish… potatoes were crispy but not burned and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Son had the pancake and bacon and it was a ton of food and all really good. Seems like there are s number of different locations but certainly would be a go-to place for me.

The remodel of this Good Egg is exactly what was needed. I’ve always loved eating breakfast here and this new remodel takes the restaurant to a whole new level. Its farmhouse chic with new everything(tables, plates, lighting, etc,). I ordered the lumberjack skillet with two over easy eggs on top and a English muffin for the side. It was so filling. Every bite was filled will meat, bell pepper, onions… It was perfectly balanced. Definitely a go to item if you’re wanting to stock up on protein for the day because this item is filled with all different meat like sausage and ham. This is probably the best item on the menu for carnivores! The only reason why I gave the rating 4 instead of 5 was the service. Now I hate when waitresses are really pushy and check on you almost every bite, but I still enjoy someone coming to make sure my drink is filled up every now and then. The waitress was good enough– no major complaints. I just wish I was checked up on a tiny bit more. I hate having an empty glass for half of my meal. I’m sure this is in part to how busy the place always is on weekends, but just something to be aware of!

Awesome food, great atmosphere, many healthy options and the carafe of coffee left at your table is a great idea. I wish there was a option like this where I live.

I’ve always really liked the Good Egg. They’ve recently redocorated to give it a more current feel. This place can be pretty crowded on the weekends so expect a 20 minute or so wait. They have ginormous pancakes that they offer with whole wheat batter and they offer turey sausage. A lot of new health conscious menu items that I am all for. It’s nothing fancy here at the Good Egg, but it’s a good time with some good eats.

The new décor is really new and fresh… it ain’t your mother’s Good Egg any more. The menu also received a revamp to some more healthier options. I’ll definitely be back. Only draw back is the that the«pancake of the month» is a thing of the past :/

I have always loved Good Egg, especially this location. Yesterday, when I went in, they had redone the whole restaurant. I did not like it at all, it was very plain and open. I used to like the way the restaurant looked before-with the yellow wall paper and home style feel to it. I’m not sure why it even needed to be redone-it was so cute before, even other people have said the same to me. Anyway, it wasn’t just the looks that I had a bad experience with. I ordered an omelet and it came out cold, it was even warm at all-and I’m not one to tell a server if something isn’t good. Also, I can’t have butter for my dietary reasons, and my English muffin was slathered with it. Another thing I noticed was that there were bugs everywhere. There was a grasshopper on the floor, bugs inside the curtain next to me, and another bug crawling on the floor next to our table. I’m not one to complain about a bad experience, but this one I had was one of the worst. Besides the bad experience, our server was great-no complains there :)

Not too bad for a breakfast place. I had the bananas Elvis and my fiancé had the French toast and my mom in law had the avocado toast with braised eggs. Will def go there again!

This is basically what happens if Denny’s would give a sh*t about their customers and food. You get a decent breakfast, with good service, in a comforting environment. They have an assortment of breakfast choices, from your South of the boarder, to your Out in he Country, to your Fit in the City, to Sweets pastries and pancakes. You can’t really go wrong if breakfast is what you are craving. I always says this… if my hashbrowns are crispy, my toast is nice and crisp and buttered, my eggs are runny, and my bacon is crispy. you’re doing real well.

Came here on Memorial Day at around 8:30am for breakfast. Our party of 5 was seated right away in a big circle corner table(bonus: we were near an outlet so I could charge my phone!) There were a fair amount of people already in the restaurant, but our waiter was very attentive. I ordered the breakfast tacos, which were decent. The corn tortillas started falling apart a little toward the end, and the salsa was a bit too spicy for me, but they were still good. My bf ordered the veggie scramble, which had lots of veggies like he was promised and was very healthy. The portions weren’t huge, like you’ll find at some breakfast places. A person could easily finish his or her own entrée. Also, the waiter offered us extra hot sauces which weren’t on the table. We were about to embark on a long drive, so I brought my empty coffee tumbler to fill up and there were lots of creamers available to choose from. The food was a little on the pricey side at about $ 10-$ 12 each, but the food was good.

The Good Egg Crossroads I went to this location for brunch on a Saturday it was around 12:00 noon. I was eating with a friend and her daughter. When we stepped inside we were asked to wait. There weren’t any other people waiting. When we were taken back to our table a few minutes later most of the tables we passed were empty. I don’t understand why they made us wait. They even pulled out the wait list and asked me for my name. Once we were at the table I ordered an iced tea and water. Other Good Egg locations put water pitchers and coffee carafes on the table. This is one of my favorite things at The Good Egg, but this location didn’t give us a pitcher. The service wasn’t particularly friendly or good. Other reviewers have said they were given a child’s plate of snacks. We weren’t offered anything even though we were eating with a cranky one-year-old. I ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes. For $ 7.59 I just got two pancakes without any meat or eggs. The pancakes do have some special ingredients but nothing substantial. I think these pancakes were a bit overpriced and I think they forgot the whip cream on my order. I won’t order the pineapple upside down pancakes again. My friend ordered a Bacado omelet and she said it was good. When we were ready to leave I wasn’t offered a to-go cup of tea. Again, these little service details, what I like about the Good Egg, didn’t seem to be in practice at this location. Overall, I would say that based on my previous experience, I like the Good Egg, but judging from this most recent visit, I don’t like this location.

Positives: –great customer service –great food –great ambience Came here in a Sunday morning for brunch. Had the Veggie skillet because I wanted to be healthy. Price was 7.59. Food came at a reasonable time. Waitress was very nice and friendly. She brought extra salsa for us to put on our food. My skillet was very good. I felt great after eating it, which is normally not the case after I have a large breakfast. Everyone else’s food looked great, as well. Good sized portions. Loved the small, warm restaurant ambience. Giving this 4 stars because I thought that overall it was very good, although it’s not like it knocked my socks off. Bottom line: Great place to come with a group of people after church for breakfast. Reasonable prices, good food, and great service and ambience. I wouldn’t mind coming back again.

I really liked the atmosphere and friendliness of th staff. The portions are fair, I’ve definitely had bigger skillets other places, but I was sufficiently full after leaving. We went at about 11am on a Saturday and didn’t have any wait, just sat at the«bar» where we were immediately helped. We will definitely be back!
