I ordered the wings after reading that last review and did not feel the same way. I’m not a «foodie,» so my review will not be as eloquent. Basically, if you like BWW wings then you probably won’t like their wings. I’ve been here 3 times(purchased a Gropoun) and all three times it was dead. All other food ordered was average at best.

My family and I sat on the patio for our first dining experience at Ming’s. Our server clearly had a larger table next to us, which we understood, but he still did not give us the time of day. He had been in and out of the restaurant only catering to the large table several times when we had to flag him down with a wave of our hand(not my preference, but when you’ve been waiting 20 minutes to order and continuously see your server you do what you have to…) he clearly rolled his eyes then took our order. The food took forever to come out. Overall, my family had fried rice, pad thai, spicy udon noodles and I had the ramen. Everyone else’s dishes were great but I did not love my ramen. The flavor tasted quite strange. Once again, the server took forever to get back to us with the ticket. My parents finally left after waiting for so long and my siblings and I ordered the ONE dessert that they have, the banana rolls. While waiting for the banana rolls(again, waiting way too long) my parents informed me that they witnessed our server sitting on the hood of his car smoking. While we were STILL waiting for our dessert. I wish I remembered the servers name but I know he did have an anchor tattoo on his arm. He was what set the mood for the entire experience, which was not a good one. Overall, probably will not be returning anytime soon for the bad taste this place left in my mouth(figuratively, not literally). The food was actually quite good.

Average. Seaweed salad tasty and a generous size. As I stirred up the salad, i noticed it had a fist_sized clump of seriously expired lettuce. I pulled out the clump on my extra plate, notified the waiter, who said ‚“wow. This looks bad.” Yes, which is why I lost my appetite for the rest of the salad. The Cantonese noodle bowl was Meh. Ok. No real flavor. The pan fried noodles were hard and clumped together. No where near other pan fried noodles I’ve tried elsewhere. Just OK. :( To add, on a tray next to us was cleaning solution, rags, iced tea, and an open pitcher of water. Ew. I’m sure a health code violation. Positive note: service was terrific, the venue cozy. We had the pan seared dumplings and they were delish. I went BC of a groupon, and was hoping to something waaaay different than what we were served.

I really had high hopes for Ming’s after reading the reviews from fellow Unilocalers, but gosh darn it, all hopes were dashed after my lunch date there. First, I arrived at noon and there was literally only one other patron there. It was completely empty. Never a good sign. I don’t know if this has to do with the location, lack of signage, hidden entrance, etc. but this was a depressing sight to behold. I considered sitting out on the patio as it was lovely outside but everything was covered in pollen(shakes fist). I chose a booth inside and waited for my husband to arrive for our weekly lunch date. The waiter was kind and chipper but you could tell he was really grasping at straws to keep up the demeanor. When my husband arrived, we ordered the steamed dumplings to start and were pleasantly surprised with their flavor. The sauce was fantastic! It was loaded with ginger, and I love me some ginger. When it came to our entrees, the husband ordered a noodle dish, perhaps the Cantonese noodles and I chose the coconut soup. Our waiter came back out to tell me that«something was wrong» with the soup and that whatever I chose instead would be on the house. I went with the Shiro Ramen and upon laying eyes on it, I thought I had won at life. Sigh. The Ramen was okay. The pork was very much overcooked and too chewy for me to eat. I liked the touch of seaweed immensely and would happily take more of that as it paired well with the broth flavor. The noodles were okay. The broth was not too salty but not amazing either. I thought the egg was a nice touch and finished the dish. I could have gone without the two chunks of bell pepper and the two undercooked baby bok choy pieces. My husband, who lived in Singapore for work a few years back, is picky about his noodles. I can’t fault him there. He gave his dish an «okay but I wouldn’t order it again» description. He thought it could be improved by using a larger noodle similar to what was in my ramen or an egg noodle. Overall, the dumplings were great. That was about it. Maybe the addition of chopsticks would help some? It felt odd to be in a noodle bar with no chopsticks, just a fork and spoon. I felt badly for the waiter and kitchen staff as we left. My husband asked our waiter if it was normally slow for lunch and he responded with, «Yeah. Lately. Thank you for coming by.» It’s just so hidden, and had I not been on Unilocal poking around, I would have never of known this place was even on Brookside. It’s a shame because there is something good here, it just needs some tweaking.

Love the location. Love the patio. Our server was great! The cream cheese wontons were delicious. Pad Thai was good. Will definitely be back to try the wings!

Typical Chinese food. Nothing special. Had noodles, seaweed salad, and soup. I was disappointed!

Let me preface this review by saying that I live for THAI&WINGS!!! It was a no brainier to dine in when I read the restaurant had a $ 5 dollar wings special on Wednesday. The Ming Dragon Wings are definitely a contender for best wings in Tulsa. Why, you may ask? There’s this chili basil paste they toss the wings in that leaves quite a lingering impression on your tongue, begging for more. Aside from this, I ordered the Coconut Lemon Grass soup and Pad Thai. I wish the soup was more flavorful and complex — a bit too rich for my palette. I’d suggest adding a little garlic or ginger to the soup. In contrast, the Pad Thai was relatively good. The noodles didn’t have that greasy, starch orange look I’m accustomed to — a much healthier option. However, when I promoted the waiter which oils they used to cook the noodles he responded by saying that he had no idea about the process nor ingredients. This was odd to me because I’d expect a more knowledgeable wait staff in the event of an allergy. Interestingly enough, the couple next to me left because their waiter couldn’t offer enough peace of mind to address her dietary restrictions. Despite the frustrating experience with my waiter(not to mention his incessant interruptions), I did find the food to be somewhat tasty. I’m not convinced that this will be a regular spot for me but it is worth checking out at least once.

