Applebee’s

After many years decided to try Applebee’s Tukwila again. Now I remember why it
took so long… about 25 minutes from ordering to be served. My handheld «Triple Hog Dare Ya» was missing any pulled pork. So instead of re-​making they just brought out some on a plate. Then the server said he maybe can take something off the bill for the mistake. Wow… a whole $ 3 dollars! No table visit from the manager for the delays. No offer of a beverage for the inconvenience. I had to ask twice for a take out container. This is what chain dining will always be so save your hard earned money and support independent restaurants folks.

The service was so slow. The staff seemed confused on assignments. Some were just twiddling their thumbs and others were busy.

It’s good for happy hour options and the cost is cheap too. If I need a drink and hangout with friends to just unwind from the crazy week, it’s a good place to go.

I feel like apple bees has gone down hill. The food isn’t that good and the service is not that much better either. Was very disappointed.

I’ll give it a 3.5 after they changed their happy hour menu, not much selection then what it was before. They have good happy hour drinks such as Margaritas and Long Islands. Personal favorite is quesadilla burger.

I like apple bees! I think their HH is so awesome. I love love and love their margaritas, that’s all I have to say hahaha. I’d highly recommend coming here, it’s chill and a good place to eat. Casual vibe.

I haven’t been here for a while, but I wanted to try the Texan burger. I ordered it without cheese or BBQ sauce, and it came out with both. I sent it back, and I figured I’d have to wait a long time for another one, but they said they’d put a rush on it, and it really did come out quickly.
It turned out to be a great burger. The brisket was good, and the chopped onions made it slightly reminiscent of White Castle. I love the new buns — they’re really hearty and flavorful, and still slathered in butter and perfectly toasted. The fries were crispy and well-​seasoned, too.
I got the order to go, and I like that they’re putting the fries in paper bags now so they don’t get soggy in those plastic or styrofoam takeout containers.

My girlfriend and I were on our way down south and we decided to go and grab a bite to eat this past Saturday ³⁄₁₉ at about 530 pm. We chose applebees in Tukwila because we wanted to watch the Gonzaga Basketball game. We proceeded to sit in the bar and asked if we could turn the tv to the zags game. Our waitier, I forget his name, said yes let me work on it. They ended up turning the channel for us but had a different game and it wasn’t the Gonzaga game. I kindly asked again our waiter again if he could have someone switch it to TNT for the Gonzaga game and he replied «My manager is getting sort of pissed off that he is having to do this and mess with the TV’s but I’ll see what I can do». The waiter then proceeded to tell me the manager was new.
I just about walked out of the restaurant at that point except I was ¼ of the way through my beer. Bottom line– I won’t be going to this place ever again. Poor customer service.

This is the worst location ever they need to just shut down never get what u order or its half cooked I have had the worst experience with this fking place then management comes out looking nasty sites and scabs all on him who want you serving them anything

This is probably the worse Applebee’s in a 15 mile radius. The servers are slow and do not like their job. We had a very large group so I can understand the running but not the attitudes. One person in our group ordered a Caesar salad and when they came with it the Roman lettuce was browning. Not good at all. Our orders were brought out wrong about 3 different times to where we just said forget it stopped eating the food and left. Applebee’s food isn’t really all that good btw. The spinach dip was gross. This place is great because of the service. The employees are always in a good mood and make you feel welcome. Food isn’t the best but it’s not bad either.

I’ve got nothing against Applebee’s, my boyfriend and I go to the one by my house all the time. The, one time I decide to venture out with my friend, we end up hating the experience. The only thing we enjoyed about this place was the dessert and that was because it meant we could leave right after.
I won’t say the issue was the wait. We waited for out table for a long time We waited for our glasses of water for a long time. And we waited for our server for a long time, many times throughout our dinner. He, if I remember correctly, would leave in the middle of us asking for something like extra napkins or for sauce or anything and then not bother to return until later when we aggressive had to flag him down.
I get that weekends are busy and he had plenty of of other people to serve and that’s fine. It is hard to divide your attention? I’ll be fair about that.
The real issue was that my friend’s meal was delivered to her uncooked to her liking and when we addressed our server, the manager came out and gave us attitude. Luckily, my friend remained polite enough to finish the dinner so we could leave. But, trust me, we haven’t returned since and we certainly don’t plan to any time soon. I’d steer clear of this location. Plenty of other places to dine in at.

