The new menu scrambles are a total waste of money. Portion size is a child’s plate and at $ 8.99 it’s way overpriced. Not terrible tasting but hardly worth the time and effort. Stick to the reliables — the things you know.

I was craving dessert so decided to stop by and got a slice of chocolate raspberry pie it was good! $ 3.99 …(reminds me of a Coco’s — this is a breakfast diner) Big parking lot.

This review is for the fruit pies only. Fantastic apple and peach pies. Great crust and the fruit still had a firm texture! This isn’t canned pie filling. I was really blown away by the quality. I was told that they are made in house

Great service on Sunday mornings! Definitely here almost every sunday. Although I was suspect about trying their menudo, it is definitely comparable to other places around town and quite tasty! I also enjoy grabbing the community papers at the front doorway.

Ugh, just your usual Ihop with a different name. To be fair, it is slightly better than Ihop — but not by much. The prices are definitely a little bit more expensive too. When you walk in, your eyes are greeted by a huge display case of pies… pies galore and they looked delicious. I was asked if I wanted a booth or a table — so that was nice to be given the choice. This place has free wifi, but guess what? No outlets. In the whole room, I only found 1 outlet near a small table and soon discovered that it didn’t work. Needless to say, my laptop soon died and that free wifi did NOT come in handy. I ordered french toast which was comprised of a small bowl of sugared strawberries(man, I am not a fan of those at all, why can’t they just give me fresh strawberries) and 3 slices of thin french toast cut diagonally with huge globs of whipped butter on each triangular piece. I quickly wiped those off and ate the french toast, which wasn’t very filling. The waitresses were all very kind, but I don’t think I’d go back, especially now that I know their outlets don’t work so you can’t use their wifi for very long. My total: $ 5.67.

I don’t know what the address was. The closest one to Juarez? Who cares. I miss it. The Ex and I used to go to Village Inn after spending inordinate amounts of time either a) drinking b) drinking c) driving or d) in a hotel room.(Oh yeah, not drinking AND driving. Just one). As it happens for people who go to military school and you aren’t 21 and close to the border of a country that has a lowered drinking age, you’re going to go, and go often. So in one memorable occasion, I walked across the border in heels, screaming out the names of spanish shops and saying«i love you» in japanese. Oh HAI mr. policeyman! June was hungry. Colin was hungry. Jaime was sick to her stomach. So we ordered. June ate my fucking food. I was also passed out in Colin’s lap trying not to barf. The next morning I begged Colin to take me back to Village Inn. Being the most wonderful boyfriend he was, he obliged(but still bitched like a little girl, because, well, it happens). I ordered the same thing I get at IHOP – eggs over medium, crunchy crunchy hashbrowns, whole wheat toast, and pork sausage links(oh noes! da jew fucked up! its ok, I was having a christian day.). Yes, I know. No panqueques, but still! The food was comforting. I loved it. I devoured it. I go every single time I find one. Why? Because of the times I had here. Despite being ex’s, we were also best friends. I laughed so hard here that I fell out of the booth, and caused quite the stares from other patrons. I suffered through hangovers here with friends, felt loved and cured a few broken friendship hearts. Village Inn was the first restaurant Colin and I went to when we first got together and he met me at the ABQ airport. Just make sure that you come here AFTER you’ve projectile vomited all over the street. Their food is great for taking the taste out. YUM!(Hungry now? :D :D :D)

Think of it as the Denny’s of TX… only worse. After a long nite on the town, we decided to stop in for a quick after-hour snack. I order breakfast, because that’s the way I roll. Eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, and juice. I asked for the eggs over medium… they came out over easy. The sausage and hash browns came out really greasy. The hash browns had been on the grill a little too long, making it extra crispy, but not burnt. I really shouldn’t have eaten this. I should’ve had the menudo.
