We were looking for dining chair about a week ago, and we went home and my husband absolutely likes a pair of chair he saw in here so we decided to come back and buy them.
It was fine, the chair got sold to other people but it didn’t surprised or upset us. So we asked the sales person about their products, see if we can order the chair from storage, etc.
Not once, not a single time the salesperson looked at me and answer my question to me. I was the one with the questions since my husband likes them so much and I want him to have it. To make sure I wasn’t crazy, I ask another question. Again he looked at my husband and spoke only to him. That’s when I walked away towards the door and ready to leave.
This does not happen just now, last week when we went the first time I got the same treatment from a different salesman.
I’m glad they sold the chair to other people.

Go see Dean! After a terrible experience at another furniture store he showed us a selection of sectional sofa options, and found the exact fit. I will be recommending him to all our family & friends. Could not be more happy!!!

this is a review of their online furniture sales. If you don’t have time to read all of the details of how ridiculously terrible their service is, just be forewarned: shop somewhere else.
I tried to order a couch on the phone. every time you try to talk to them on the phone, by the way, it takes an hour and a half to get through to a human. my first choice couch was available in a couple months. same thing for my next choice. so I bought my third choice, which they said I could get in about a month.
I could see from emails that they had my address wrong. I responded in email several times about that, but never heard back from them, and I could see from subsequent emails that the address was never corrected.
then the order was delayed by 20 days. I got an email saying that if I didn’t respond the order would be cancelled, so, annoyed at this point and resolved to never shop at macys again, I did not respond.
then I got an email saying that the furniture was ready to ship. I sent several emails saying to cancel the shipment. I figured if I sent 3 or more somebody might pay attention to one of them. I still haven’t gotten any confirmation that the order is cancelled. when I call, the recording says the furniture is ready to me delivered. I assume they will deliver it, but I won’t accept it. I also assume I’ll have to spend another hour and a half on the phone to get my money back, or possibly hire a lawyer.

Horrible service. Crazy and rude people working. They were so inconsiderate… just shocked and disgusted. How do these type of people even get hired!!! Never coming here again.

Never order furniture from Macy’s! I just went through the worst and most confusing customer service I have ever experienced. I decided to purchase a couch that was a stle and color that was part of the show room, not a custom order. This order was made on a Sunday and was told that the couch was in stock and I could get it as early as the following Wednesday. I agreed, paid the delivery charge, purchased the warranty and was delighted thinking this was such an easy experience. The next day I received three emails and three phone calls verifying the delivery time and date. Due to all of the confirmation I felt that I could sell my old couch so that I could have space for the new one. I also took a day off of work so that I was available. Well, the day before the delivery at 15 minutes befoe the customer service line was to close I was told there was an error with the inventory data system and all of the orders that were made on Sunday were wrong. Basically they didn’t have the couch I ordered in stock and were going to have one shipped from out of state. I didn’t get a chance to agree or disagree to what was happening because the line was going to close. I was given the «direct extention» of the customer service rep to call first thing in the morning. I thought about it and looked online finding the Unilocal reviews and decided that I wanted to cancel my order. When I called in the morning I never got the person I spoke to the afternoon before. I was routed through a general number where I was put on hold. After many minutes of holding the phone rang to voicemail so I left a message asking to speak with the person I spoke to before. I did this two times. The end of the day was nearing and I noticed that the purchase hold in my bank account disappeard. At this point I just wanted to make sure my order was actually canclled. My mind was definitely made up to not trust this company. At this point I called every Macys number I could find and finally spoke with a manager who gave me a whole different story about my order. I aksed her to make sure my order was cancelled and wanted a confirmation number, her name etc… All I could get from her was an email which I had to ask for. Since I had been talking about my issue a couple of my friends called to try and order the same couch which was listed in stock and both were told different stories. One said that they actually do not know inventory and just make sales no matter what and another said that there was a couch that could be delivered that day and with a discount. Due to all of this ridiculousness and several different stories I do not trust Macys. I wouldn’t order anything from them and at this point I don’t even want to step foot in one of their stores. Please be weary of this company when making purchases and also read the other Unilocal reviews. Seems like what I expreienced is very common.

Make sure to drive a fancy car or wear some bling bling cause they don’t acknowledge you unless you have that. I was ready to drop 1000 $ for some discounted furniture but no. No help and they all just sat there doing nothing. The company is wasting money just paying them to sit there do nothing. Worst customer service ever. I have money so give me good service. never coming back to this place ever again. Ass holes!!!

Very poor customer service. Went by to look for furniture for a new house I am purchasing. None of the salespeople asked if they could assist me. At least five walked right past me and none even stopped to ask if I needed assistance. To make matters worse, one salesguy was going on and on about a customer and how horrid they were and had «no manners.» I found this to be completely unprofessional and I heard him ranting all over the store, the same story. Save it for the break room, not in front of other customers. I found what I wanted and will order online.

