Had an amazing meal here. Al the food is great Prickly pear anything is good, fruit is so fresh, and staff are nice. Seating is limited, …so walk around the garden, and take in the sights for a few minutes.

Even though the Tea Room has a few flaws I will continue to come back time and time again! Let me point out a few areas that could use some improvement and then I will top it all off with why everyone needs to try this little oasis! 1. The seating is very limited if you want to sit inside! We all know how unforgiving the Tucson heat can be so if your like me you need to sit in the cool! If that is the case I would suggest calling ahead to make sure there is room! The outside seating is very beautiful since it is in the Tohono Chule garden! The downside other than heat outdoors is that because of all the flowers there are many bugs! 2. The service is kinda slow! It is an extreamly small little tea room so if it gets a little busy the time it takes to get your food can be a long. Also there is usually only one server so prepair to not have tons of immediate service. But hey, the size is part of the charm! 3. Lastly the price is kinda up there since it is totally local owned and made with really fresh ingredients! However I would rather pay a little more for quality food! All in all I will continue to go back! Tohono Is a tucson landmark and I always love supporting it! The whole ambiance is breathtaking and quaint and one of a kind. Great food, sweet people, amazing location!

Pretty outdoor seating. Although, next time I will dine inside. A bee flew right up to my food. I’m deathly allergic. They can’t control that though. What they can control is… my bacon chul burger was dripping with oil. Yuck. Also, I did not get a single refill on my beverage.

I was really disappointed with the quality of the food we ate at Sunday brunch a little over a week ago. My husband and I moved away from Tucson 10 years ago and this was our first return visit. When we lived here, Tohono Chul was one of our favorite places to take visitors– brunch used to be fresh and tasty and a tour of the park and gift shop always lovely. The park and gift shop are as nice as before, but the food at brunch was ~meh~. My daughter’s french fries were overly salty and she quickly lost interest. My husband said his eggs benedict were not poached well and my prickly pear mimosa was definitely watered down. My tacos were decent but nothing extraordinary. Not sure I would return on a future visit to Tucson, at least for a meal. Really sad as this was such a nostalgic locale for us!

When my bf and I discovered this place we were delighted-an adorable bistro in Tohono Chul Park, but we were just there and the service was so slow and inattentive. Sure sometimes the kitchen gets slammed, I get that, but our waiter made himself scarce and sort of ambled about while the waitresses carried drinks and food around to the various tables. The burger was meh-a regular burger you’d get from Denny’s or something. The prickly pear lemonade was sweet with an extra dose of sugar. Yikes! I had to dilute with water and ice. This WAS our secret little lunch spot where the food was good and the service was friendly. Not anymore.

We’ve had mixed reviews here over the years. The venue outside is so lovely, I wish the food would bring the same response. All I can say is stay away from the quiche. This was absolutely horrible, covered in grease and a flavor that cannot be described. The fruit cup looked great so I ordered that after the quiche was delivered. Unfortunately, the fruit cup was layered in such a fashion as to sell it. It was actually old, and some was unrecognizable when I got to the bottom. Next time, I’ll order something less complex. Tablemates enjoyed egg dishes so I would guess they do some things better.

This is a jewel in the desert. Come here for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The outside seating area in the garden is a perfect spot for breakfast. The food is great and the servers are friendly. A must if you are visiting Tucson.

Beautiful outdoor location amid flowering desert plants and cacti! Went for tea– landed up staying for lunch. Good vegetarian choice. Fancy Harney and Sons tea. Friendly and polite staff. I guess, since I was on vacation and had left freezing Manhattan, I didn’t even mind them asking us to move to another table since a new waitress had accidentally seated us on a table that had been reserved.

Service sucked. Hostess had us standing out in the cold while she sorted menus before seating us. Waited at least 15 minutes before our tea and coffee arrived. We ordered immediately at that point. Food was okay but charged extra for over 3 ingredients. My omelet was $ 15! And the phone number should be 5207426455 for this listing. It’s also no longer The Tea Room.

I recently hosted a bridal shower at the tea room and had a great experience. I planned it from Illinois and the staff was very accommodating and responsive to emails and phone calls beforehand. We had asked for a table outside, but it was cold the day of and they offered to move us inside. We ended up with a private room for no extra cost. Food and service were great too. I would definitely recommend Tohono Chul for hosting an event!

I went here last year for brunch and it was really great! But, we were told the holiday Festival of Lights show was included with dinner and it wasn’t! $ 15 per person after spending $ 200 at the restaurant for mediocre food… no way! We but we def wouldn’t have eaten there if we knew the light trail wasn’t included.