Four stars just because of our server Thor T… yes it is his name.
He got everything for a 9month old. Food was good. Never let my drink get empty which is a bonus.

Always enjoyed eating here but today was the worst experience EVER. The waiter’s name was «Jake». When we first got to our table, he didn’t even come to our table to get our drinks until we were ready to order our entrée. But the problem was he kept neglecting our table. I kept turning my head to find him & to make eye contact with him. But he would always be heading the opposite direction and rarely came to ask how we were doing. I tried using the tablet to call him over because he was just ignoring us but it still wasn’t working. When I finally got a chance to ask for more refills, I was already done with my food. He finally «noticed» us when he saw us paying and came rushing to us. I know it was busy but I was just ready to leave & was tired of waiting forever for this waiter to give us some attention.

I’m sitting in the restaurant right now and yes it is fairly busy but I asked for my steak to be medium rare and they bring me out a steak that was over cooked. I couldn’t cut it and I took a bite of it and it hurt to swallow. It took them 20 min to bring two waters and a Margarita. The manager had a little attitude with me and it’s like seriously.!? I’m paying 18 for this steak and you better make sure it is cooked to my liking. On the other hand the Caesar salad was good… But the hostess was a total sweetheart!

My husband and I went there for dinner with our 10month old daughter. The hostess was great and prompt, set up out table with the high chair before seating us so we avoided that awkward «hover over another table while waiting for ours» scenario.
Our waiter was fairly prompt with coming by and taking drink orders and that was the only positive thing I can say.
He came back with drinks and took our food order, and we weren’t given a kids menu but he knew enough of what they could do to help us order what we wanted for our daughter.
Then we waited, and waited, and waited. He chatted up nearly all his other tables and never checked in on us.
Our food was finally brought out by another girl, but no kids meal. I asked about it and she went to check. He came by a moment later to tell us the kitchen was making it now because he forgot to put it in.
We were pretty much done eating by the time her food came out, but we were not given any silverware for her food (Mac n cheese, and yogurt w/​strawberries).
When he brought back a spoon (a huge soup spoon for her tiny mouth), he made some awkward conversation about a girl he used to date who had a kid that age and how he liked it but only because he didn’t have to actually take care of him, weird!
Then as he cleared our plates he asked if we wanted the check and we said yes. I continued to feed our daughter waiting for the check. Almost 10 minutes went by and he came back and asked if we were ready for the check, «YES»!
I know this restaurant chain, and this location are not great, but this was SO BEYOND BAD!

Two stars only because the service was quite good. I ordered bourbon shrimp and chicken and there were only 6 tiny pieces of shrimp. I think they forgot to add the bourbon and seasonings as the entire plate was very bland and unappetizing. I only ate two bites. My daughter had ribs and they were dry. I told our waitress and she had the manager come out. He apologized and said he would check with his kitchen staff. He also reduced the tab. I’ve had much better food at Applebee’s in the past so won’t write it off for a late dinner.

I hate giving any establishment a negative review, however I can honestly say that I have nothing good to say about this Applebee’s and experience… Except that the hostess was nice and she clearly was paying attention to the door and incoming guests.
Our waiter was «Jake». He NEVER brought us water or had a busser bring any out. When I inquired the drinks he lacked information and remained disconnected and uninterested in my inquiry.
I asked if I could order a margarita with (a shot) of Malibu (knowing I’d pay for the extra shot) and he stated, «margarita’s are made with tequila.» ??? I KNOW that, everyone knows that, but I may not add to a drink?
He continued his rude, «I wish I didn’t work here, why do I have to serve this table» attitude throughout the visit.
Eventually we were able to make our order. (I stayed safe by ordering a menu item drink with doubles… Still confused him.)
My drink sat at the bar neglected sweating condensation as I went to the restroom, much after ordering, returned to my table and still waited.
After some time my «double Bahama Mama» made its way via food runner. It was so gross. Tasted like canned grapefruit juice and extra freezer burned ice with a metallic finish. No trace of liquor. Odd!
We waited for our food and my husband’s water… And waited. I saw a manager and walked across the restaurant to informed him that we hadn’t been given water yet. (In a 45 minute time span). The water came out with only some of our appetizers. The appetizers were shrunk down to bite sized portions… And we never received the third item ordered, which I had to further harass the manager about-​embarrassing!
My hubby asked for a side of sour cream for his quesadillas the ONE time Jake passed our table, in which we had to stop him on his way to stand by his podium. The reply: «it’s going to be $ 0.50.» No thanks! Not very redeeming.
The food was scarce, service nonexistent and all together awkward. I left HUNGRY.
We had to flag Jake down and request a bill. (Our table’s tablet thing was dead.)
And we over heard a table behind us ask for sour cream and the response from Jake was, «that will an additional 0.60.» Why would it be 10 cents more for them?!?
Did I mention it was NOT at all busy? Tuesday evening. What a waste of money and TIME.

