I love Whataburger. At any given time my blood is at least 50% Whataburger gravy and fries. My heart is mostly composed of Whataburger with spicy ketchup on top. I’m a Texan. But I don’t particularly enjoy coming to this Whataburger because simply, service sucks. They’re a stones throw away from UTEP and from what I’ve seen, they’re always packed. I’m not bothered that they’re always packed, I’m bothered that a lot of the staff isn’t in any hurry. I don’t like seeing people just standing around when I’ve been waiting for my food for over 20 minutes. I recommend going through the drive-thru here if you don’t have a lot of time to wait. All that being said, it’s fast food, but it’s pretty dang good. Their spicy ketchup is delicious on everything. Right now I’m slightly obsessed with their Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit… when they start selling their Honey Butter sauce in stores I will be buying at least a gallon. And what I really love about Whataburger is you can get breakfast from 11 at night to 11 in the morning. So when you need sobering food, you can choose between breakfast or burgers here.

I got back to my hotel and found out my burger was missing the most important part, the meat. I went back to get a replacement, but they took way too long and had strange looks on their faces. I wasn’t about to eat the new burger. I went to Taco Bell instead. This was the first time this has happened to me. My wife said she has had this happen also at a Whataburger. I’m done. Never again.

Drive in, fast food. Nothing special about this particular location other than being located near the UTEP campus. The service was ordinary but it is «fast food» afterall, I go to this place because they’re only available in the Southern parts of the Country. It’s a good fast food burger joint, hence the name«What a Burger». Hey WhataBurger, how about expanding to Wisconsin?

I am from Cali, but I recently moved to El Paso. So when I was craving some in-n-out, I was told I should go to Whataburger… I was not disappointed. great fresh taste. Great service at this location. I regularly stop by at this location now.

So I thought I would give this Whataburger one more try since the last burger I ate with rotten slimy lettuce. This time it was morning. So as soon as I walked in and waited in line, the manager told me she could help me at her register. So when I walked over and gave her my order, she apologized and said I should wait in line where I was before. I tried to ask her why she did that but she walked away from me. Then, I ordered my meal and told the cashier that was weird. She at least acknowledged it was. Needless to say, it felt very strange. Then, when they brought out my order the guy asked everyone if it was theirs when my number was sitting right beside me while I was standing there! Finally, I got my order without so much as a thank you! I checked my food and it was half a burrito in size! I paid five bucks for a two dollar meal! I ate the soggy burrito that almost made me sick about halfway and threw the rest away! This is one place I recommend you skip! Bad service and bad food!

I was staying at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn and quite frankly didn’t feel like paying $ 14 for their breakfast every day especially when there’s a Whataburger just over the road. An egg sandwich and a coffee and I was set.

I don’t think you can truly appreciate What-a-burger until it’s taken away from you. Living out in ‘Vegas did the trick for me and every trip back to EP involved the EP classics: Chico’s and What-a-burger! Nothing like a classic burger, no cheese, plenty of mustard, and there’s something about the freshness of the veggies they throw on top that make it super delicious. I stick to the #! to get the full effect but everynow and then their dippin’ gravy calls me to get the chicken tenders, which are whole pieces of chicken by the way. No processesed stuff here! This one tends to be a little on the busy side but that doesn’t require any sacrafice on service. They got two drive through lanes so you’re in and out in 5 mintues. Want a to enjoy a nice warm afternoon? Sit in the patio space outdoors! Overall, when needing a quick meal that’s still worth the fast-food price, I head to What-A-Burger!!!

For a quick burger joint this is great. Soft buns that have been grilled, tasty beef, cheese and green chile that was cooked on the griddle first. Onion rings are really really tasty. My sweet tea was good and fresh. Don’t dare go to mcD or Burger King!!!

I’ve never heard of this place until I reached the Texas state line and saw about 5 different ones within 3 miles from each other. When I’m feeling lazy I’ll go through the drive-thru to get a cinnamon roll, coffee, and hash brown sticks… potatoes in the shape of a stick, who knew it would be so tasty?! There was one incident where a big a$$ truck was blocking the drive thru so I had to walk inside. Here’s my disclaimer: I always have full makeup on and heels at 2AM because of work. I swear, I’m not a stripper but I have to be in this attire as a yuppy(young professional). However, I don’t believe the men inside the restaurant cared and I strongly feel they were drunk. As I ordered my usual breakfast I felt the heat of their eyes on the back of my head. As I gathered my bag of guilty treats in my hand and proceeded to walk out of the dining area, I glanced at the reflective door and saw one of the dudes checking me out. As I pushed through I heard, «I love you!» then another, «I love you, girl!» by his buddy. Oh, El Paso at 2AM on a weekday morning. How you never cease to amaze me. Long story short, get your grub from the drive thru unless you want to hear cat calls from drunk men.

Great fast food joint! Restaurant was clean and had friendly workers. What more can you ask out of a fast food restaurant?

I don’t eat fast food, but with whole wheat buns, amazing onion rings, and chocolate malts for dinner last night, I’m already craving another Whataburger visit. Points off because the staff here seemed to have a hard time dealing with a post football game rush. And she didn’t know what a whole wheat bun was(like I said, they have them and we ended up getting them, it just took a bit).

Burger King and especially McDonalds have nothing on Whataburger. Unlike some other places these burgers are actually fresh, grilled and oh-so delicious. The fries are always nicely salted and hot. We’re taking a road trip to Texas next month and I have already planned our route … stopping at every Whataburger location I can find.