I had absolutely no idea this place was here. It is a secret garden and it is glorious. Blooming flowers, trees, and succulents abound. Hummingbirds zoom about. The huge umbrella for our table gave us just the right amount of sun and just the right amount of shade. These are good things because we had to wait. Like a, I-hope-you-brought-snacks-in-your-purse kind of wait. I was here with my best friend for brunch. We try a new place every month(otherwise we don’t see each other). Waiting, for us, is no big deal. A large group(over 25) of 70-somethings«got their order in before ours», our server told us — and so the two of us waited an hour for our food. However! Our drinks were kept full(hot tea, and a deliciously fruity ice tea), and we ordered(and received) a scone early as an appetizer. While I think someone(s) in the kitchen need some re-training, our server was attentive and so friendly despite our long wait time. There are many rotating items like«scone of the moment», «soup of the moment», «quiche of the moment»… and so on. How great is that?! We shared that scone, and my best friend got the quiche. I liked it. She liked it. I went with the huevos rancheros which is served on fry bread instead of tortilla. YUP. FRYBREAD. It was simply awesome. It wasn’t soggy, or too heavy, or any other negative adjective you’ve got to throw in the mix. The salsa(green AND red, btw!) were a little on the spicy side. I like that kind of thing, but it’s enough so that I’d think they would make a note of it on the menu. We strolled a little of the grounds and the cute shop which is full of local artisan things(& some junk) before leaving. Take away? This place is beautiful and the food was delicious, and especially if you(like me) had no idea this place even existed, I think you should go.

Couldn’t check-in, thus the review. Late breakfast on the patio. Beautiful day. Scones are scrumptious. coffee plentiful. Doesn’t get much better than this!

I had the carb free wrap which was in lettuce. The chicken was very dry. Who messes up chicken nowadays? Plus it was my friend’s baby shower, she had reserved a room and the reason why she wanted to go there was because of the potato salad sandwich. Some changes were done to the place and we were unable to have a private room. She was very upset. Plus the sandwich is not longer on the menu. The appetizers served during the party were very good though

First time, first impression, FIRSTRATE! Under new management, Restauranteur Patrick Fahey has apparently spiffed up the space and the menu offering was creative and in keeping with the park. My foodie friend from SF and I got there abit close to closing on a Sat but we were greeted by host/server Marissa with a warm smile and welcome. A delightful young lady who appreciated my Red Sox cap. We both ordered the Cobb Salad, and it was unlike any Cobb I’ve had– what a wonderful combination of fresh spinach, their amazing house made cinnamon apples(you have to taste them to believe how wonderful they are), freshly made cheese crisp croutons, perfectly cooked bacon, and more… with a sweet chipotle dressing… oh, and we added chicken to the salad– moist, grilled strips of chicken breast… Chef Fahey came out to see how things were which was appreciated and we had a lovely chat. You may know him from Flight Grill at Pima Air & Space Museum. We wish him well… will be back for sure and recommend«the new and improved» TCPTR. And, compliments to the chef who created our salads that day! Good Luck!

Just returned from was, until now, a regular Sunday morning breakfast. New operators. New menu, new staff, much higher prices, smaller portions. The atmosphere has also suffered but that is due to remodeling so I won’t fault them for that. moved to a plain Patio or a very stark dining room. Food was OK but not worth going out of you way for and certainly not wort the price. Would have given them at least 4 stars before the change. If you’re a regular, like we were, beware. They no longer take American Express

Seriously??? Out of fry bread, steak sandwich and french fries and two other salads on a SATURDAY??? That’s practically the whole menu right there! Where do I begin!!! One the service was not great either. We waited for our server to show after 20 minutes. We didn’t complain because we like the place and its beauty, but COMEON!!! be more available to your customers at least let us know you are near or even let us know that you know we are there!

Not a bad first showing TCPTR! Met some extended family for lunch and it was pretty tasty. The menu is extensive, with options ranging from scrambled eggs to a grass-fed beef burger. Everything has a tinge of Mexican influence. Didn’t try tea, though I“m looking forward to getting back for that. The place itself is a touch outdated, but also sweet at the same time. Service was spot on.

A lovely desert oasis to enjoy lunch before touring the grounds of the park. A wonderful place to bring out-of-town guests also. The service was excellent and the food was fine, albeit a bit expensive. I bet this place is jumpin’ when The Queen arrives!

Great space amidst a beautiful desert scenery. It’s a great place to take your friends or family or to go for a romantic meal. Quality of food was great. The offer gluten free and vegetarian options. The portion sizes are just right and possibly leave a tad of room for dessert. They can also make smaller portion sizes or modify entrees for children. Service was okay, at times attentive and at times slow. They have indoor and outdoor seating so depending on the weather, you can have an ideal dining experience.
