Terrible service. From server to cashier. We arrived and there were about 3 people in the restaurant. We were seated and waited 10 minutes to get our drink and food order taken. We looked around to see employees, hostesses and servers sitting eating their breakfast while we waited to order. One we ordered we waited 25 minutes in an empty dining room for our food which when it came out was cold. When we asked for our waitress to warm up our food, she rolled her eyes. We left to pay and let the hostess know about our experience to which she replied«oh ok» and didn’t even apologize. Worse experience ever.

I have been a Village Inn diner here sine it first opened in the late 70s, but for reasons unknown Unilocal has applied all my check ins, photos and reviews to a Village Inn in Tucson, AZ. The last time I ate in a Tucson Village Inn was like… never. Today was a chance to try the Southwestern flavor recently added to the menu. My wife had the breakfast enchiladas and I had machaca. In both cases, it was decent but no competition to the hundreds of Mexican restaurants in El Paso. We have way too many great mexican breakfast alternatives to rave about this place. But it’s OK if you have several people with several tastes. I’d much rather go with the corned beef hash and eggs or the chicken fried steak skillet.

Really disappointed with the supposedly ‘Best Pie In America’ slogan they use. I have had some great pies here, but just went and bought a peach pie($ 9.99) and was really pissed off. Wanted to return but had already cut 4 slices for family members and had to let it go. Everyone complained how dry it was and how it was scorched on the top. Just bought one a week ago and it was excellent. Now it was terrible and to top it off, the bottom crust was raw even though the top was scorched. Had a bad feeling when I had to choose from 5 pies that all appeared scorched and that they had over flowed their contents. But, it will serve me better next time. The management should have better oversight of who cooks these pies and the settings for the oven, etc. Someone fell asleep on the job. Definitely not the ‘Best Pie In America’.