Nothing too out of the ordinary the service was slow nobody greeted us at the door when we sat the manager had to serve us and take out order while the waitress was busy which was understandable but she walked by our tables plenty of times and did not acknowledge us all she did was cash is out she didn’t help us one bit but lucky for them I love their 6.99 burger and brew Monday’s comes with bottomless fries! I personally upgrade to sweet potato fries for a dollar extra or their onion rings which are super sweet and crispy and I also always always always ask for my all time favorite sauce in the whole wide world that they have which is also the reason I come back. Their siracha mayo on the side it is so gooooood!

Went here with friends after a long flight and can honestly say the food was not good.
Our waiter was friendly, but was confused by our order (we asked for some substitutions). Upon ordering we asked that all food came at the same time. Two entrees came and then the other three took another 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, once they came, two of the three were wrong. They were returned to the kitchen and came back wrong again, but I didn’t realize it until after the first couple notes. I have a mild allergy to one of the ingredients so I didn’t get too sick but I also wasn’t feeling good afterwards. This upsets me because I explained in advance that these were allergies. If another person with more severe allergies were to have this happen, the results could have been highly detrimental.
Rather than return the food, we just didn’t finish our meals and asked for the check. It’s not worth it if you have to return your meal twice.
To compound the situation, both myself and one of my friends felt sick for the rest of the night. I’m guessing it was the food.
Friendly waiter or not, I wouldn’t recommend a restaurant that serves allergens to people who clearly state it up front.

Bad customer service. Really bad! We waited 5 mins at the door before someone came over and said hold on one moment please. Then 3 mins later the host came to seat us. Our waitress was good but could tell she was over loaded with work. The manager gave us our food and I asked for 1000 island for my fries and he never gave it to me, he even walked by three times! Our waitress said she’s not coming back to work the next day because she’s sick of people that work there not caring, and the fact that the employees don’t get there 30 min break. That’s illegal! I vote that they change all the wait staff, bar tenders, and most importantly get a new manager! The chefs where on time with getting our food done and on time, and taste good.

Had lunch with a friend and her six year old son. The booth we sat in was very spacious. I’m not a tiny person but I felt like one sitting in that booth as the table was about a foot away. It makes eating your food less enjoyable as you would have to sit on the edge of your seat to reach the table.
The service was friendly but slow. My friend’s son had chicken nuggets and fries and my friend and I had the brunch burger. It was actually a really good burger. It had a beef patty, cheese, hash browns and a over easy egg. I would order this again.
My complaint about this place is that the food comes out very slow. We waited for our food for 30 minutes. We got refills for our drinks and that again took 10 minutes. My friend’s son then wanted a milkshake and that too seemed to take forever. It wasn’t like the place was packed so I don’t know why our orders took so long. It was pretty aggravating.
I’ll give it another chance but if it is just as slow, there are other places to eat at.

The Ribs were most and tender. When you walk in they are happy to see you. Our server is very nice. She ask how we like it done. The pictures on the walls are mostly sports, with some plans.

Our server Dustin was rude and gave us very poor service. We ordered our food and he tried explaining it to us but made us seem as though we were stupid

Applebee’s is a weird place for me. They have a good menu with variety but every time I come here nothing ever pops off the menu and is like I have to have. Also nothing becomes a favorite. The food is always good, never anything wrong. Just nothing amazing.
The staff is great for the most part, but I think now since putting in the table machines the staff kinda expects you to do some of the stuff yourself. Seated, greeted, food and bill all came out quickly. Which is what I expect at chains.
The only thing memorable about the food to me was the dessert, but that could be pregnant women talking. Great brownie sundae!