We knew exactly what we were looking for and approached the counter to order our chairs. They rang us up and we said, «when can we pick them up». Oh you can’t pick them up, they are manufactured elsewhere and will take over a month to deliver, AND you must have them delivered for $ 130 fee (the price of another chair).
If delivery is mandatory, just include it in the price. Shame on you Macy’s!
We went to Dania and got just what we wanted, with excellent service and no ridiculous shipping requirements.

Worst customer service I’ve ever meet, never purchase furniture from Macy’s or Macy’s online. Can I give zero star?
Two weeks ago, I purchased a set of leather sofa from Macy’s online. The online purchasing was easy, they arranged the delivery for me the next Thursday. I got a phone call confirmation of delivery one day prior to delivery date. However, on Thursday nothing is delivered and no one was contacting me for anything unexpected. So I called Macy’s to ask why, they said don’t know what reason, the order was cancelled. And asked me to confirm my address, phone number, etc again.
Then I trusted them again and they promised to deliver the next Tuesday (today). Two days prior to that they phone called me and confirmed the delivery date. One day prior to that they phone called me to confirm the time slot (12:00Pm to 2:00PM). On the delivery date, I (have someone) waited until 3:00PM and not seeing anyone coming. No one is contacting me for any delivery time change.
Then I called Macy’s again, to my surprise, they said the order was canceled this morning, and ask me to provide my credit card again and they can arrange a delivery next week. If I don’t call them today, they would let me wait for my furniture delivery forever without any notice or explanation! Isn’t it the worst customer service in the world.

Very impressed with the selection, quality, price and service we received. Kim was our sales person and did a great job not pushing anything on us. We made our purchase, along with the 7 year worry free protection plan. Very pleased all around!

The sales people here is absolutely creepy. We came to just look at some furniture casually and the sales person follows us in a distance the entire time through the whole entire store. I can perfectly flag someone down if I need help, or if I say I’m just looking when greeted at the door, I don’t want to have a stalker through the rest of the trip. I don’t get this passive aggressive selling approach but it was very creepy to have a pair of eyes following you as you shop.

I came looking for a coffee table, didn’t find what we were looking for but a good array of furniture and staff that wasn’t overly intrusive

Selection is on the low side. Maybe it was just my timing since it is the Holiday Season. However, I found the PERFECT COUCH! So, I was very impressed and I didn’t have to take long to decide. Purchased it INSTANTLY and before was even signing the Credit Card Slip, they had the Couch Wrapped and Ready.
Plus… They will load everything for you!

I wish we would have read the reviews before making an expensive recliner leather couch purchase here. Upon my first visit, the salesman wasn’t pushy and was informative. However, when we returned to make the purchase the pushiness of the sales team was crazy. We have had our couch set for less than a year and have already had to exchange TWO parts of the set! The reclining chaise refused to stay up and would recline on its own (the replacement piece is starting to do that now too), and one of the console pieces had a smashed cushion upon delivery.
Speaking of the delivery itself, that was convenient and timely. The delivery guys were prompt and professional.
As far as the exchanges… those were a little inconvenient as our sales person «couldn’t» do anything and would only refer us to the customer service line for assistance.
When we were making our purchase we were bombarded with requests to purchase one of the many warranties. Over and over again the sales team kept trying to get us to purchase a warranty. We didn’t because we didn’t expect that a $ 3000 couch would rip or tear or start to show wear in a short amount of time. We are NOT hard on our couches. There aren’t children jumping all over them, spilling things on them, and we have kept them in the same spot that they were placed when they were delivered. However in less than a year some of the seams are starting to bust… the reclining chaise is starting to fail, and the armrest cushions are already going flat.
We are already planning on moving that set to another room and making ANOTHER purchase for our main living area. What a waste of $$$. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

