Definitely worth the trip! Every time I eat here they are consistently good… And friendly!

5 stars all the way. Service is fast and friendly and the food is always delicious. I’ve been going here since high school and have always been pleased with the food. Katsu is crispy and the sauces are the best. Definitely go here for lunch or dinner.

I really like this teriyaki place. The food is great. We have taken to the very affordable Bento box for 10 bucks. Everything is cooked to serve and fresh. This service is friendly and quick. We always run into people we know here due to its popularity and location close to the Capitol. Highly recommend

LOVE their chicken katsu and egg roll dish… So much so that I haven’t tried other things there. :) Their customer service is always great and their takeout speed and prep is fantastic.

I had the lunch special with teriyaki and orange chicken. I feel they skimped a little on the teriyaki sauce but both were equally delicious. Plus they had my food out in less than five minutes!

Fast, friendly, service with a smile. The food cave out piping hot. The gyoza was crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. The sauce was just the right balance of sweet and salty. The General Tso is mild at a three, but the slow and low burn of the four is perfect. 10⁄10 will return.

Such a gem! Delicious food, amazingly kind service. Great prices! We got the tempura platter, the shrimp platter, a California roll, a chicken yakisoba and a cup of egg drop soup. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be coming back!

Horrible… worst teriyaki I have ever had. Ordered to go and did not get a fork, chopsticks, or soy sauce to drown the rancid flavor of that food. Service was fast because they obviously have a vat of ingredients they simply dump into a foam container. Lukewarm and nasty.

This is a great place for a quickie a reasonable price. The service and friendliness of the staff speaks for itself. They always make you feel welcome. I always get the chicken and gyoza and it tastes great. The lettuce with the Asian dressing is an extra that I enjoy. I recommend this restaurant!

Daughter wanted teriyaki for dinner. A bit of a drive from my house, but this is one of her favorites. I had the teriyaki chicken and sweet and sour chicken(special 2). It was darn fine. Service was really good and fast.

This is the best teriyaki in town. The owners purchased it from a man who had the same special for all the years we went there. Since the new owners purchased it, the food has improved, the portions are bigger and the sauces improved. The prawns tempura are spectacular. Also the pot stickers are to die for. I like to eat in since so many foods don’t travel well. I do take it to go too. Some nights this mom doesn’t want to cook. I have teen boys and they eat a lot. The owners are wonderful. They know my name and treat me well when calling or coming there. It’s the only teriyaki place in town that doesn’t make me swell from all the garbage most places use. I know Happy T soaks their chicken in MSG before cooking it. The ingredients are fresh here.

When I want Teriyaki chicken, I want it with the typical rice and stir fried veggies. This place serves iceburg lettuce drizzled with dressing instead of veggies. If you want veggies it will cost you more. I called in our order and asked for teriyaki chicken, rice, and stir fried veggies. They said it would be 1.00 more to substitute salad for veggies. This annoys me greatly but I said ok. I think this is one of the only teriyaki places I have gone to that doesnt serve stir fried veggies/cabbage with their entrees. When I got there to pick it up the guy charged me 1.50 for the veggies. I reminded him that he said it was 1.00. He said, «they told you wrong it should be 1.50». I told him that his employee said«1.00». He said he knew but that it was 1.50. OK, so here is the deal. I know it is .50 but the principle of the matter is that you are charging for a silly substitute in the first place. Secondly, when you quote a price, stick with it. Also, since when does a head of cabbage cost more than a head of lettuce? Thats right, it doesn’t. I eventually paid it and left. Got out to the car and found very small portions. Food tasted alright — nothing that I couldn’t get from just about any other teriyaki place. I won’t be back. There are way too many better Teriyaki places in Olympia to settle for subpar portions, ridiculous substitution prices, and arguing with customers over a price.

My dad and I decided to try this place out one day. After we had it, we decided we both likes it quite a bit! We both get the spicy teriyaki. You can tell them how spicy you want it on a scale of 1 – 5. We got the 4 and didn’t think it was as spicy as we wanted it so we got a 5 next time and it was pretty good. We both like spicy food. It’s also a pretty good value. It’s like $ 7 and you get a bunch of meat and two scoops or rice and a little salad. It fills you up pretty good. I would recommend it to people. You can get it to go if you’d like, or you can just eat there. The service is decent. Their English isn’t all that great, but isn’t that bad

This is the place we go when we want to get teriyaki that is quick and good. My son always get the teryiyaki chicken, but I like the tofu yakisoba and the egg flower soup. My friend swears by the teriyaki short ribs! It is a nice place to sit and eat, but since we live close by, we usually get it to go. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly and usually offer you a cup of tea and/or a glass of water while you wait for your order to go(and are quick to bring it to you while you wait for your food if you sit down). Nothing fancy, just a good, inexpensive teriyaki and Chinese neighborhood place that we love. ps we loved the former owner Carl and his crew, hope it stays as nice under the new owners

I’m so sad, I want Carl back!!! He definitely made eating there a good experience and the new owners have changed the menu. Where did the fried tofu go? It’s definitely not the same): The only thing that’s the same is the cheerleading calendar next to the register. Go bears!

Never disappoints The chicken teriyaki is good – not drowning in sauce like some places. The katsu is crunchy and the sauce is the best I’ve had, as is the salad dressing. The spicy chicken is my go-to favorite – but beware, if you say you want it spicy, they will bring the heat. Love this place.

I end up eating here almost once a week… this place makes some mean chicken katsu and teriyaki… The food is usually well prepared… maybe a bit over cooked at times but that’s what the teriyaki sauce is for… get it… got it… good… I’ll have mine to GO!

The chicken was fatty, the rice not sticky enough, and the gyoza was greasy and tasteless. Other than the food, I have no complaints. With so much teriyaki available in this town, I seriously doubt I’ll revisit this establishment.

«Everything is made with fresh ingredients»… the owner raves every time… «The Katsu is very popular here»… Well he’s right Bonsai can’t go wrong on any dish especially the Katsu