Aside from my favorite bar tender leaving, this location has had the best customer service I have experienced in along time. The waiter staff is friendly and interesting to talk to. While the wait for to go orders is a bit longer than I would like, the quality of the food is still smiling ectacular. I give only three stars because of the wait time for food.
Also, I give three stars because while I understand one cannot control the quality of the customers that wish to be served, the quality of service shown to them can be. A few nights ago an incident that could have been handled quietly ended in the manager yelling across the restaurant to call 911 because a young man refused to do something. The whole place did not need to k of there was an issue. I was sitting right across from the customer I question. He posed no threat to anyone or himself. There was no reason for the yelling. I ended up feel very uncomfortable and left without first is hang my meal.
Focusing more on my present experience, bar tender Ryan is not only cute, but also funny and very helpful. He is patient with his customers and answers questions quickly and efficiently.

love the happy hour food prices! however, drinks coupd be cheaper for happy hour, its double the price of bahama breeze down the street.

One huge disappointment! I went to Applebee’s specifically because I know they served potato skins. To my huge dismay, they no longer serve them because they revamped their menu to appeal to a more hip crowd. Major fail in my book because the staples are what people come for. Good bar food and ok drinks. No one is coming for a five star meal. Since the skins were a no go I tried the potstickers and I got 7 small hard as a rock shells with meat in them.
When I tried contacting the manager of the store the next day to share my experience, I was promised a gift certificate. Several days passed and still nothing. I called back a week later and was told. «Check your spam e-​mail». That was a joke because it was never emailed. Finally, after constantly calling corporate and the restaurant, I was emailed a $ 30 gift certificate.
I will NEVER visit this restaurant again. I will not support a place that only gets by because of convenience. The food is sub par and the experience with providing feedback was awful.

We got our appetizers in under five minutes but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Then when we got the drinks we ordered our next round because we figured it would take a half an hour to get to the table. The waiter told us that we cannot order a second round when we haven’t even started the first???

I went here recently looking to make use of an old Applebee’s gift card. I had been here several times before with «OK» experiences. This time was another one of those «OK» experiences.
We arrived around 4:30pm to take advantage of the midday happy hour prices. We ordered chicken wonton tacos, a Dirty Shirley well drink, and a glass of Merlot at happy hour rates. The wonton tacos are always great. They’re probably my favorite happy hour appetizer from Applebee’s. The drinks were only OK.
For our entrees, we took advantage of their «Two for $ 25» offer by getting boneless chicken wings, bourbon street chicken, and baby back ribs. The wings were great with barbecue sauce and ranch dip. The ribs were also delicious and tender, like they normally are. However, the bourbon street chicken seemed to be either slightly overcooked or left out in a heat lamp for too long because it was dry and just didn’t taste as great as I’ve had it before. A bit disappointing.
Our server did a great job throughout the entire dinner. She was very friendly and clearly tried her best to make things as enjoyable for us as she could.
I think the place is great for happy hour appetizers. The entrees aren’t as fantastic, but there are likely some decent ones we haven’t tried yet. I probably won’t order the bourbon street chicken again, though.

Honestly, while waiting for our food, I looked up the restaurant to «check in» and I couldn’t believe that this place has only 1 star. Now, I’m here giving it only one star. Service was unbelievably slow. We had to wait over 10 minutes for everything we asked for. Even for something as small as extra ranch or a refill of beer. I ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken tenders and to my surprise, it was SWEET. I thought I accidentally ordered something off the dessert menu or if the chef got the salt and sugar mixed up so I called over the waitress and she said it’s supposed to be like that. It literally tasted like someone POURED sugar into my Mac and cheese. My boyfriend and his sister ordered ribs and they barely had any meat on them. His dad ordered some chicken dish which was super dry and had no flavor. Portions were small and all our food tasted like it wasn’t fresh, but my pasta was by far the worst. We all now have a stomachache but hopefully it won’t get any worse than that. Never ever coming back. $ 70 down the drain.

This place has one star for a reason. Slow service, everything took over 10 minutes to get to our table. The food was also not so tasty, felt like I was eating left overs! My party and I all have stomachaches now. I do not recommend this Applebee’s. Go somewhere else to save your money and time!

Worst Applebee’s ever. I don’t even know where to start. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and I am not sure what happened to the chicken. My sister ordered penne with a breadstick and the breadstick was rock hard like it had been microwaved. My dads ribs were fine, but my moms wrap was microwaved as well. Our waitress brought our drinks, then we never saw her again and we had different people bring everything. Also, Applebee’s introduced a computer system that makes it easy to spend money, and seems almost like a scam. I would recommend any restaurant other than Applebee’s as there are tons in this area.