We walked into Macy’s Furniture gallery and found the PERFECT couch for my wife and I’s new apartment. It was the first one we saw. The employees were so polite and excited for us (we’re newlyweds) and eager to help us get our couch right away. We even paid the extra cash to have it delivered. The assured us that within the week we’d have our couch delivered and that they would contact us to schedule a delivery time. One week without a couch, huh? We can make do with that. Sounds good!
That was August 30^th.
Currently we still don’t have a couch. I’m a pretty understanding person and try to give customer service the benefit of the doubt because I know their job isn’t easy. So when they finally got back to us that it’d be longer do to an error in the warehouse, we were annoyed but understanding and didn’t express much grievance. Then the bullshit continued. We’ve dealt with numerous phone and email conversations with these people trying to just get our couch and have been returned with vague «Sorry about that but there’s nothing we can do.» Nothing you can do, huh? Have you ever tried doing your job maybe?
After threatening to complain about their service and never shop their again, they finally emailed me promptly TELLING us what day they were going to ship it. Oh, a Tuesday afternoon is when you decide you’re coming by? Thanks for consulting us and our 5 day work schedule. I called and chewed out their customer support. The woman I spoke to got my frustration and agreed that made no sense and that we should get it much sooner than that… then she called some people and responded with «oh actually… we can’t…there’s an issue with the warehouse… sorry about that.» When I demanded compensation she simply said no, they can’t do that. Bullshit.
So we decide we’re going to get nowhere talking with them and decide to change our schedules around their inconvenient delivery time. A couple days after this phone call, Macy’s calls me to tell me that «our transaction was not approved and that we need to call Visa.» I told them that made no sense and they replied that it may be a security protection thing since the transaction had to process through New York (which also makes little sense). I verified «you want me to call VISA?» and they told me multiple times yes (which was also bullshit, I’ve never had to call Visa for anything in my life — you call your bank for issues like this. Seriously, do they even understand their own system?). They told me to call them back at an 888 number once I got it sorted out. After consulting our bank we got the transaction approved. I called Macy’s back at the number they provided which skipped ringing and immediately went to «we’re sorry all of our agents are busy — call back or leave a message.» Every time I called I got this message. I left them multiple voice mails to verify everything and told them to «CALL ME ONCE YOU GET THIS MESSAGE because we’ve dealt with too many issues with this couch and want to avoid another one.»
Two days later the purchase finally appeared on our bank statement. A success, we thought. Today we look at our account and the money is bank in our account and the transaction has disappeared. This is too much trouble for a couch. Whatever happened to paying for something and getting it when you’re told you will? So now I’m trying to call their store and no one will answer. Last time we were there I remember an employee spending the entire 30 minutes gossiping on the phone (not joking) so maybe that’s taking up their phone line. We’re supposed to have our couch by Tuesday but reading other reviews I feel like that might now happen. It’s fine, you know, I just have to take a day off of work to be there when it comes.
I will NEVER shop at any Macy’s ever again — whether it be furniture or the standard department store. I have never been so mistreated by a store. Over promising and under delivering. This place is a scam. Not having a couch has limited us from doing so much. Our families want to come over and see our new home and we have to keep denying them because there is literally no place to sit. Don’t spend money to support this awful company. I will continue to tell me friends to do the same and take to social media to make sure everyone knows. I just want my god damn couch.

After a shopping spree in the local furniture stores, this was by far my worst experience. Bad service, stuffy feel and pushy sales people. I bought a couch from here and had to return it after just too much drama. Come on people, it is a stupid couch. Just figure it out. Stick with Kasala, Dania or Moe’s for your furniture purchases.

So, we needed a mattress. A good one.
We tried across the street at the discount place but there was one queen mattress available due to it being close to inventory time apparently. So we moved on.
We went in and were greeted by the helpful salesman, Bob.
Bob was awesome.
We tried a few beds– okay, all of them– and kept hemming and hawing, I mean, it’s expensive, and we weren’t clear what we wanted to do.
In the end, we left and tried one more place that I won’t name (with those annoying commercials) and it was awful. Price/​quality ratios weren’t even close to Macy’s and we decided we were beat, no more mattress shopping.
On the way home, we realized we had a question after getting closer to making a decision. We called and asked to talk to Bob. He answered our question graciously and we decided to wait until the next day to decide.
In the end– I know, by now you’re holding your breath, WHAT HAPPENED? WHAT MATTRESS DID YOU BUY? It’s a cliff hanger of epic proportion so I won’t waste anymore time… we bought the floor model we had called about. Half firm/​half plush, it was marked at ½ the list price and it was perfect for us.
But once we decided, we called Bob again and when we couldn’t come in right away, he offered to take our payment over the phone so we wouldn’t lose the one of a kind item.
When we arrived to pick it up, he had wrapped it in plastic for easy transport and he personally carried it to the truck we hired.
Awesome. Truly Awesome.

I have been to this location couple of times now. I think they are probably the biggest Macy’s furniture gallery in the Seattle area. They have nice contemporary furniture as you would expect from Macy’s. The staff is friendly and honest. I liked a dining set which was out of stock and only the floor model was available. The sales agent (I think his name was Tim) was honest about how long it might take to get it delivered. I really appreciate that. I hate false promises. The sales folks are not pushy. The only reason I didn’t give it a 4 or 5 star is because I saw some poorly assembled furniture on the floor.

Another place I keep in mind when looking for furniture to fill the house. I always find that they have the best looking living room sets, dining tables and bedroom options. The price seems high if you buy them at full price. You should NEVER do this. Be patient and wait for them to have their sale AND when they have there no interest for one or two year credit offer. Don’t worry, ask an associate there to contact you when the next sale is and you will save a lot of $$$. Trust me, I know! =)

Whatever you do if you do buy at any Macy’s furniture store do not buy the extended warranty! IT IS A SCAM my aunt found out the hard way and since we have discovered the extent of the problem with Macy’s.
The selection is nice. The prices are ridiculously high unless it is on sale and then it is barely comparable to other stores in the market they are in.
They actually charge you a fee to pick something up at the warehouse!
The only reason to buy here is if you need to pay in time with their Macy’s card, otherwise shop a different way.
