New World Buffet

I wish I would have known about Unilocal before eating here. I think I ate the overcooked leftovers from lunch. NEXT!

I considered giving this place a 2 star simply because the waitress was great but I just can’t. This place was horrible. The food was disgusting and nothing was the right temperature. Needless to say we will not be returning, ever.

Craptastically crappy. I’ve heard some people swear by it, but I have to wonder if they just like food poisoning. This is the type of place that drags down the words Chinese Buffet. I agree with Courtney, execpt for one thing. This place has been bad since day one. I went once and I was done. I was forced back for a second time for a business lunch. Screw the business, I’m not going back. I’ll wait in the car, thank you…

After i read the review by someone, i had to speak. This place is not that bad. Yes sometimes they run low on food, but if you ask they always fix the problem. We eat there at least twice a month and it’s our favorite chinese buffet. We been to several here in Tulsa and we still drive way out of our way for this place.

Omg, if I could write a review with no stars I would! This place used to be so good when it first opened (several years ago) — it has seriously gone downhill!
My husband and I got there around 5:30 I guess, for an early dinner before our millions of errands, and figured since there was a large group of construction workers in the back they may have just refilled the buffet with fresh food. NO! There was hardly anything out, and not b/​c the large group had maybe just eaten it all. The food that was available was not fresh — the cold items were not cold, the hot items were barely warm. Someone came out to refill 2 trays while we were trying to find SOMETHING edible, but they took so long we went to sit down. We should have just left! The ice in the sushi /​salad area was half melted, there were a lot of items sitting in water (one of them was I guess a steamed fish), and all of the trays had plastic wrap in them which made the food taste like plastic. Can they not wash the pans? Oh and they have Mongolian BBQ there, so all of the items for that were just sitting out — raw meat next to raw veggies, with melted ice… yeah that looks appetizing, no telling what kind of germs are all over that stuff. 3 people came in after we did, and the construction guys were long gone by then, and nothing was refilled until everyone was leaving (there were no other customers). Figures. My husband and I are not food wasters, we eat what we get, but there were some items I couldn’t eat so I left quite a few things on my plate. The waitress did not refill our drinks the entire time we were there — all of the workers were too busy sitting at a table eating and talking to do anything. We got up to go pay and the waitress ran over to our table and said she would take our money, like we were going to leave without paying. My husband always tips, but this was one time he felt like the waitress didn’t do anything to deserve a tip, so he gave the waitress exact change. OH, something else was that it was 102 degrees outside and they barely had their a/​c on! Good thing their food wasn’t very food, the heat didn’t make us feel like eating much anyway. We will NEVER be back!