Really salty. And expensive for almost no food My girlfriend took 2 bites of the ramen and was done. I got through half my pork. Not so good.

There are times when just a big bowl of sloppy noodles and vegatables are exactly what you need to finish out the day. Throw in some spicy pepper and chicken and your lunch makes you forget how bad your morning was. The spicy udon noodles was what I needed. The wife loved her kimchi and pork belly appetizers.

We have been to Mings twice for dinner and had wonderful experiences each time. Mings is conveniently located on Brookside but is tucked back so that it feels secluded from the busyness. The atmosphere is dim and cozy and they have an outdoor patio area with a fire. I have heard negative things about their service being very slow but this was not our experience at all. We had fast and friendly service both visits. I have tried the dumplings and the pork fried rice — both were incredible! My husband has tried the egg flower soup and pagoda pork and loved both also. My favorite part is their ginger soy sauce. Definitely ask for this with any dish! They also have a full bar and nice cocktail menu which is always appreciated by someone like me who doesn’t like beer or wine. Their food comes in generous portions and has truly unique and amazing flavors. Sometimes Asian food feels fried and heavy but that is certainly not the case here. Mings is probably my favorite Asian food in Tulsa! I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Wow! My Dad took me here for my birthday and I must say Bart and his staff rolled out the red carpet! We started with the Kimchi and Egg Roll for appetizers, the egg roll was crispy and flavorful and the Kimchi was quite a unique twist on a traditional Korean dish. We split an order of Brisket Egg Foo Young and Kung Pao Chicken, the Smoked brisket Egg Foo Young is mind blowing, the blending of Asian and American is executed flawlessly, and the Chicken was amazing, a culmination of spices and fresh vegetables was a meal I won’t soon forget! If you haven’t eaten here it is a must try if your in for something truly different and tasty!

I have never been so disappointed in Tulsa restaurant. We ordered the Cheese puffs, Pagoda Pork, and the Brisket Egg Foo Young — they were all underseasoned, gelatinously sauced, and overcooked. In my dish alone the steamed rice was as hard and dense as sandstone, the sauce was a single note of smoke with no additional flavor, and the biscuit in the egg dry and overcooked. I expressed discontentment with the food multiple times with no action or proposed remedy from the waiter. I can’t understand why this gets as rated as high as it is(currently 4 stars), I hope it was an off day for the kitchen and that’s not what they typically serve. I will not give this place another chance.

We had a nice patio dining experience at Ming’s. Though the patio is right off the parking lot, it is still quiet and secluded. The décor outside and inside was quite nice! Don’t let my three stars fool you, I will definitely be back. I think I need to just give this place a second chance to «wow» me, because I think it can! Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu items, which I believe led to some confusion when bringing out the food. My dish was good(some kind of noodles… Cantonese noodles maybe?), but the server brought my boyfriend the wrong order. It had a similar name to what he ordered, so I think that might have been where the confusion was. Overall the food we had was good. The service was a bit slow, and the server did take my [pretty expensive alcoholic] drink away from the table before I was finished. Like I mentioned previously, I definitely want to give Ming’s another try. It has a wonderful patio, and I want to get the chance to explore some of their more popular menu items. Stay tuned for an updated review :)

We LOVE this place! Been quite a few times for both lunch and dinner. Be sure and try their fried pork skins. Not even sure if it is on the menu, but it is amazing, takes them days to make it. They have a full bar and their bartender is really good. Every thing i have had there is delicious. Last time I went with friends it was for lunch and I started out with the Hot and Sour Soup and it was very good and flavorful. I am pretty picky about Hot and Sour Soup. Then I had the Moo Goo Gai Pan which can be bland at some places, but not here. It was so good and a bit different. Best I have had. They have great appetizers too and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

I wanted to love this place. The outside patio is beautiful, and the waitstaff was friendly. However, there were far less vegetarian options than I expected for a noodle restaurant. I tried the sweet potato udon with tofu, and it was unfortunate. I ate a small portion of the food before the saltiness was more than I could bear, and ended up getting a mint from a friend just to get the taste out of my mouth. I don’t see myself coming back here, I don’t want to return somewhere when my primary motivation on leaving was to cleanse my palate asap.

A really solid dinning experience. I sat on the patio, ordered a beer and ramen noodles, and started planning my next visit. Parking is easy with a good sized lot behind the restaurant. The staff was friendly and had welcomed suggestions. The beer prices aren’t bad, but I wish I’d ordered an app instead. I’ll have to try the dumplings next time. Chop sticks aren’t standard, but they can quickly get you a set if you ask.

This is a new addition to the Brookside area in the space that was the Brasserie. I went opening day and my food was excellent. I tried the homemade fried dumplings for an appetizer and order one of the lunch specials Chicken Lo Mein. My lunch included soup. I chose the Hot & Sour. My server Nathan was very helpful in answering all my questions about the menu items. I will be going back soon and trying some new items.
