Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice is my favorite chain of smoothie cafes. They stand out to me cause they offer a few different sizes you can pick from. Be careful with the large because I was too impressed for how large it was. I ordered a Mango-​Go-​Go and a Strawberry smoothie. Both were very tasty and they even use fresh fruits. Don’t hesitate to ask them to double blend your smoothie because sometimes the fruit chunks are blended all the way through.

I ordered 3 drinks & handed the girl my money. I asked is it too late to put in my telephone number? She didn’t answer but waited as I put it on. I got a message saying I could use $ 3 off if I wanted to today so I said yes. As she gave me my change, I realized she didn’t give me the $ 3 credit. I asked about it but she didn’t know so she called over some other worker. He was going to give a receipt that had his info for $ 3 off my next visit… problem is I live 5 states over. So I told him that… A handwritten note isn’t going to do me any good there. Some other girl (Lillian) butts in at this time giving a bunch of attitude. Rather than trying to be helpful, she was just rude. I just asked for my money back & for her supervisors info. More bratty teenage girl attitude. It was a complete waste of time & my $ 3 off voucher (which no longer shows on my account).

I had not experienced Jamba Juice until a month or so ago. I moved away from 71^st, so I wasn’t close to one any more, and for some reason I just forgot about it. I was going to my salon one day and decided I would stop in to see what this place was about. I had signed up for their rewards program beforehand so I was armed with a $ 3 off coupon, so my drink would be cheap in case I didn’t love it lol. I had also checked out their menu online before I went and saw something that looked really good in their ‘seasonal’ section.
My first visit was around 8:30 on a Saturday, so of course the place was empty. The workers looked bored, but once I put in my order they jumped into action. I got a Carrot Orange Fusion, which is different than their Orange Carrot Karma (the fusion has greek yogurt and chia seeds, the karma has no yogurt or chia seeds — their names are too similar in my opinion). My smoothie was ready in no time. I entered my phone number on their rewards program keypad as instructed on their website, but my coupon wouldn’t register. The worker said they had just installed that system the week before, so she went ahead and took $ 3 off. My medium smoothie went from $ 5-​something to $ 2-​something, so it was a great deal!
My smoothie was blended perfectly and tasted really good. So good in fact that i’ve been back 2 more times since then, which is something since I don’t live in the area. My only real complaint would be that their rewards system sucks. It’s aggravating when you get an email saying you have a free boost/​another $ 3 off/​whatever and you go in, put in your number like you’re supposed to, and it doesn’t work. It tracks your purchases and one of my purchases didn’t get credited. I contacted the management company for the rewards program and they basically said there wasn’t anything they could do about it. Also I had an email saying I had another $ 3 off, so I went in to use it and a «coupon» printed out with my receipt for NEXT time. The fake coupon says if I activate my account I get $ 3 off, but I believe it’s already active since i’m getting emails and texts. I know they did the phone number thing so you didn’t have to have ANOTHER rewards card, but honestly I would deal with another card just to make sure everything goes in/​credits correctly. Oh well.
Even though their rewards system sucks I will be back, b/​c it’s delicious! And they have promos every month or so for buy one/​get one free smoothies, or $ 2 for a small.

Just like every other Jamba Juice out there. Still love it.
